I love discussing Allah. I love to share what has been revealed to me and I also love to hear about what Allah has revealed to others in the religion. I don't mind people wanting to help me improve in my worship, but I don't like disbelievers and I pray about it all the time because sometimes I can't help myself. I think we should keep these discussions going because I always say I don't know everything and I don't mind hearing the truth. I just know of what Allah has revealed to me. May peace be upon you.

I see people commenting about how the talk is “boring”. We as muslims have come to believe that religion is supposed to entertaining and thrilling. It’s not. There are going to be technical parts of it that are going to demand more of your concentration than the other topics. We as muslims don’t follow religion or learn about it because it’s “fun”, we do it because it’s an obligation upon us. We do it because Allah expects us to. We do it to understand the Hikmah(wisdom) behind His revelations- even if we can never fully comprehend it in this dunya. When you’re learning about Islam, do not do it ONLY out of motivation- although that’s an important factor- do it for the sake of gaining that closeness and intimate relationship with our Lord.

Engaging speech doesn't hurt. May Allah make us more attentive.

Hajara I understand where you’re coming from. But topics like these really don’t fit our definition of fun. In all honesty, Dr.Hatem spoke so eloquently that I’d be lying if I told you I was bored. On the contrary, this is as engaging as it gets and I thoroughly enjoyed it the whole time. Discussions around discourses and fiqh really are about technicalities rather than entertainment. Yes, it definitely helps if it’s engaging- but this is as engaging as it gets lol. This really is the upperlimit. Read books around discourses and fiqh and you’ll get what I’m trying to say inshallah. Dr.Hatem did his best, mashallah.

      "fun and entertaining"
I've never seen Muslims holding this view.
Islam isn't Christianity or Hinduism, Islam is about Truth not aesthetics.
