    I bought the Autumn Spirit in September last year and it was my first big purchase of a watch ever. I'm very much in love with how tough it looks and feels, especially when I go swimming with it! Victorinox is simply underrated, their INOX line-up is full of awesome tool watches.

      I agree, excellent watches, and although I'm not a huge fan of their bracelets lately... every other aspect of their watches are absolutely fantastic.

    I just bought the professional diver version and your review is the only one that gives a detailed description and explanation of the movement. I didn’t realize the movement is rebuildable. And it’s level of quality. The my diver professional feels VERY solid with alight degree of quality in its construction. I did contact Victorinox and their rep Dodd tell me the movement is built in Switzerland.

      By the way, this is one of the few companies to give a 5 year warranty to their watches!
      Only Rolex, Omega and other high-end Swiss companies give this kind of warranty! Enjoy it!

      Thank you!!! This watch wasn't even on my radar, and I'm blown away at how much I like it. It's so well put together. It's truly a watch you could buy for life and just wear in all situations! It also has a really top-shelf movement that's rebuild-able and serviceable!

    I'm a little worried about the box in which the watch comes, I've seen many videos in which they come like this. But victorinox would never use that kind of box...do you think is a fake watch?... by the way, pretty good video 👍🏼

    • @ToddsWatchshop
      @ToddsWatchshop  3 роки тому +3

      It’s actually perfectly normal. When you purchase a normal (non special edition or optioned) watch from say, Costco, Sams Club, etc., or you purchase from grey market (which likely came from Sams Club, etc.) then you get the smaller boxes. When you purchase from the Victorinox store in the mall, or from a luxury watch store, you get a much nicer box.
      Thank you for the positive comments!

    Order one and waiting for this piece :)
    Lug to lug 21 m... should I go for 20 or 22, if I want to replace to other rubberstrap?

    Great video congratulations! It would have been nice if you had a scale to weigh it, so we could know the exact weight. ( hefty)

      @ToddsWatchshop  2 роки тому +1

      I think I still have this watch, so I'll check and if so... I'll weigh it and post the amount here. I do post weights in almost all of my newer videos, but that was probably my second or third video, can't remember.

    I wonder which colorway is best: Blue, Green or Red? Also is the box quite small or are your hands just really MJ size?

    • @ToddsWatchshop
      @ToddsWatchshop  Рік тому +1

      Personally, I liked blue. My hands are very big. There are a few different versions of the box depending on the package you buy. There’s one with a compass, one with a matching pocket knife, etc. but for me… I think blue is the nicest.

    Excelente reloj! Muy buen video! Un gran descuento por un mínimo detalle. Felicitaciones!! Una pregunta. Me llama la atención que algunos vengan en cajas de cartón básicas. He tenido varios y sólo uno me llegó en la caja grande de lujo. Porque será? Muchas gracias! Saludos cordiales

    It’s a beautifully made watch with sapphire, but as I looked at the link at caliber corner the $16 price for a replacement movement kind of threw me

    • @ToddsWatchshop
      @ToddsWatchshop  3 роки тому +1

      Hi! I'm curious why the movement price bothers you? This is pretty common. For example, you can buy a brand new 2020 Mustang GT with the Coyote V8 for $36k, but you can buy the engine itself for $5,800. So this is pretty common.
      Quartz movements by themselves are not expensive. The $16 dollar version of the Rhonda movement of course is for the Swiss Parts version, not the Swiss Made. There isn't much difference really, but the Swiss Made one is assumed slightly higher accuracy due to the better quality assembly standards, and if I recall, it has more jewels to support it. Either way, I wouldn't be too bothered by it. You're paying for the package, rather than just a carrier for the movement.

    • @oakleyjack7600

      @@ToddsWatchshop I have never priced a movement or even needed one, so I was expecting it to be more costly. I bought a Bulova Accutron RR approved in 1976 from a vendor that came once a year and sold them thru the payroll deduction program. He would also replace battery’s and have repairs made and send them back to you if needed. Today I still have Accutron ii’s , 3 in fact but am no collector, I just like a good reliable watch that doesn’t lose 10-15 sec a day. I just came to your review because I really liked the design on the INOX

      Thank you for your description of the movement. I just bought the INOX Professional Diver and I contacted Victorinox and they told me the movement IS made in Switzerland and you cleared up my misgivings as to the rumors of Ronda movements, namely that they are “serviceable” which is very cool.

    Where did you buy it?

  • @jeffhall2795
    @jeffhall2795 3 роки тому

    Very nice watch and i bought one few weeks ago, the Autumn Spirit INOX version. I was wondering though, when looking at movement you show, at 8:54 mins., what is that "plastic mass" covering the movement at left (quartz case?) and for what purpose? There's not such thing on Ronda's site and i was also wondering if it this prevents movement to be serviced correctly or not?

    • @ToddsWatchshop
      @ToddsWatchshop  3 роки тому +1

      I noticed this as well, and was curious about it but could not find any other information about it. It looks like banana pudding, haha... but it's actually a silicone gel. The gel is completely covering the Quartz crystal tube. One of the problems that sometimes affects quartz watches are extreme temperature changes. The quartz will shrink and or expand depending on temperature, which directly affects the frequency of the quartz crystal. This causes the time to be inaccurate and in cold temperatures, a quartz watch can lose several minutes a day. My thought is that this was done to help insulate the quartz tube, and therefore make it more dependable in extreme weather. This watch is supposed to be a bit more rugged of a watch, so that's the best I could come up with.

    • @jeffhall2795
      @jeffhall2795 3 роки тому +1

      @@ToddsWatchshop Thank you for looking at that. From waht you know is it hard or soft and does it make servicing a problem or not?

    • @ToddsWatchshop
      @ToddsWatchshop  3 роки тому

      @@jeffhall2795 It was soft... like dry silicone, and it does not make servicing it an issue. Generally, although these are re-buildable movements, they are readily available and so you would likely just replace the movement if it went bad. But replacing a battery and such is not affected by it.

    • @jeffhall2795

      @@ToddsWatchshop Thank you very much for answer. Well, i was just wondering since it was meant and recommanded to service it, even not as often as a mechanical watch of course. As you can figure i plan to keep that watch for a long time!

    • @ToddsWatchshop
      @ToddsWatchshop  3 роки тому

      @@jeffhall2795 Yeah, the Rhonda movements are definitely serviceable... the jewels typically get oiled, but today it's best to use newer synthetic oils. Thanks for watching!
