I lived in Punta Gorda 2094 when we, my house, took a direct hit from Cat 4 hurricaine Charley…it was a tight storm not a huge one like both of these and we had no storm surge….but I’ll never forget it!
This is why if ppl have nothing nice to say they should really reconsider before posting/saying ugly comments. I hope everyone who wished ill against you and called you names for the decision you made comes back and apologizes ❤
Agreed!!! I have been getting really rude comments. I posted last video that I understood where she was coming from. And personally I would take a hurricane over a tornado. Some people made ur their mission to make me look stupid for agreeing with her reasons to stay. Glad things r going well and everyone is safe. Mark another one survived !!! Great job !!
So glad y’all are ok🙏me and my husband would have stayed too! I would have rather rode the storm out than go to a shelter or sit in traffic for hours and hours, not to mention where would we go..We have pets and would risk our lives to keep them safe. It is what it is, this is life. Thank you for updating us today, I’ve been praying for you since I heard your story. My husband had cellulitis back in Feb he almost died, he was septic etc and had wound care at drs offices and at home but he did have a wound vac ..people just don’t understand what this is like. God bless you and your healing🙏♥️♥️
Thank you so much for sharing your story! No they don't. I honestly wish I could have had a wound vac but because of the area amd size it wasn't an option with my case. The daily packing/unpacking has been/was brutal! Praise God though I am almost done with treatment.
So sorry for your situation. Yes, for some....it's easier to stay put, and just hope and pray for the best. I went to a local shelter for Hurricane Irma; my first hurricane, but it was at an assisted living facility where I was working at the time; a much stronger cinder block building. I would only evacuate if a storm was going to be a direct hit at landfall. Since I live alone, I wouldn't want to ride that out by myself.
We are in Osceola county in between Melbourne and Kissimmee. We lost power at 11:30 Wednesday night and we got power back about 3:00pm on Thursday. It was windy as all get out but we didn't have any flooding. Lots of branches came down from our grandfather oak in the front yard and the red maple in the backyard. Spent the entire day cleaning up the front and backyard. In our neighborhood everyone has at least a grandfather oak in the front yard and in the back so everyone was cleaning up yesterday starting at first light. There are piles of tree branches stacked in front of everyone's house. Most places opened back up today. It was nice and cool yesterday so it wasn't that bad cleaning up. I started up the generator at first light and powered up the fridge, small freezer and other small things, even micowaved something for lunch. Everything is all good in our area.
Thank you. I'm in the uk so there was some info that, delivered first hand, helped me understand the personal aspects better. I'll never understand why you all have to justify yourselves, this way, for those that aren't in the thick of it - but I benefitted from your no-nonsense delivery so. Win! I'm glad your health journey hasn't been interrupted and your home is whole. Sending my thoughts and prayers to you all, please pass them on and take care, stay warm. (Edit: such a british-weather sign off, giggle, it's sunny here too but it's 6 degrees c!)
I'm so glad you made it through the hurricane so well. I prayed for all those that didn't evacuate. I hope Parrish residents are alright. You made the right decision Becky.

I don’t live that far from you, the noise of the wind was wild and so loud. I didn’t get much sleep, slept in my cloths in case I had to run. So glad it’s over. I’m glad you are ok.
We did the same and all 3 of us had our heavy work boots near by. We keep getting alerts for the Withlacoochee river rising and today is is high. Going up into Stumpnockers ramp. Glad you guys are good and thank you for the support🥰
That's funny!!! When I'm home, I stay in my nightgown, which is like a "beach coverup." And, I sleep "au naturelle" 😂 so....where would you go, though, in the middle of the storm? I opened the door a few times, and I don't live far from Becky either; I'm in Citrus Springs. Anyway, I opened the door a few times when the wind seemed to die down a bit, but when I opened the door I could see it was still raining and whipping out there; I just shut it quickly, and told the cats "let's shut this door, it's nasty out there." 😂
@@Kokolamar Right? That was my point. Where you going to run to in the middle of a crazy storm??? A friend of mine and I got caught in an AWFUL thunderstorm outside at a nature park in Sarasota, FL some years ago. It came on "so suddenly"....pouring like crazy, wind whipping, and loud thunder over our heads; it was like a "mini hurricane." Really nuts. Anyway, we got SOAKED!!! Soaked, right down to our underwear. We were huddling under palm trees to take cover as best we could. It was SO AWFUL, and kind of scary. So no!!! I DO NOT GO OUT IN STORMS unless they "sneak up on me." 😅
I'm west of Daytona and barely dozed off for an hour all night, lost power here at 11pm before the worst passed us. I wish I was feeling peaceful and this isn't my first one, 18 yrs in. I prep regardless because its just not something you can do last minute. I love how unphased your dog looked. Thank you for sharing.
That is the key is being prepared for each one. No two hurricanes will ever be the same and being prepared for the what ifs makes a huge difference. Thank you for your support and I am glad to see/hear you are ok and yes he is beyond unfazed lol.
So glad you are safe & your home was not damaged. The thought of that bad weather is very unnerving to me. I live in a mobile home in KY and have a tornado shelter right outside my back door. Not much goof if it floods. Been hit by 3 tornadoes in last 3 yrs. With all of my animals, I understand how it could be almost impossible to leave. You are much braver than me.
Thankful you and yours are riding it out well! People who don’t have to worry about hurricanes don’t understand the complexity of ‘stay or go’… it’s more than that binary decision. Crap. Now I got that song in my head… should I stay, or should I go… 🎶 🎼 🎤
Glad to hear you are safe 🙏🏿 my family in Tampa are safe too. Some damages to sime if thier homes most w/o power. My Brother in Riverview had a close call, as it made landfall, one of hes windows broke. He came seconds grom getting hit with all that sharp glass. Thank God he didn't and hes ok. Hes also w/o power. For all those safr God bless you all
It shifting south at the last bit made such a huge difference esp for Tampa! Glad to hear your family is ok as well. Praying the power is back up quickly!
Isn't it great that there are so many prayers and focuses on Milton not hitting Florida in full force? I hope many people have understood that we as humans have so much influence with our consciousness. Stand together people, don't let yourselves be divided and then we will create a better, safer world, no matter what part of the world we live in. It's nice to see you healthy and unharmed. Greetings from the south of Hungary.
Thank u for explaining to people who think is too easy leave . I’m hotel worker and if we all stay on hotel rooms during hurricane 🌀 it will be none for another’s coming from different areas . You know what we should do that one time so people can’t say “ why don’t you stay “ …. If you don’t live in Florida I don’t expect you to understand
Becky, you are a bright light! The sounds are relaxing, I am so grateful that you're okay! Yes, I could not believe the tornados, it was not something I thought about! Thank God that you're appointments are at home. And I believe yesterday you said your truck is full. Please take it easy and thanx so much for your updates!
Thank you so much that was such an encouraging comment! Yes we have about half a tank in our Excursion and full tank in our truck plus 10 extra gallons in cans so we should be good until gas finally gets into our area.
I am glad you survived. Your last video, sadly, just stated facts that many who are not in that situation tend to blow off and fail to understand that not every one can leave. It is so easy to critise others from afar! 🤬. Wishing you the best!
Went thru 1 hurricane when I was a kid, in southern FL. We hunkered down at my grandparents house in Hollywood, because they were more prepared. Everything outside brought in/removed/tied down, windows all covered with plywood & taped, stocked up on food & water, etc. Nevertheless, when that wind started howling around us like a banshee, & the rafters started shakin, I thought I was going to die, & the roof would surely blow off the house! Scariest experience of my life. They tried to make it fun for us kids, like a sleepover, gave us all flashlights and snacks, we made a blanket tent in my uncles room, played games etc, but at some point even us kids realized how serious it was. Not too much flooding, but 1 tree was uprooted & blown across the street. Idk what Cat it was. Clearly not as strong as those happening lately. Lived there 10 years, but only saw 1 hurricane during that time. That was about the mid 1960's. Back then, FL didnt have several hurricanes a year, like they do now. Moved away years ago, & am very glad I did. Couldnt stand to go thru that on a regular basis, once in a lifetime is quite enough, thank you - scary stuff!
So happy you and family came through safe and sound. Thank you for sharing with all of us. Prayers will continue for all affected by storms, fire and the alike. Also 🙏 you are healed completely. 🙏🕊️🫶🏼🥰
Glad you came through unscathed! We did as well- only had to repair a segment of pasture fence. And now onto helping those who were less fortunate. Thank you Governor DeSantis and everyone who are coming together to help
Sadly luck doesn't have anything to do with it. When it shifted south that is what caused the north said to get the intense rain, water sucked out from the gulf and tampa, and wind. The cones just show where the eye could land and we never know where it will be until much cliser to landfall.
Can’t tell you how relieved our family is that your both safe really made our day !! You’ll remain in our prayers, sending lots of love and hugs , please ignore that hateful comments there’s more good then bad .. ps glad doggy’s doing well xo ❤
Thank you so much for your sweet and thoughtful comment it really made my day! Yes all 3 pups are good. Mr Bojangles is just as lazy today and our sons two dogs Zeus and Archibald are still both little criminals🤣
I live way up north. Some people get nuts when we have a big snow storm predicted! If you don't have milk, bread, eggs, and TP at least 3-4 days before you won't get any! I always have loaf or two in freezer, usually a frozen 1/2 gal of milk, eggs in fridge, and pack of TP we don't touch until spring🤣 I prep for winter storms like y'all prep for hurricanes! Glad you are safe and as you said "been through it before, we know what we are doing"😊👍
Yes I grew up dealing with snow storms I love them actually I felt last year was a let down ☹️😁 but summer storms for me personally for forget about it !!! Nope 🙂↔️ I hear a distant rumble of thunder and I grab the canned food & kids and head for basement 🤣🤣🤣 I am ridiculous and been picked on forever about it lol not sure exactly why but I’ve always been very afraid of summer storms … I’ll take a cozy snowed in day or two any time 😊
@geralynbreault4643 me too! My husband however loves thunderstorms! I sit inside curled up on couch, he sits out on the porch with his coffee and watches them!
The only downside to successfully riding out a hurricane is that it lulls you into doing it over and over again until it isn’t successful. It’s like continuing sitting at a black Jack table, eventually you double down and lose it all!
Zoe, draahpsquad3592 and Samuel you 3 are spot on! @militantnormal428 we aren't lulled we are just intelligent and actually listen to our local and State officials who actually know what is going on and how hurricanes work.
✨🥰✨I’m so glad you’re safe & thank you for explaining the evacuation process in your previous video. I live on the west coast so had no idea how it worked but I’ve been praying for those that were stuck in traffic. Blessings to you in general & on your healing journey.✨🥰✨
I am so glad I ran across your video other day. I actually shared it on my Facebook for others who may have been confused or scared as to why you stayed. It helped to ease my mind and not be so fearful for my friends. I think more people need to listen to your video and take notice as to why traffic was so fucked up and why the folks who moved down there recently that panicked, need to listen!! Dummies will always be dummies and are just starved for attention lmao!!! So how many of these people wish they stayed instead of running out of gas and dealing with the b.s. on the roads 😂 I still say weather manipulation is a thing. Appalachian have lithium, and you guys got Trump and many supporters.❤❤❤
I'm so very relieved to hear that you didn't suffer any serious property damage. I always believed that you were physically safe. If that weren't the case, you would have been told to evacuate.
Our friends in Naples stayed. You do not need to be in that nasty water. I am from Texas and its dangerous, but we knew that Tornados always head northeast. I think you always take a chance. Some died there. The tornados were rough. I have to say I would never live there. I do like where I live now in the OZARKS. I need motivation to get outside. YEAH you do not need any more bacteria at all. When you tell people you're staying it probably scares them.
We’re still without power and this is Friday night at 10:30 pm. We’re prepared and are doing fine. Cleaned the yard all day then took a very cold shower! Hopefully we will get power by tomorrow. Love and hugs everyone. 🦋💗🙏
Glad you are ok. Hope you can get to your wound center today, tomorrow. You were really between a rock and a hard place @ your medical care. I was worried about you and dirty water near your leg. Thank goodness, you are ok. Heal on!! PS- you are so right about being exhausted after " an event." It usually takes a week or so to recover.
See instincts are the ones to listen to. I reckon the moving her and family and animals probably would of made this lady more unwell!! She knew what to do, and she was right. And good on her to stick to what she felt was right. And if she was hit that would of been her responsibility. But do you think being nasty and abusive would be something she needed. You know who you are sitting behind a screen being bullys. Id hate to be you as a person. People will do what they feel is right for them. You do you and let people do them. And good on you Becky you done what was right for you and you was right. who got the last laugh and infact you got through 2 hurricanes in 2 weeks and still here alive. You let them people be them. Im so happy for you and laughing at them people. Always instints and knolage. ❤
I’m an Orlando native and rode it out just me and my meow. It was so calm through the eye and then the winds changed direction. The tornados were the worst part. All I can say is God is good. We were protected. Prayers for good health and safety to all.
Oh my goodnes the eye of a hurricane is just plain eerie! Our very first hurricane here many years ago we had no idea that the eye was flat out calm and still. My husband went outside during the eye to try and fix the satellite dish and my Father in Law came running outside to grab us. Won't lie was both hysterical and terrifying at the same time! We were definitely newbies then and had no idea how hurricanes worked. Glad you and your meow are both safe🥰
@@Adventureswithbecky Yes, the eye is very deceiving! I was chatting with a Hurricane FB group during the eye and warning all to stay put…Milton wasn’t done with us yet! We still had to deal with his ugly backside and he left just as angry as he arrived. We prayed for each other and all of us chatting late that night are safe and sound. Thankful you are as well. ❤️🙏
I truly appreciate your opinions about leaving. Your young compared to me. Mom died in August. Left me a small home. Can't get insurance, ya know built 1923, wood cabin, and in CA. foothills CA i figure 70 next week, shit I'll ride out 4 fires around me. But please take my animals.
Insurance now is a joke! I am so sorry you lost your Mom we know how hard that is. Just lost my mother in law in June and it still feels like it just happened. I did a video a few back about the insurance scam they are getting away with now in multiple states. Many have no idea what is happening. If you want to check that one out it is titled someone needs to say it. Much love from FL and I am glad those fires didn't get your home.
I know that is my favorite! That tree and our palm out front are the only two left. We had 6 other beauties that had to be removed a few years back due to a very rotten wood pecker who destroyed every single one of them😊
I've seen "gusts" up here; I don't live far from Becky, that strong. I can handle the "gusts" because they aren't steady, but that, and higher "sustained winds" would be AWFUL. I was in Hurricane Ian, located in Sarasota; although it was close, I was far enough away from landfall to "lighten the winds" a bit. I think the storm surge was worse in that hurricane. They are NEVER FUN....and it's like playing "Russian Roulette" when they come.....who's going to get hit. I pray I never have a direct hit. At least they don't come ALL the time.
I don’t know you but I am happy you are good. These storms are unprecedented and definitely not normal plus Hurricane Nadine is on its way in a couple days. Be as safe as you can be please . ❤
Still watching that area. Two models show possible development two show nothing. Will be another week or so before they can really see what it will do. Praying it doesn't turn into anything!
Glad you survived. Many prayers for all of Florida!

Thank You Jesus❤ said a prayer for you
Glad you came through unscathed!
We did as well- only had to repair a segment of pasture fence.
And now onto helping those who were less fortunate.
Thank you Governor DeSantis and everyone who are coming together to help
Happy to hear that and yes agreed!
I was praying for you & your family. I'm so happy yous are safe .
Thank you so much!
You were one of the lucky ones, a lot of others weren’t so lucky
Sadly luck doesn't have anything to do with it. When it shifted south that is what caused the north said to get the intense rain, water sucked out from the gulf and tampa, and wind. The cones just show where the eye could land and we never know where it will be until much cliser to landfall.
Wow you are getting tons of views, thats awesome. Glad you're ok.
Thank you
So glad you are safe!
Hooray Becky! 🎉❤ You made it! 😊
Thank you🥰
Glad you made it through the storm safely! 😊
Thank you
Can’t tell you how relieved our family is that your both safe really made our day !!
You made out great. So happy for you.
Thank you for letting us know youre OK Becky. Been following from UK. Lotsa love. xx
Thank you so much
I’m so glad you are okay! May God bless you and your family now and always🙏❤️
Exactly! Thank you so much for your support.
Yes I grew up dealing with snow storms I love them actually I felt last year was a let down ☹️😁 but summer storms for me personally for forget about it !!! Nope 🙂↔️ I hear a distant rumble of thunder and I grab the canned food & kids and head for basement 🤣🤣🤣 I am ridiculous and been picked on forever about it lol not sure exactly why but I’ve always been very afraid of summer storms … I’ll take a cozy snowed in day or two any time 😊
They can be unnerving for many people! I am opposite I love them.
Exactly! From Louisiana always prepare for the worst, pray for the best 🤷🏼♀️
@geralynbreault4643 me too! My husband however loves thunderstorms! I sit inside curled up on couch, he sits out on the porch with his coffee and watches them!
Great to see you safe and well. Another prayer answered. ❤ from 🇮🇪
🥰🥰🥰🥰
Well done you getting thru it. You are braver than me.
I'm glad you and your family are ok.
The only downside to successfully riding out a hurricane is that it lulls you into doing it over and over again until it isn’t successful. It’s like continuing sitting at a black Jack table, eventually you double down and lose it all!
Away from me satan
There are weak people in the world...Floridians are not 😊
yawn shut up and apologize .You just upset she survived just fine .Y'all internet warriors hate being wrong .clowns
Thank you so much!
Praise God you are safe. Prayers for those who lost everything
It is so hard to watch esp right after Helene. Siesta Key has taken such a huge hit. The tornadoes were horrible with so many dpassing.
@@Adventureswithbecky that's horrible news. I'm praying hard for all of them 🙏 I am hoping and praying that you have no loss of friends or family
Praise God you’re okay. ❤
@@horse_chick 🥰🥰🥰🥰
So thankful to God you and your family are okay ❤️
Thrilled to know y’all are safe and sound and no worse for wear Becky!! ❤️🙏
Us too!
So glad you had an easy ride
Damm just having power is awesome
@@alhavana9426 no joke!
Thank you for sharing
I'm glad you're ok. I was really praying for you and the people of Florida.
Glad your safe!
I'm so very relieved to hear that you didn't suffer any serious property damage. I always believed that you were physically safe. If that weren't the case, you would have been told to evacuate.
Yes absolutely!
Happy to see you safe. ❤😊
So happy you and your family are safe. Many blessing to your community.
Thank you
So glad you are ok. Do your best to ignore mean people. Certainly don’t respond to them. God bless.
Thank you, I will
We’re still without power and this is Friday night at 10:30 pm. We’re prepared and are doing fine. Cleaned the yard all day then took a very cold shower! Hopefully we will get power by tomorrow. Love and hugs everyone. 🦋💗🙏
Jill I hope your power gets restored soon! Thankful to hear you are safe!
@@Adventureswithbecky we just got power about two minutes ago. 9:30 Saturday morning! Yippee 🦋💗🙏
@@jillcarlson2076 woohoo!
You need your own cable channel. You are FANTASTIC. Glad you are safe. I'm in OR...so good for a bit.
Lol thanks what a cool comment😊
I’m so happy you’re safe 😊
I’m glad you’re okay!🙏🏽
Glad you are ok. Hope you can get to your wound center today, tomorrow.
You were really between a rock and a hard place @ your medical care.
I was worried about you and dirty water near your leg.
Thank goodness, you are ok.
Heal on!!
PS- you are so right about being exhausted after " an event." It usually takes a week or so to recover.
@@loismiller7742 this one just wrecked up. We slept a lot today and still feel wiped out!
So glad to see that you’re safe and doing well I subbed to your channel to keep up with your progress
Thank you so much🥰
See instincts are the ones to listen to. ❤
Thank you so much🥰🥰🥰🥰
So glad you all are all safe and blessings and prayers for your continued healing. Love your spiritual glow, discernment is a wonderful blessing.
Thank you so much!
God bless y'all sassy
Glad things were mild for you, & praying all you & your family ok. Great to see you ok.
From NH
God Bless You Take Care, I am soo glad you are OK.
I'd be tempted to leave things where they are, too, until I knew about the next storm...I'm glad you made it though the storm with no real damage...
@@susieq5270 thank you and I am seriously thinking about it lol. It is exhausting preparing every time during a busy hurricane season!
Glad you’re okay
I am glad you are safe 🙏
rayed for you'll last night and again today! Thank the Lord it wasn't worse than it was, and you'll are safe!
🥰🥰🥰
Becky, I saw your video yesterday and I focused my thoughts on you and knew you would be well.
Thank you🥰
I pray that you will be safe. That is a beautiful.
Tree in your yard.I hope you don't lose it. Keep us updated after the storm. God bless you ❤🙏
I know that is my favorite! That tree and our palm out front are the only two left. We had 6 other beauties that had to be removed a few years back due to a very rotten wood pecker who destroyed every single one of them😊
Wow! hats off to yall and prayers up. Because here in Michigan when the wind picks up to 75 I be freaking tf out and the cat too!
Hello Becky 👋 glad you're good praying for your wound to be healed in Jesus name praying you stay safe
Thank you so much!
Cool lady , lovely dog , hate the ppl who attack her, I live in Oklahoma, tornado ally
Thank you that really made my day!
Very happy you are safe. Ignore the hateful trolls
Im in Homosassa and we did ok power came on a few hours ago I thank God we’re all good. Praying for all those affected. ❤
Same! I know Homosassa already had much damage from Helene!
