iPhones take good pictures; even the older ones. I have a camera (nothing fancy) but I still prefer taking pictures on my iPhone because it’s so much smaller, lighter, and easier to use.

i try to cover the backgrounds with a white sheet to creat a solid background
of course you do. skate parks, shipping container, woods, fields, backstreets, beach (sunset), old houses, rundown houses, modern architecture, billboards. There are so many locations that you can use. Shoot the world you know!

She also mentions this stuff in some of her others, but these are the videos that come to mind; also, I don't know ow if it's mentioned in the titles above, but she does say in one to try to shoot early in the morning if you're nervous to do it around other people, and some of her challenges are inside her house/room. I would practice in my room for a bit, before I went outside to pose in a park, but that's just me; if I knew how to work my equipment efficiently, I'd feel more confident to pose in public!

honestly just trying to go out there and do it is the very best way to find confidence -- keep doing it and you'll get used to it // I can say this because I myself am such an introverted person but ive been going out and taking pictures in public and even tho I know people are there I just keep going with it most of the time people don't even really care -- you just have to remember that

I just wanted to thank you. I was thinking about how I can make my instagram better and that I need to learn to edit photos and write good captions and how much time and effort it will take etc. etc. And then I just scrolled through your instagram and the beauty of the photos just made me literally cry. And then I read a caption about how lucky humans are to be able to create and the sincerity of it amazed me. I was always scared of writing something too intimate or sincere on the internet because I thought people wouldn’t understand, but you made me want to try to do it for myself and not to think whether others will judge me. So i am going to share how i make and use a diy tripod.
Pros: it works and you can adjust the height
Cons: You get only horizontal photos.
So i use my selfie stick and insert my phone in it and i put the stick in a tall heavy bottle(i use a tall glass bottle) then you will see that it leans a little bit backwards and that makes your pictures weird + idk if it's safe for your phone. So to fix this i lean the stick to the back of a chair to make it stand straight + to secure my phone from falling. You get a straight picture( but horizontal) plus a tripod on a budget. (Take your pictures by using the timer on your phone). Here you go! If you have other tips please share.
do you have any examples (on insta for example!) of photos that you've taken this way? i've been looking for a phone tripod but all i see in stores are selfie sticks lolol
If you have an actual tripod, you can take the phone holder part off a selfie stick and attach it to a tripod or gorilla pod!
She is simply a great artist! I have almost identical gear compare to hers, but she is simply a great model who knows how to work it and does post editing consistently and beautifully. She is a true artist for sure!
Does the phone autofocus (when you go back to the spot where you’re taking the picture) when you’re use a timer

Just had the wild idea that people (I know) might not criticize me so much if I were to take photos of myself because I might take one every couple of years (if that) and this video was one that came up when I realized I searched for help. So this is basically how I look like when I take my pictures, interesting haha. I don't have expensive gadgets, just an old camera so I have to set the timer and run and hope that I like my pose and stuff. It's great to see you do this, Sorelle. You're such an inspiration.
Thank you! I've been trying to apply what you show in your vids to mobile Photography with some success, this gave me better ideas! The lack of a tripod is definitely a challenge! I'm trying to have more variety because I feel like I always take the same exact selfie. I even embraced with bushy curly hair for some and they turned out pretty good.

Ack okay this is SO cute, but there's barely any practical information in here. What phone, what app, what settings, what comparable settings might there be on other devices, tell us more about what you're doing with the front camera/back camera, is there any difference in the way you frame shots, or limitations, etc. etc. etc.! Otherwise we're just looking at you take a bunch of pictures, which was fun, but not really applicable to anyone else you know? :)

I think this was exactly the purpose of the video: to show that you can take and edit cool pictures with just your phone. Everything else you are asking is about basic photography skills/ knowledge which apply no matter what you are shooting with.
annafantasia I think it’s because this for those who have the basic knowledge already, which is why what she did is place the phone beside her camera, to have the basic idea of how it was framed. And I think she mentioned having other videos for the basics.

Oh my gosh! I've been doing this for ages (because I don't have a tripod or a camera). So I tie up my phone to an umbrella and a ladder or chair 😂🙈 and I'm so glad this is spreading! You don't need AMAZING gear to make good content! (Even though it is a bonus) you just need an idea and a lot of patience. ❤️❤️ so #doitforthegramlol
I think with the sun shots you could definately tell that te pictures were mediocre at best... Just did not have a wow factor to it at all.. And the very dark one inside I still can´t believe how it got so good quality with the phone as in my experience with such little amount of light it is hopeless :(

Are you using front camera or back camera to take these photos?
In some shots you can see she was using the front camera as well as the back one. A good trick is to take a test shot with the front, so you know what you are doing, and once you got the framing, just turn it around and make sure to position the phone the same way.
