Oh Stacy I love this video, I could watch him all day, his humour is unreal, and the way he interacts with his fans I just love so much, probably because he was never able to do that in the 70's. Thank you for this! It's hysterical! David and the cast were so good with comedy! You can't cast like this for chemistry. It was pure magic. (AND they sang GREAT songs, too!) We were so lucky growing up in the 60/70s.

I don’t know for sure, if I had to guess, I would say he was on the road so much his entire career he probably didn’t have time. I do know he loved gardening. It was probably a way to de-stress. He is hysterical in that episode with the sifter.
It seemed like his schedule was just as full traveling all over for concerts in the 2000’s. From what it sounds like, he and his wife lived separate lives for years before they finally divorced. He was such a workaholic among all the other issues he had. It’s hard to say that he ever had time to just relax. Complicated life he had.
David had the cutest laugh! Just hope he’s smiling in heaven..
