I always have to watch your vids twice. I watch you then i have to watch again because i didnt see what you actually did. You blow me away with your Beauty and your Diy Skills.
You go flower girl! 🙂 I am unsure how you measure land in Ireland. I live in Nashville, USA & I have an acre & a half in a subdivision. Daffodils are my favorite spring flower. After a grey winter, bright yellow flowers make me so happy. Over 20 years I've planted 2,000 Daffodils in my yard. They are under trees, along fence line, down the driveway, around the mailbox all around the house. I plant early, mid, & late season blooming bulbs. They multiply easily & I dig them up about every 3 years, divide the bulbs & replant them. Oh, I love them so much. They look amazing with my hotpink azaleas, yellow forsythia, pink Quince, and my 3 pink and 3 white dogwood trees. It's so hot here I don't go crazy on summer flowers, too exhausting to wrk outside in the heat. So I chose Spring as my time for the garden to shine. I also have 20 irises, and 5 peonies that bloom at the end of spring. The pinks, purples, and yellows are so beautiful together. 🙂🙂🙂💜💛💜💛💜 I hope your bulbs do well.
Your garden sounds amazing. I have a large garden but certainly nowhere as big as yours. I too have many daffodils that have multiplied over the years.
I just love your cozy backyard that has become (to me) the sweetest secret garden. I love all you've done to make it such a great place to escape. BEAUTIFUL job! 💗
I've binge watched so many of your videos in the last 2 weeks I'm developing an Irish accent, I work for a major insurance carrier in the US and while on the phone talking to customers I caught myself saying tink instead of think. Lol
Me too! The algorithm brought sweet Dainty into my feed about 2 weeks ago and I’ve also been binging them in reverse chronological order ( newest to oldest). Cheeky tums up!
Oh Catherine, you never cease to amaze and impress! Your Greenhouse is so adorable and welcoming. I laughed my socks off when you hoovered the greenhouse... Pure magic girl, pure magic. Now all we need is a bacon or strawberry conserve croissant (or both) with a good mug of tea sat quietly waking up to the beauty you're creating. Then for Elevenses a mug of a milky, frothy coffee with a selection of biscuits, lunchtime a toasted sandwich and a big mug of tea, 3 O'clock, afternoon tea... scones, cream and jam with a big mug of tea. Evening meal or tea or dinner salmon fillet with lemon butter, herby new potatoes, runner beans picked fresh from your garden, big mug of tea. Settle in greenhouse with a low glow of lights, fire on, rug on your lap in case it gets chilly reading a gardening book to relax!! With of course a big mug of tea and Blondie. Aaaahhh, Catherine what a sight to behold!! Can't wait to see your dream and hard work come into fruition! With all the hard work you do, you deserve it all to happen and come good!! Take care ,keep safe. Lesley-Ann xX P.S Don't forget to sow meadow/wild flower seeds for the bees. I'd move your bee hotel to the other side in case the residence sting you when you're working. LxX
you are a beautiful young lady with a amazing soul . love everything you do, i hope you are really proud of everything you have achieved thus far in your life. look forward to seeing your lovely things grow and hopefully your channel xxx
Love the greenhouse. If you ever need a greenhouse sitter, I'm your woman! Vacuuming the greenhouse!! Only you Catherine. Never change honey lol. Fab video, so much fun and cosiness. 🥰😁 xxx
Of course I know Laura and Aaron and their adorable kids. I have learned so much from Garden Answers. I can honestly say I've learned a lot from you too! Wonderful channels. xoxo
Oh a day in the garden - there is nothing to beat it! I'm sure it will look beautiful and you'll be well pleased with your hard work. Blondie is so funny! 💗🐱🌺🌷
Fab video, as usual. I cannot understand why you don't already have millions of followers. I think you have a little gardener's crush on Mr Monty Don! I don't blame you, he's so fab -knowledgeable and easy to listen to. One. Little thing...I really miss your cheeky TUMBS up. As you get bigger and more famous, please don't lose your Irishness. You're lovely!!
Lasagna planting- new concept. I’ve never seen bulbs planted so deep. Did they come up? Fascinating. I just love ms Blondie 💕😁💕. She’s by your side and you’re so sweet to her 💕. Love you and your lovely videos. 😘
Smart to put your bulbs in the beds and containers. If you put them in the ground you forget where you planted them sometimes. They are going to be gorgeous when they bloom in the spring!... I also love summer bulbs like gladiolus and dahlias and sunflowers. You are so creative and have a good eye for decorating. You should be featured in a magazine!
10/8/21 I was thinking how much you have matured from you first couple of shows. I admire you Catherine, you have inspired me so much this past year. I am fulfilling all my desires for my home one by one. Thank you so muchly. God bless.
Greenhouse looks so cosy. Yes it's really hard work, everything heavier and bulkier than we think. Skip into garden with a plan and couple hours later crawl back inside fearing will never stand up straight again 😲
A mini Keukenhof! It made me smile. You go, girl. In the big Keukenhof, they have just started this week to plant 7 million bulbs for next year's show. It takes 40 gardeners 3 months to get all the bulbs in. Imagine how that will feel on their backs! :-)
Your garden looks so beautiful already. I can't wait t0 see it in spring. The greenhouse has such a cosy atmosphere - I would quite happily spend the day in it ;)
I'm from France but!! I lived in scotland and I DO UNDERSTAND the words : winter is coming. the darkness the cold the wind and snow! and I lve how you say but like boooooot!! so cute !!! love it!!!! love from normandy clives!!
You can plant some pansies or violas on top of your bulb lasagnas, that way you have some colour throughout the winter before your spring bulbs come up! Works brilliantly! 🌷
Love your garden Catherine. I can’t wait to see your flowers 💐 rise in the spring. Love the way blondie gets attention. I love cats, mine are calming tools. Blessings from California US
Ah ya make this old girls heart sing with your cuteness! In and out like a fiddler’s elbow. I don’t know why my mind can take the most innocent comments to the naughty list 🤣! The greenhouse looks magickal and I can’t wait to see the journey of your plantings! I have a DIY challenge to extend to ya😃! I can totally imagine a Pollinator Hotel, shaped like a windmill in the middle of your tulip field!!
🤞🏽 for an amazing spring display of your bulbs! If you haven't tried a bulb auger, it's something to consider! Insert it in to your Ryobi drill and off you go! Happy planting!
You can buy a long auger that fits in your drill....drill holes, drop in bulbs, and cover with soil. It's fast and saves on the back. You have your little woodland area by the shed....perfect spot for some bulbs. I wonder if Blondie thinks you've added four gigantic litter boxes for her. lol
No way! I was planting bulbs today … ended up getting dark and I thought I was getting bitten by midgets as I was finishing off with the hyacinths. Was so itchy all over my face 😂😂😂 You learn something new everyday 🌸☺️
💚 your greenhouse and raised beds You may consider black plastic mesh to cover your beds. Sun, rain can get thru. Your able to see the progress and keep Blondie or other critters from digging and disturbing them till they come up.
Christine I just love love your channel.I live in the USA in Arizona, we have a little bit of a difference of climate but your enthusiasm is so infectious. I can't wait to see your garden progress. It definitely has me inspired to do more.
Mother-in-law's tongue plant is about the best air purifier. Great for bedrooms. look into growing veg/salad from the base of the plants and putting the root into water in dishes or bowls until little roots grow, then plant then. Spring onions grow like this so easilly. Lettuce and celery the same. You could get solar lights for the greenhouse, too. I love that grenhouse and your whole home.
The Bulp planter digger is great. It has inch markers, so you know how deep you're going (taping it off for each depth is a great help savingg time and your back. Also, I use it everywhere for removing dirt where I have a space, one at a time, planting many small plants. This perfect for your seedling flats ... And, loo rolls, of course ... Because, they are generally the same depth and width you need. Just pop the dirt out if he digger and spread around the plant. So excited with all you have done! It will be especially exciting and rewarding to you for all of that hard work and sore fingers! You are really an inspiration!
Made me smile hoovering the greenhouse ! Reminded me when I found a load of pigeon feathers on the grass!! ( not my cat) they were everywhere so I got my upright hoover out, literally!! have to giggle, no-one saw me. !! X❤X
Girl... You tickle my fancy in every video... Blondie is lookin at those raised beds like giant kitty boxes! Lol.... DIY A PENDENT LIGHT IN THAT BEAUTIFUL GARDEN HOUSE!!😁😁😁 Take care love
Your greenhouse and backyard are really becoming something magical! The greenhouse would be a lovely spot to curl up with a book in a chair and listen to the rain hit the glass. (I know that's not the point of the greenhouse but it seems like such a relaxing spot.)
I did smile when you were being supervised by Blondie! I have two poodles and one gardens in reverse when I’m out there doing planting or tidying up - as fast as I am trying to be productive my dog is undoing something!!!! I have done pots with layered tulips in for the past few years and really appreciate the colour in the spring. I did a mix this year called chocolate orange. Can’t wait to see your flowers in the spring. Thank you for sharing.
I just LOVE your channel! You are so enthusiastic! AND have GREAT IDEAS! Ok, can I give you some, please? Wel I will anyway...sorry, nearly 60.. so doing the Mum thing, about gardening! Okay, here goes.... Did you realise that most edible onions produce beautiful WHITE flower heaads? If you have an onion that starts to sprout you can plant it just like a bulb , as long as it has not gone at all soft. You can even cut off your onion root ends (the flat bits with maybe roots in a saucer of water for a week, change the water every day and they will start to grow onion leaves and baby roots) After a couple of weeks, make a decent sized hole in a pot of compost or your garden if mild (sorry, Ireland is mild to me this time of year!) If you plant your edible onions with ANY of the other bulb species, IT IS JUST FOR DISPLAY! *****IMPORTANT*** Most people cant tell the difference between a Daffodil, tulip etc bulb and and onion. ALL THE SPRING FLOWERING BULBS ARE EITHER REALLY POISONOUS or NOT GREAT! Plant Garlic etc with your bulbs, BUT DO NOT EAT ANYTHING OUT OF THAT DISPLAY! You have got a lovely menage of bulbs, but you have forgotten to put in any of the winter sown seeds! Forget-me-nots, just scattered. Would go well with your colour scheme. As far as I understand it your climate, should be a lot like where I grew up...West Edge of Dartmoor...Wet and windy in Summer, Medium cold, very wet, in winter. My Grandfather used to ask for smow! Over 4 inches (10com) is an insulator. Like putting fleece on. The WET kills tubers bulbs etc. (oddly enough NOT spuds, how does anyone explain volunteer spuds? Anyway, for your Dahlia tubers I syggest those net bags you get spuds and onions in...hung on the ceiling of your greenhouse (or old tights!) To make it pretty, old fashioned wicker shopping baskets, hang them at the roof apex, airflow, stick your potato/onion sack of bulbs/ dahlia tubers in it! I know you are a dab hand at the DIY. Much love Tam
I love that sweater you had on such a pretty one. I love the garden beds so lovely can't wait to see the blooms. I was out early this morning and saw a mug that looks like what you put on the greenhouse cabinets. It reminded me of you. Love that. I wish a TV show would snag you. So many beautiful things you do and create. Have a good Friday and a good weekend see you in the evening since I go back full five days of work. I am sad
'I've lived to tell the tale...'. You are too cute !! I'm watching with my 16yo ginger n white female cat at my elbow. I'm slowly recovering from major surgery 7.5 weeks ago and itching to prepare my raised veggie garden beds. Husband will be doing the grunt work while I direct, I think 🤣 Love your channel. Hi from subtropical Australia where it's getting hot already xx
Oh, boy... now I want to plant bulbs! Never in my life have I ever had that desire! I also love love your heater/fireplace. I've been searching for one, then I get discouraged because I can't find one... your video comes out and I'm back on the hunt! 🥰
I love your green house I live in New Zealand 🇳🇿 and watching you in the garden is making me want to do my patio and make a green house. Thank you 😊 I have family that live in Ireland 🇮🇪 so it nice listening to you hahah
The best video, Dainty pottering in the garden, pure joy 😊. For fruits I would also suggest gooseberry, red and blackcurrant and blueberry bushes, it takes them couple years to mature, but then if you tend them a little, you get plenty fresh berries in the summer and autumn. They are fab fresh, to make in to jams and jellies and fabulous to add to cheeky gin cocktail 🤣🥰 also littellens loove raiding those bushes and munching on fresh fruit 🧡🍂🤣 p.s. from my grandparents I know that you can cover some of the crops with straw to winter them 🌱
Blonde be like: look at these huge litter boxes 😼 And yay for brothers!! Yes, spring flowers are so beautiful after a long winter and most are toxic to cats and dogs ☹️. Your evening greenhouse is so cozy and inviting. Houseplants FYI, I keep a spider plant accessible in the house for kitty to chew on. He's always left the others alone. Take care and enjoy that garden and pretty jumper. I want and will get an Irish jumper one day.💞
White daffodils are called narcissuses. I love daffodils and intend to grow some in my garden too, they were my nans favourite flowers. I had some on the church window sills for my wedding day. Had roses as my bouquet flowers so didn’t want to mix the yellow in with them. But I still had some around as a nod to my Nan x
Hello from Canada 🇨🇦.. another great video! I am not a fan of fall and winter, so this video helps me 🙂. I love how you find room for everything inside and outside of your home! I love Garden Answer as well!! Have an awesome day!! 🍀🌼🌱🌷
I love you garden. The raised beds are really nice and filled with lovely flowers for the spring. It will be great to see the results. Ann from Va. USA 🇺🇸
Ah!!!! First of all. You look absolutely beautiful in both colors of your jumpers. Gotta buy me some. You look cozy yet chic😉🥰💖. Second, I am on the edge of my seat with excitement! Can not wait for your spring blooms. Best of wishes for an abundance🤞🌷🌼🌸🌺💐

Those flower beds are going to look awesome. I grew spring bulbs this year they are so rewarding.

I've been admiring those beautiful ceramic planters you have. Found some at my favorite half off store here in the states, Marshall's.
Yes 👏 I told you to get kids gardening gloves all of my grandkids have them to help [make a mess] nanny garden😂
I am sad
Love this,greenhouse is beautiful.
I need to plant some bulbs x
Dooo it!!
Lovely greenhouse 😊. I can't wait till next spring to see all your lovely flowers start to bloom 😍
Can’t wait to see your beds in bloom!
Me too Mary ❤️ thanks for watching X
Hi dear Catherine. 🙂 and Blondie🐈 .Beautiful video, thank you. Congratulations and I wish you much success. With love Maťa from Slovakia 🤗💓💕💕💕Bye
Someone may have already suggested this: there are attachments for your drill for bulb planting. Might be something you would appreciate using.
Whaaaat, my mind is blown! Off to google them
Oh, boy... now I want to plant bulbs!
Thank you 😊
I have family that live in Ireland 🇮🇪 so it nice listening to you hahah
I want and will get an Irish jumper one day.💞
Looks great. Mesh over the beds should help with Blondie’s digging❤️✨
Oh boy! That’s going to be a lovely flower display, come Spring!
I’d never heard of lasagna bulb planting. But, it’s a cool idea!
Beautiful
White daffodils are called narcissuses. I love daffodils and intend to grow some in my garden too, they were my nans favourite flowers. I had some on the church window sills for my wedding day. Had roses as my bouquet flowers so didn’t want to mix the yellow in with them. But I still had some around as a nod to my Nan x
Oh that's such a nice touch and so meaningful ❤️ thanks for sharing
What a beautiful life you live. Hello Blonde. You keep an eye on Catherine ☺️☺️. Happy day 😃🥰🐾
She always does ❤️
Hello from Canada 🇨🇦.. another great video!
USA 🇺🇸
