Newsweek: "Obama's standing above the country, above — above the world. He's sort of God"
Back in June of 2009, naturally on MSNBC, Thomas asserted: "In a way, Obama's standing above the country, above - above the world. He's sort of God. He's going to bring all different sides together."
"Reagan [at the 1984 D-Day commemoration] was all about America, and you talked about it. Obama is, 'We are above that now. We're not just parochial, we're not just chauvinistic, we're not just provincial. We stand for something.' I mean, in a way, Obama's standing above the country, above - above the world. He's sort of God. He's going to bring all different sides together."
- Newsweek's Evan Thomas to host Chris Matthews on MSNBC's Hardball, June 5.

Does Capitalism Still Exist - Fulton J. Sheen

The principles of capitalism and private property are clearly presented by Bishop Sheen. He then describes the opposite, namely communism, and how this economic system differs from capitalism and the modified capitalistic system the United States has. The "Life Is Worth Living" Series was a popular inspirational American television series. Hosted by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, the series consis...

One of the best values the Air Force ever got for it's dollar. A workhorse that started in the 1950's and still going strong. A Converted Boeing 707 (the same plane used for Air Force One by Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Carter, Reagan & Bush), the KC135 has seen action in every conflict the US has been involved in since the Korean War. While America slept, KC-135 Tankers were on alert 24...

19:19 However America has backed many regimes and dictatoriships that were pro US economic interests in South America, Africa and Asia. Its a kind of soft empire. This was a major reason why we fought in all those countries in the cold war and all those countries found communism attractive.
Thanks for posting. Brought back a lot of memories. Spent a lot of hours working on those. McConnell AFB, KS. 384th Air Refueling Squadron. mid 70's,
I had chance to visit the reagan library in 2018 i do recommend it.

A KC-135 was the first plane I worked on and the last plane I worked on during my 20-years career, with many maintenance and flight hours in between. A great airframe to have been associated with.

I turned blue in 2000. The greatest moment in my life short of my son's birth was my Father pinning my Blue cord on me. This brings back a flood of memories! Huaaa
Still best friend... God bless Stratotanker!
The Greatest memories and old is gold
The "A" models were the best looking in my view, with the slim J-57-59W turbojet slung beneath its wings.
Very NICE

I don't know how many times I heard "Aircraft", but if it was a drinking game, I'd have died of alcohol poisoning.

I was Fort Benning , O.C.S. 1967 Graduation 94th O.C.S. Company.
I had this documentary on VHS as a kid!! This actually brings back so many memories holy cow..
Actually, Boeing 707s were based off the original KC-135s, which was in turn based on Boein'g's "Dash-80" spec built prototype. 707s had slightly bigger diameter fuselage's, wings and tail feathers. And obviously different internal fuel tanking/system. Check out this link and written tribute to the venerable 135! Boeing's masterpiece.... www.linkedin.com/pulse/ode-aerial-workhouse-rodger-burkley
Thank you soaringtractor for setting the record straight. There have been so many incorrect descriptions of the history of the KC-135.
holy shit i am in this! awesome find.
same same
What is the name of the music that starts at 105
So damn proud to be an American. Long ago we showed the world what we are capable of. If anyone doesn't know it we are going back to the moon in a few years. Test flight scheduled for late 2017. Just a babyboomer kid in the 60's and 70's watching the Apollo launches and splashdowns- even then I had a tremendous sense of pride in my country. One night soon we will able to look at the moon and know Americans are there looking back at us.Always keep the faith!
my favorite movie of all time
