I had a 78 CJ7 that I bought in 1980. I kept it for many years. I sold it a long time ago but I still kick myself every time I think about it. Excellent in the mountains and mudholes.
I have been trying to find out what brand and model the rims on this Jeep is. I want to buy a set for my 99 Chevy ZR2. I was under the impression that this style was no longer being made, but the rims in the video look brand new.
That’s how the wipers came from the factory on CJ7s and CJ5s in the 70s and 80s. Makes it hard to see the passenger side mirror, because you look through the windshield and wiper blade at the mirror.
That thing will never leave the pavement.

CJ7s are Jeeps at their best. I love my daily driver 1985 CJ7. They will take you anywhere you wanna go, except the freeway haha.
I had a friend in high school that had a 1986 Jeep CJ-6 with the straight 6. Top speed was 45 mph. Another great job Greg & J.D. Long!
