Thanks bro! Just changed the bulb on my 2002 Elantra GLS. Had my 5yr old son w/ me holding my iPhone playing your video while I changed the bulb. Removing the tail light from the car wasn't as easy as you made it look, probably because you're a pro and I'm an amateur, but your video made it operation success. My son thinks I'm a freaking superhero now! Great job and thanks again!!! Great work. Keep it up!!!
Your video was really helpful. I couldn't get the darn bulb out and thanks to you I saw what I was doing wrong. Went back outside and popped it right out! All fixed. Thank you!
Thank you so much. That showed me perfectly what I need to do. You didn't drivel on and your camera work was excellent. Well done. Much better than one I just looked at before yours. I've always worked on cars but find the newer models make home maintenance a lot harder. As a previous commenter wrote, I too was assuming it could just be changed from inside the boot.
thank you very much. this was very helpful and easy to follow. I'm learning how to fix things on my car in honour of my dad who always wanted to get me in the garage to teach me these things when I was little. Sadly, he passed before I was old enough to appreciate his vast knowledge and skill, and I missed out on the quality time. last month I replaced the rebar and front bumper cover on my 08 elantra. next I want to learn how to replace the horn (which was damaged along with the fan... trailer hitch through the grill on the highest). could you post about replacing a horn? also need new rear brake pads I think.....
Haha thank you very much for your comment, glad you got it done. I sometimes make the videos easier than they look in general. It helps encourage people to do the work!
I should have looked up ur video first. I took my car in for a oil change and had a break light out apparently. They charged me $33 for labor on just the light bulb and $3.49 for the light bulb. I didn’t know that until I got the receipt. I feel like if I was a man they would have given me a heads up on the labor. I am very handy and would have done it myself. Thank u for saving me future $$
Replacing the brake light in my 2003 Hyundai Accent today. I'm short on money so the 15$ the shop wanted to charge me was too much of a convenience fee for me to pay for... got a bulb for much cheaper, and literally came here just to check whether I twist out or pull out the bulb. Thanks for the clear illustration!
I didnt have any problems with the exhaust manifold on this car, are you having an exhaust leak? you might need a exhaust manifold gasket, or the flange gasket where the exhaust manifold connects to the pipe. Tx for watching!
Awesome video. I was about to give up once I got past the first cover. I was foolishly assuming there would be easy access from the trunk. Thank you for the video.
Thanks for posting this. I had my reverse light go out and though I could not see it from the video i am assuming it is a like socket at the lower part of the tail light assembly. Very well done.
Thanks for your help a lot. I have problem. there seems to be a black rubber plastic sticking out where the screws are located. it seems that it is the last thing holding on to the light and the car's body. how should i remove it?it looks like a cover for screws, however it cant take it out and dont know what is behind it. i have already took out three screws. is this another one? should i cut the rubber ad see whats underr it holding the light case?
Just buy a basic tool set from harbor freight or walmart with screwdrivers and metric sockets and you will be fine. I think they were 8mm nuts for this car but not a 100%. GL
Thanks big time. If anybody was like me and didn't get it the first two times go back into your trunk and look for those plastic White saying that you have people out because that is where the bulb
Great video, but, my goodness, what a pain in the neck! (I'm often astounded at how car manufacturers can't seem to design a simpler way to replace a bulb. I got as far as getting that first cover off, and then wondered what to do next. Thanks for showing me!)
Sorry I am not sure how to tell you without seeing it, but take your time and look around the piece to see if there are other screws or clips holding it in. You should not have to cut anything to get to the light bulbs. gl
Here is one that makes no sense. My 2005 Ford right headlight is out, but my right tail light bulb is blinking, BUT tail light bulb is NEW just put it in. Any comments?

11 years later but this video just helped me change my brake light! Thx!
Thank you! Made changing my brake light super easy! Confused it with the blinker light socket initially so now they’ve both been replaced. 🤣

NP, glad it was helpful. Cheers!
That cap never twists I swear
Thank you so much. Not all have that second cover and your video is first one I found that addressed that.
Amazed at how simple you made that look.
thank you!! super good video!! watching from 2023 😤
I didnt have any problems with the exhaust manifold on this car, are you having an exhaust leak? you might need a exhaust manifold gasket, or the flange gasket where the exhaust manifold connects to the pipe. Tx for watching!

Thanks for posting this. I had my reverse light go out and though I could not see it from the video i am assuming it is a like socket at the lower part of the tail light assembly. Very well done.
Very good video. You did a good job showing how to replace the brake bulb. Now I don't have to have the shop show me or have them do it. Thank You
Just wanted to know how to get the bulbs out for my Sienna. Thanks for the push and twist tip. I guess it's the same strategy for most vehicles
Good job. Excellent. Thanks. Is the ISUZU 1989 tROOPER SAME PROCEDURE?
Thanks for the great guide, just about to change the bulb on my Hyundai Coupe and now I know how!
Glad you like the video, thanks for commenting.

Saved me 80 bucks. Thank you
Like the way you explain. Thank you!

J.R. Yes some manufacturers design the rear around the light bulbs :) thanks for watching.
Thank you. I was having trouble figuring out how to change it

Do you need to pull the battery for this job?
Going to try this tomorrow on a ‘13 Sonata
What is the tool you used to take out the nut ?
Thanks a lot for the video. Extremely helpful!
what tools did you use? Which size for the nuts? I want to do this job myself but I have zero experience dude.
Thank you. I needed a refresher.
Thomas Crimmel np, thanks for watching.
That actually work thank you bill
Question . I replaced the bulb and new one works but when I but back both covers and screws it's not lighting up. Any idea?
Dnt forget to use gloves when you change a bulb,it helps to your bulbs to last longer.
Yes this helped!!!!! Thank you so much!!!
What the name of the tool you used to remove those bolts? Good tutorial by the way
Alex ratchet wrench
Thanks for the help!
And the parts store closed right now do u think walmart sells it

Thank you. i wanted to do it myself with your help I can kinda
thanx for this video 😊

Nice my 2002 elentra light just went out hopefully its the same!!
Thanks. been a while
have honda accord 1991 lx and the 3 light dont work need help let me know thanks
Very helpful! Thank you...
awesome video, I'm a wife of a lazy ass husband so I did it myself. took me less than 30 minutes :)
Hey do you know the size to the bulb
helped me finish mine thanks alot
Thanks, life saver...
I dont think you're supposed to touch the bulb with your hands. The oils from our skin can make halogen bulbs burn out faster.
please anyone know how to replace brake light bulb for Hyundai Elentra GT 2013.
Here is one that makes no sense.
My 2005 Ford right headlight is out, but my right tail light bulb is blinking, BUT tail light bulb is NEW just put it in. Any comments?
Thank youuu
It took a lot of fumbling to fit the assembly back in place. Thats why he cut the video short lol
Thanks!
Thanks!!
I have to go under my tire to get to the tail light.
Very good but did not fix problem
I would've blanked out my license plate ... Idk ..
you're a sweet fella
Thats weird.
That car has a lot of screws just to change a simple brake light😓
No gloves? .... looks like you'll be changing that bulb again soon
What do you mean?
oh and new input output sensors and transmission fluids. lol. maybe I need a new car
Key West, that's so boring can't you think of something better to say than the muffler whatever it was. love you Danny
Don't touch the bulb with your hands wear gloves 🧤
np thanks for watching.
