So when you look up IELTS speaking sample answers and mock tests, you can find various candidates from around the globe.
But I bet it'll be pretty difficult to find an IELTS speaking mock test that also has feedbacks attached - about why this candidate deserves band 7.5

this guy has very good pronunciation compared to other koreans I've met. and I think those ah-eeh and other 'fillers' sound more natural. I'd agree with the examiner about the score :)

I scored 7.5 recently in my exam too! I repeated some words like “actually, in particular etc” due to anxiety. But with all the questions I didn’t pause and I answered all of them though I repeated myself when I kind of got lost in my own thoughts but I think that was pretty normal.
In my assessment with our review center I got 6.5, my coach said that my grammar and pronunciation were good but I didn’t talk much especially in Part 2
So I would like to share some tips from my experience for anyone taking the exam soon:
1. Find ways not to be anxious! Mild anxiety is normal during the exam but don’t let it affect you
-during the exam once anxiety is kicking, mindfully slow down your pace and if you can’t think of anything to say have some general phrases and words ready like “I think it would give me a sense of satisfaction/It gives me a sense of fulfillment etc. Express yourself using words to describe how you feel even just simple words like. “Sunny days make me feel happy” (applicable for Parts 1 and 2)
-These phrases/words would help your mind get back on track

동의합니다. 한국에서 초중고 다닌 사람이 IELTS 7.5가 나오려면 엄청나게 노력해야 하는거고 저 점수면 영국이나 미국 나가서 살아도 일상생활은 물론이고 대학수업도 별 지장 없이 들을 정돈데 좋은 말들좀 해 줬으면 좋겠습니다.

@@jharanakc9201 Ikr! If you're not prepared that there can be some weird random questions, you can just freeze up and flunk it merely because of the unexpectedness of it all. I prepared a few students for IELTS and always liked to throw in a few particularly outlandish questions, just so they would be ready for anything

I like how this examiner always gives a very thorough list of mistakes (in comparison to others who usually give more general feedback). It is especially useful to watch this if I'm unsure about my grammar level.

I found this video, while I was trying to improve my speaking test skills, which is on 2nd March, day after tomorrow. I like his attitude, saying very good makes the candidate very comfortable.
So, how did u do in your exam today?
Not bad, reading was bit tough. I didn't know answer should be transferred within 60 minutes.
He's an 8 or 8.5 score.. his English is fluent and correct with very, very few mistakes, his pronunciation is almost perfect and he has an excellent understanding of the all the questions

영상 잘 봤습니다. 응시자님께서 말씀 되게 잘 하셔서 왜 더 높은 점수가 아닌가 싶다가 나중에 설명 듣고 나서야 '아~ 그랬구나' 했어요. 저도 나쁘지 않게 시험 봤다고 생각했는데 생각보다 점수가 낮게 나와서 조금 당황한 기억이 있네요. 실제로 테스트 봤을 때는 말하는 스스로를 다시 볼 수가 없고 이런 디테일한 피드백이 없다보니 여기서부터 어떻게 공부하고 연습해야 더 잘 말하고, 또 더 높은 점수를 받을 수 있을지 막막하더라구요. 어쩌다 유튜브 알고리즘 덕에 이 영상을 보게 되었는데 기회가 된다면 mock test를 통해 한 번 도움을 받아보고 싶어요!😊

I would like him to receive band 7 because sometimes he take long time to think of sentences and need to improve his English fluency but his accent is good.
taking short pauses for ideas and sentences isnt bad. native speakers do it too. for an idea about lower band scores, watch those videos

I strongly believe that I definitely deserve at least 7.5 from my latest test on November 4th, but I could only get 7 which is obviously unfortunate. I took a test in Sweden. Do you think did the region actually influenced my result? I regret so bad that I should have taken my first exam in my home country, South Korea.

To be honest, this exam is far from the real one, I took IELTS twice, if the test taker performed like this in real test, his score would be 6 at most. His frequent hesitations definitely decresed the fluency and he also had sounds reduces repeatly.
Well he deserves 8.0 bands.
