- The E34 was part of the 1990-1995 golden era for automobiles. It was made right at the beginning of decent, usable HVAC and weatherstripping, and just before the end of that solid-feeling build quality with no flappy paper bumper covers.

Love the sounds. The key going into the ignition, the shifting, engine note, seat belt latches.... love the sound of mechanical things being operated.

well of course it is.. e34`s are getting more expensive every day and is harder to find a good one. his 4 litre v8 manual may one day be worth more than an e34 m5..

Yeah, you should always try to get a car with as little electric parts as possible, cause after a few years it will give you so much headache. You fix the electric windows, but soon it breaks again. This is true for any car

@@PCIsSuperior I mean that new cars (especially German performance cars) use lots computers and electrical components to get good performance out of the engine, whereas these old cars, they engineer the mechanics to make the car go fast

i had an schwarz 2 (same colour) m5 with White leather interior. I miss ... I remember the days i melt rear bumper because of the muffler heat. :) Good old days. I have an F10 and F25 now.

@@magg93 It's when they brought in that dakota shite that the leather quality dropped. E39s had Montana and Nappa leathers, both of which were lovely!

Absolutely beautiful, bmw really did reach a peak with the e34 and e39 in my humble opinion. No engine sound pumped thru the speakers back then......

I had an E34 535i in Abu Dhabi...FANTASTIC car...I was driving 180 miles a day to work and back. It was fast, reliable, comfortable, Parts were CRAZY CHEAP for it and simple to work on.

They do that for a reason. Orange is very easy on the eyes especially at night.
Many cars use orange interior lights. Maybe even most of them.

The E34 and E39 are both awesome when equipped with a V8! I love the exhaust note of this car. The new F90 M5 sounds almoat fake and lacks any good mechanical noise. This one however does not suffer from that and has a manual box.

my 540i is kinda clapped lol but 2 engine swaps later and its a blast to drive. once you get past the basic maintenance on these theyre very reliable and great cars

I remember i dad bringing home a brandnew 7.30 il bmw i think 87 D plate was the first but i never see one til he brought his home and after most cars were squair i stood looking at it and it looked amazing .

Of course it's no V8 but I think early 2000s lexus IS perfectly captured that moment of bmw in another car. Rwd, tremendous handling, you feel like you are the car despite the car being a sedan/wagon. The interior with no things to destract you from driving, the ferrari style shifter (metal ball at the end of a stick), the pedal feel, everything. That car wants to breathe and live and to be driven.
