I have very vivid memories from this era but I never realized how similar early 000s news reports are to 80s and 90s reports. HD t.v wasn’t much of a thing yet.
Yeah I was a 10 year old kid around this time. And i totally forgot how “old” it looked back then too. Curious when it really changed. I had a tube tv up until like 2012 lol.
I remember this, my family had a vacation planned to the Poconos during President's Day week. We drove there from Westchester, during the storm. It was an interesting drive.
😭God time flies so fast i still remember the excitement i had when it was announced schools were closed , I played gamecube & ps2 all day. had snowball fights and held a mini smash bros tournament @ my house
I’m a lot older than you, but Game Cube was my favorite system. I didn’t realize it then, of course - but I have the best memories of epic, all night Soul Calibur IV competitions with my friends.
I remember very well. We have a blizzard up in the in the capital region area of Albany, Schenectady, Troy during Christmas time that we have over 2 feet of snow.
I remember this blizzard. I can't believe it's been 20 years now. I was 12 when this happened and was in 6th grade remember having no school but damn that's too much snow for me. I live in Edison but don't remember that poor guy dying. I didn't really watch the news Channel though I watched the weather Channel I feel so bad for him. This is the biggest blizzard ever that I remember having here in NJ and lived here all my life. That was a big one!!! But yeah it did get me another day off and there was no virtual school back then and all my hw was dun so I got to relax after I helped clean up the drive way that is. But I do feel bad for those people who got stuck in the airport. I was lucky to be home. It was so windy too which made it feel colder and snow just blew around. We haven't had nearly that much snow in a long time.
On now look it 20 years later and we haven’t had any snow in this winter in NYC and it’s probably gonna break the record for the latest first measurable snow.

Yea true. News started looking different around late 2000’s.
07-08 is where major changes rlly happened
@micahdaenthusiast I would say more like 2010-12. Alot people were still working with tube tvs
