I use one for a year now, and it's really great camera, good quality and readability with some clever cloud functions that actually works every time I need them. I would recommend buying it with a polarizing filter, though. Reflections from the dash with this one are especially bad.
I would think about it differently. It could be the difference between potential criminal charges against you, jail time or being able to display the truth to a law enforcement officer. Even if you're incapacitated.
Do you have a recommendation for a four channel Dash camera? I just bought a new Toyota sienna and And I want something to read north east south and west. .
Very nice content and thank you very much for that. I would like to ask you some things that a few users have been complaining about. 1) Is it possible to save the settings you've made on the camera without the monthly subscription? For example, the settings related to park mode, which is the main reason I'm looking for such cameras. 2) What are the benefits of the subscription besides the use of the cloud? 3) Have you experienced any issues with the camera's exposure to the sun? (I live in Greece and the temperature in the summer exceeds 40 degrees Celsius). 4)Also, many users mention that the camera often doesn't stop rebooting. They try changing the memory card since it's the only thing they can do, but the company acts unaware, losing customers. 5) In general, how does the monthly subscription limit me? Please answer me because the price of the camera in my country is half a person's monthly salary. Thank you again for the great content.
There is no need to go for subscriptions. This is useful for real time tracking and storing to the cloud. You can use almost all dashcam features without any limits without it. The configuration file is being stored on the MicroSD card. There have been zero issues caused by heat. I travel to Greece each and every year and never had signs of overheating. The camera may feel quite warm when you touch it though. So overall it is a safe choice. Yet, right now in 2024, I'd go for a dashcam with Sony Starvis 2 image sensor. Blackvue have such a model already. There are budget friendlier models by 70Mai and Viofo which can be as good.
Hi, thanks for the content. Really useful. Quick question, does the black vue cloud software cost money to use? Or does it come free for all black vue users?
So, if this is in parking mode or whatever it's called, and someone comes by and walks in front of the car, and then breaks into your car and steals things, including the camera, is anything saved automatically to the cloud or your phone, so that you can see who broke into your car and stole the camera?!? Thanks!!!
Please provide a link to the windshield film that you recommended we use, before adhering dash cam to windshield. I had never heard of this, and would like to use this film in my own vehicle. Thanks!
I have the 900S after about 2 years into having it the internal battery died, meaning the time on the recordings was not right, blackvue in Australia fixed this under warranty but its a shame that said battery isnt user servicable.
I bought dr900x recently and it worked fine. But after the firmware update, the playback video didnt look like 4k quality. Have you experienced this? Thanks
Hi, just a question. I have the 900x model and on my device the wifi on/off button is kind of weird - when I press it there is no perceivable „click” (you can’t feel or hear it). The WiFi is switched on or off but the feeling is strange . Is yours the same ? Or do I have some kind of defect ?
Wouldn't touch BlackVue with a bargepole. Came over to them from my Nextbase (that recorded when it felt like it) Blackview DR900X+, dead out of the box. Just kept saying "Dashcam model error" in a really Whiney American accent
Absolute garbage camera. Huge waste of money. Manual recording mode only saves 5 SECONDS of footage prior to manual activation, ensuring that all the footage you wanted is totally gone! Complaints about this all over their forums since _at least_ 2019. People have asked them more times than I can count to update the firmware to include user selectable buffer periods. No intention of doing the right thing by their customers. Just take your money and then sit back and laugh at you. Steer well clear of BlackVue. They seem to be thieves. Rob you of a tonne of money for an almost useless product.
this channel is just so underrated it's kinda sad, the content he makes is so fun and at the same time easy to digest
This comment made my day. Thank you so much!

Thanks Vladi for the comment, very useful!
did u install it your self ?
Let's hope one day I'll be able to buy a car that will be worth protecting with such a dashcam!
Or someone putting nails on your tires

Really good presentation of the dash cam!
Thank you a lot Michael.
Are all the cords compatible with the 700 models?
Nope

Hmmm , not really

have dr750 s 2ch , had for a few years now thinking
if the newer models worth the upgrade ?
Honestly, I feel that you can stay with yours. It is a good one. Tech development has slowed down
How does this compare to the Viofo A229 Pro?
Viofo has superior hardware. But I'm prefer the software on this one
Hi, is it safe to install the cam right to the car? or should I buy the external battery?
Sure, it will work fine
Does the GA (global) module have LTE built-in slot ?
Yes, you can use the one compatible with 900x
Hi, thanks for the content. Really useful. Quick question, does the black vue cloud software cost money to use? Or does it come free for all black vue users?
There is a free plan which is not helpful... The good plans cost money...
If i buy a single channel front, can i add the rear later on?
Yes, you can.

Yep, that's how it works, but for 24/7 autonomous monitoring you'll need a battery pack (~300$ I think) and a LTE modem (70-100$).
If you have the 4G module and a cloud subscription - then yes. If not - the event will be preserved on the MicroSD.
@@CronosXPX donbt waste 300$ on their battery pack lmfao. buy a lithium pack for 12v systems and port it through that. way better/cheaper/nicer
Does it dash cam come with parking mode?
Yes. You better use a hardwire kit in order to properly utilize it.

Get any phone screen folio and it will be fine.
Love your channel ...

Hi, image quality wise, this and DDPAI X5 Pro, which one is better?
here in my country the DDPAI is half the price of the blackvue
I can't really tell much difference after looking at both device recording using my mobile.
If my eyes work fine, I only see that the Blackvue has less sharpness than the DDPAI without sacrificing much detail.
Performance and image quality are similar.
I bought dr900x recently and it worked fine. But after the firmware update, the playback video didnt look like 4k quality. Have you experienced this? Thanks
Works fine here. You can if course try to revert to the previous firmware - ask Blackvure's support to.provide it.

I think it is about the same.
В България дали ги продават някъде blackVue 900s/x ?
Съмнявам се.
You should look at the DR970X I think that's a better one to compare with your 4-year-old DR900
Yeah, the review is coming out soon.

If the 5-second buffer is the reason why they are thieves... then OK.
Could be that there is a technical limitation preventing this to happen.
The phone app fpr the drx900 is crap. 1.5 star on google play
There has been an initiative to drop their rating because of a decision made around cloud subscriptions. The app is fine.
