How to remove the troublesome EGR on a Audi A1 1.6 for cleaning.

Don’t suppose you could add the torque settings for each bolt could you. I Carnt find these anywhere. Or is tightening like a car wheel nut okay. Once nipped up give it a little more. If makes sense thanks great tutorial

Coil spring warning light on dash- car goes into limp mode- which means you keep pressing gas pedal but car goes nowhere, quick remedy- while driving- quickly turn off and turn on ignition( yes i done it on motorway doing 70mph) and then light will go off, just make sure you do not take key out because you gonna lock steering wheel and have accident. Get yourself obd scanning tool and if you get any lights on dash- scan your car and then you know what is wrong

Hi, innside the egr valve, its a plate that should move by an motor, can you normaly move this plate? My car will not start, when i disassembled the pipe shown in the video, it starts straigth up.

I would say it's totally clogged up. Take it off all together and clean it

Great Vid D,I have the same engine turbo has a lot of heavy white smoke coming out,i took that metal pipe off and it was completly blocked with hard sut,in process of cleaning everything,would this be the reason turbo is smoking?

If the pipe was clogged, then the valve will be worse.

The egr is the root of the cause.. that pipe is just the last part of the egr which is the return exhaust gas to the engine

Which ones? Both ends where pipe is connected- use t30 bit

Aerosol oven cleaner works really well on the carbon but you need to do it a few times if it is thick.

I used egr diesel cleaner from eurocarparts but looks like it needs more spraying than just little 250ml can, i just done it myself( without removing egr valve)
