5:12 You could have used a muffler clamp on that pipe. Then you would not have a bolt throught the middle of the pipe stopping the starlink cable from going through. 1 1/2 inch muffler clamp is about $3-4 at any auto parts store.
Now that would have been a good idea. Two reasons why I did not. 1, any trips to town take me about 1.25 hrs not counting store time and I did not have one. 2. I did not know such a thing existed 😀
@@tlchomestead I sometime forget that people live a long ways from a town. My Sister lived on a mountain top that was at least 20 to 30 minutes from town.
Sadly the trees to the north do obstruct just a little bit as does the one black walnut to the south. During winter and early spring the app had no obstructions but as the trees leaved up I got some minor obstructions. Sadly in order trim those I'd need to climb way up a tree and that is not going to happen :)
Not sure what you mean by the "wedge"? But, I can say all the pipe adapter came with was the adapter itself, the set screws and those cable organizers :)
@@tlchomestead what i mean was the peace that you replace on the Starlink satellite for your pipe adapter to fit it look like a wedge mine has a kick stand right now and i have to replace that so the pipe adapter work’s

You asked if starlink can rotate, yes, it can, It will self align to the satellites. It does that during the boot up (takes a few minutes).
Yeah, as I watched the dish boot up it did both tilt up/down as well as rotate right/left. I am liking it so far.
Looks like, you don't have much to worry, about, that tree is to the south of dish. (The back side)

7:02 The starlink app on your cell phone will tell you in about 12 hours, if it has any obstructions.
I have seen that but did not know how log it took to settle down. 12hrs - thanks for the pointer :)
