My husband and I began using love & logic with our children a year ago. It took only 30 days for our family to adapt to these wonderful parenting tactics. To be honest it even works when I use it on my husband and other adults haha..its true though..and did I mention we have 6 children? Our oldest is 16 and youngest is 6..four of my kids are boys and their very strong willed and stubborn..I use "I know" and "bummer" with them so much that they hate it, but it works! Playing brain dead is just the best ever :) I'm amazed at how much I can achieve with my kids just by keeping a calm voice and using empathy with them. Since my husband started love & logic parenting with me it makes all of our lives easier because were staying on the same page. At first this program was hard, but now I couldn't imagine parenting any other way! Thank you love & logic!

“You only had kids for slaves.” I used to babysit for a family that I truly believed only had kids so that they could be servants. It was ridiculous. They had to fetch everything for them. The parents couldn’t just go get their own crap for themselves. They pretty much cleaned the whole house on their own every day with no help from the parents. I was told when hired on that what happens in their house stays in their house. I wasn’t to talk about “their business” to anyone. In hindsight that should have been a red flag.
