Since beginning his comedy career in Melbourne, Australia in 2005, Randy Feltface has written and performed eight solo stand-up comedy shows, released three comedy specials, played sold-out seasons in London and New York, and been nominated for Best Comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He made his US television debut on NBC’s Bring The Funny in 2019 and has been invited to perform at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal on four separate occasions.
In 2010 Randy joined forces with musical comedian Sammy J to create Ricketts Lane, which won Best Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and went on to become a television series of the same name, airing in 2015 on ABC TV in Australia, Seeso in the US and Netflix in the UK. Randy's role in Sammy J & Randy in Ricketts Lane earned him an AACTA Award nomination for best performer in a comedy series, the first non-human performer to be recognized in this category. He opened his most recent show Modus Operandy at the Sydney Opera House as part of the 2019 Just For Laughs Festival before shows in London, Amsterdam and an extensive North American tour. Randy’s live show is a high-energy existential crisis, full of biting observations, razor-sharp crowd work, and rapid arm movements.

This especially would have been true if you include bronies and looked around 10 years ago. There seemed to be a brony convention somewhere at least a couple times a month back then.

@@OriginalPiMan Pittsburgher here. (I'm not a furry, but the convention is held here yearly) It's the 3rd largest furry convention in the WORLD. It's actually become a pretty big deal here in Ye Olde Steel City.
Seriously, the past few days in Pittsburgh has been nothing but furry activity around nearly every corner, I did a double take when I saw this in my feed because for a moment I thought Randy *was* posting about Anthrocon lmao

Furries live and die by the artists, good or bad. Yeah, finding a sfw furry visual is so hard. So far I think there's only 2 or 3 visual novels out of the 50+ at least I've downloaded that are completely sfw so far (doesn't even have the choice to skip an nsfw scene simply because there aren't any). The 2 I can name are both set in the future and 1 of them includes a protogen (cyborg furry) so that doesn't count imo

Most comedians typically pick the low-hanging fruit when it comes to joking about furries but props to Randy for being a little bit more open and respecting about such a divisive topic, even if the audience went a bit quiet on it. Randy gets a pass from the furries

Comedians usually take that stuff and run with it in a very bad way, so I'm glad Randy at least just wanted to ask the person about it instead of assuming stuff.

I actually find it really cool that randy just rolled with the punches, didn't berate, etc.
I think it's actually kinda funny the furry community. Was a brony myself from about 2012-2016. And the thing I find in the current era is that the furry community is universally shunned yet a large portion of those that shit on it are actively into it on the side.
Like even me amongst my friends, you point and laugh at the inflation fetishes and vore fetishes but you can't talk about the fact that some of the things you were seeing were totally up your alley.
It's almost a silent agreement too where you just don't talk about it. You know based upon the things you have seen them playing or watching that they are into it but neither of you can say it because it would lead to you being tarred and feathered.
Though I wouldn't call myself a furry, nor am I into anything anthro, I find myself going to e621 on occassions. For me the big thing is certain Pokemon.

Reminds me a bit of a time at a car meet I saw some bloke had a sticker of a [dirty things brand logo, shall we say, which had the decency to be subtle enough that it was one of those “if you know, you know” type things] and I just took a moment to stand in quiet amazement at the sheer audacity of the matter.
Wow, this was a delightful and unusually respectful conversation explaining yhe furry community. Huge props, Randy. You handled this well, while still being funny. I'm honestly amazed and pleased that fur suits didn't come up all. Plenty, if not most, of the furry community is about enjoying writing and artwork, not fur suits. That's how it is for me, and it seems our friend Max here as well. Not that there's anything wrong with fur suits, I just feel it's a side of the community that gets too much attention.

For people who don't know what furries are, people think they are people in fursuits, but really, it's anyone who drew/ likes mammalian animal humans. And for more context, scalies are the same thing, but with reptilian animals, and not mammalian

I was at this show. Last year Oct 15th. Great show. Was amazing to see Randy live for once and it was a small venue that was perfect.

Resident furry here, there are two kinds of furries (that I've seen). The really chill artistic ones and the absolute trashbags of any society. I don't think there's any in-between. Furries can be categorized further based on the animal of interest. I believe most are not straight either. And there are a lot more furries out there than you think, but like anyone that isn't straight here in today's society, it can pose a problem to someone, which sucks. Uh...that's about the extent of my knowledge, I don't go out and hang with other furries sadly. The community as a whole is quite fascinating.
Yeah there’s only two types of furries. There’s the kindest furry you’ve ever seen that cares a lot for their friends and those around them. And then there’s the furry that’s a neo nazi, racist, and a misogynist that somehow manages to also be homophobic. Yup you’re certainly right, no in between.

This was the first show of Randy's I saw in person. Did not disappoint.
I've noticed in the last few of your videos that there is a lot of reverberation. When the audience laughs and you say something, it can't be heard. It is also very difficult to hear the audience member. In this particular video, I only heard about every third word. You should really consider putting your own subtitles on your videos.

For anyonw wondering yes, loony toon animators do sometimes make adult content of the characters and put it in a "Do not open" vault. In fact almost all animators in the animation industry have drawn a a nude, crude or rude thing and kept it hidden from public. Even Disney animators did this; Betty Boop drawn in pin ups and Minnie mouse drawn with up skirt.

I watched a pupputry panel at a fur con recently (Anthrocon). I was blown a away by a few of the acts, ngl. Never not gonna say furries aren't freaking weird fr but damn do I love em and damn are they an exponentially growing community lately.
