the amount of guitar on this album fulfills any demands I could make about shred, the music industry itself, or heavy metal as it's wholesome, yet revolutionary sounds establish the genre in raw terms that would please fans, including those whom found themselves, perhaps on the fence about David Coverdale having what it takes to bring some true rock n roll to the table. Collaborating with vai is really what validates the band for me
I have fact-checked this claim, and here's what I found: Not only did Steve Vai _not_ play bass on this song, he didn't play bass on _any_ of the songs on this album. Indeed, Steve Vai has _never_ played bass in any band he's ever been a part of -- in fact I don't think he's ever picked up a bass guitar in his entire life. If you want to point me to a source that verifies your claim, I will be happy to check it out; but until then: I gotta call bullshit on this.
@@SaintD382 Vai himself said in interviews back when the album came out that he had to re-record some bass tracks to fit his solos. Source: most likely guitar player magazine or Metal Edge And if you don't think he doesn't play bass on his solo albums, you're fact checking skills need honing
@@SaintD382 the fact that you "fact checked" a comment from FIVE YEARS AGO tells us 1. you have too much time on your hands 2. you have an incessant need to be right
I'm not sure how the age of a comment means it shouldn't be fact-checked -- or why having enough time to fact-check stuff is a bad thing -- but if you're saying the only source for your claim is a print magazine article from 33 years ago (in other words the information somehow never made it onto the Internet), then I guess we'll just have to take your word for it, Total Singing Dojo.
@@SaintD382 So what do you think - I just made it up? I read it in an interview back during that time. Music is what I do for a living and Vai changing bass lines to put his solo stuck out to me as kind of insensitive overly controlling. Just because you can't find the source doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Here's a thought - Vai has a Twitter and Instagram account. What not simply ask HIM?
Madre mía!!!, TEMAZOOOO bueno, bueno!!!! WoW...
Great song !Still after all these years

check my cover and my tappin lick thanx
This is by far the worst Whitesnake album.
By far the best Whitesnake album ever. Vai made this a shredder show. Makes all the tunes interesting and digestible, I always skip the slow songs 🎵.
One of the tracks Vai plays bass on - he erased Rudy Sarzo track and recorded his own to fit the solo section.
