Born and raised there. Washington state is gorgeous, it's my favorite state, but it's far too expensive now to live there comfortably so I moved away because of this issue. It's also become filled with a ton of egocentric and entitled peeps, albeit there's still a lot of incredibly kind people, there's too much of the "I'm better than you because of my car, house, money etc." Just sayin'.
Born and raised in Washington, Renton WA 1971 to 1989. Most of that time was in Vancouver and Ridgefield WA. Left in NOV 1989 and have not come back but only a couple times to visit, but have not been back since 2012. Now I live in the boonies in Southern Colorado just east of the San Juan and Wet Mountains. Love the view and the wilderness, wildlife, FREEDOM and the lack of population. I miss the green rain Forests of western WA. But not the politics nor the idea of being in an over-populated area.
Wow, cool! Sounds like a neat spot. I lived in Eastern Washington for three years and desperately missed the rain when I did. Cheers and thanks for watching
they've priced us out of our own homes, and then flipped politics on us, then they tell us to go if we don't like it. they're going to do this everywhere. :(

The housing and income disparity issues are nationwide, unfortunately.
I agree with that, especially for the east and west coast states with high cost of living metro areas.
Yeah! Go to Oregon or California.
🤣

Washington state is so pretty 🌲 and definitely a unique part of the USA. I'm sorry to hear you moved away, best of luck wherever you are now!
