    Shri Mahila Griha Udyog Lijjat Papad, popularly referred to as Lijjat, Lijjat Papad is an Indian women's worker cooperative that produces a variety of fast-moving consumer items. The organisation's primary goal is to empower women by giving them job opportunities. It will be a source of employment for 45,000 women nationwide (in 2021). Lijjat began as a small-scale business in an urban region; then, it extended to the countryside. It is regarded as one of the most outstanding female-led business projects related to female empowerment in India.
    Lijjat adheres to the Sarvodaya (community-wide economic and social development) and communal ownership philosophies. Each woman came prepared with a single ingredient: urad dal flour, pepper, asafoetida, spices, and seasonings. They combined the ingredients for the papad dough and rolled it out collectively to sell in the neighborhood. It now has an 800 crore rupee yearly turnover.
