Build a Log Bird House

My apologies on the color temperature changes but the clouds kept covering the sun and this is a quick build anyway. I used a chainsaw to hollow out the log but you could use a number of drill bits to do the same or cut the outside away, remove the center and glue the outside back together. I was cutting some wood anyway so I went with that method. There is no right way to build this project so be as creative as possible. This project is just awesome and you make woodworking look so easy! How long do you think it took from concept to finish? Came out so well and captures wilderness whimsy perfectly. Your smile at the end says it all!

Thank you for the kind comments Meredith (one of my original subs.) I just wanted something for the smaller birds to go to since all the larger ones are hogging the tree the feeder hangs from most of the time.
