Everyone says D4 has the best visuals. Maybe, but everything is brown, the game literally only has 2 colors, brown and grey. The visuals here look so much better.
They will be different so it's not exactly poe1 killer but part of community definetly will like poe2 more for several reasons. Some will not like it and will stay in poe1. Some will play both since they enjoy experience in both

So far all the stuff they've shown and said about combat in PoE 2 points at a much slower gameplay, like the dodges, way different animations (often long and rather complex for PoE), the way boss fights are designed etc. May be a bit of copium here though, we'll see. At the beginning of its birth, it was a Diablo-like game, but now it has surpassed Diablo-like game! Of course, all Diablo-like games today owe much to the ✌support✌ of Diablo 4. However, the LOGO is displayed for 24 seconds in the 39-second animation, so I still have to criticize it!
Sketchy. PoE Ruthless is currently the best we have in arpg. It is the most balanced. Just to be clear, I played PoE in 2021 after enemy ai improvement. Even bought starter bundle. But exiled it off of my PC after a few weeks. There was so much that was great about the design and the crafting and the math and most gameplay. But after a few acts in, it was just pointless. I didn't even bother beating it. Even from early on, it felt extremely watered down. It has Standard which was basically easy mode. And Hardcore = easy mode with one life. Way too much loot rain. And exp just superfluous. When a real balanced progression system has a consistent exp deficit. The game was just not properly balanced. Afer Ruthless, it's actually worth playing this have. More like an actual real game. There's no reason to even call it "ruthless" considering it is more of actually standard proper design. RPG doesn't necessarily have to have scarce loot. But scarcity is an absolute must for a dark fantasy. Where even the start of the game it's a story of depravity for these exiles. So if it is Standard, then why is it called Ruthless? It should be called Standard. And Standard should be called easy mode. Early footage of Diablo 4 attracted me because of showing actual tactical combat. Not just tazmania all over the place so enemies disintegrate. I still have not played D4 because it seems o be very watered down. Well PoE 2 footage is not looking great. OK they're talking about improved tactics for real action based combat. But I'm still seeing mostly the same mindless BS that users like to call power fantasy although the correct term is mindless inanity. Just put on a blindfold, click anything, and everything dies. I'm not saying a game can't be like that. Anything can be an enjoyable. Just not a dark fantasy which was the primary intent of Diablo 1. I enjoy PoE Ruthless. And think this is the best developer with potential to save arpg. Including actual advancements in tactical fast and slow paced action combat scenarios. And actual exp defecit and loot scarcity for meaningful level progression. But so far it's not too great.
Please have day/night cycle like D2. I know it sounds silly.. But it feels more immersive! Something about looking outside and it's day and it's day in game and at night it's night in game. No other ARPG seemed to have had what D2 had.. Then my life would be complete.

@@nobleape9281 here is what we know - 1. during 3.15 chris wilson said the developers "realized that hard-mode was better than the base game". this was during the early phases of poe2 development. 2. at exilecon the poe2 demo looked very slow and dangerous. even fights with small white packs were giving players trouble. 3. octavian who set up the demo said he had been told to "make it as difficult as possible". which indicates that ggg believes that difficult gameplay is more entertaining. 4. when subtractem was interviewing the ggg devs after the exilecon demo, he asked them if poe2 will be as fast as poe1. after a long pause mark replied "dont you want to be able to see what killed you?"

I'd like it to be truth... but You know that no one reached the endgame of PoE2 yet... there many crazy broken builds that explode the entire screen will appear to the public everyone will copy and paste so that's the fun of gaming nowadays... watch streamers playing for you... follow guides so succeed... the only way to play the META!... the only part of these games the majority of people play is the GRIND!
Considering they said "crossbows are different from bows because they shoot instantly" in the mercenary trailer, I think we can assume we always need to draw our bow first before shooting.
@@TR3SP4SSER yep, it's an additional control scheme they're adding -- it's not required at all but they decided they wanted to add it when developing the crossbow to lean in hard on the shooter fantasy. It's just an option in settings you can enable or disable based on your personal preference moment to moment

Melee is going to be fine in PoE2, as is every other archetype. Calm down.

GGG has literally never done melee combat good, ever. There is no track record there or reason to believe they suddenly know what they're doing there. Them showing only ranged stuff and "ranged melee" in every PoE2 showcase inspires zero confidence either. If they had good sword and board melee, surely they'd have shown it.
The voice seems interactive and if it is, it will makes the game more immersive and help your character feel more alive. I hope the game is filled with them!
I main a Rogue in all the ARPG's I play mainly for the mobility and map traversal speed (I find it so hard to play other classes that stand still and pop off skills or can't move fast). Gameplay in POE 2 (from everything I've seen so far) just looks SO super slow. Who realistically crawls at that pace through a map?! Still super keen for POE 2 though. I'm sure there will be mobility options and graphics are looking great! Love the dark and sombre vibe a lot!

This forest environment looks beautiful. Visuals are crazy, such a huge upgrade from PoE.
It's actually the same forest as in the Affliction league. Same rendering and all the other graphical improvements coming in POE 2.
