      I am not sure what part you mean but time shall tell. I am taking a guess you mean due to the edges and the drop ... and if that is the case I am not concerned. Not the first time I have had that steep of a bank, all the rocks and clay hold things nicely. Besides, this is not the finished product but nearly a phrase in making drive as wide as possible. Dozer will make edges less steep at the end of all this :)

    Things are really going to start moving at a quick pace now. I like the extra T wall and having the retaining walls poured at the beginning of the project not trying to engineer it after the fact. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the build.

    • @tlchomestead
      @tlchomestead 3 дні тому

      wow, that is a hard question :) Yes: if you have time to work with the dog, room for it to run and if you have the patience of Job! I have over 80 ac of land and go to training once a week with Meka. She is the best dog I ever had. If you want to understand why I say what I say watch this video * ua-cam.com/video/Gmdcw2YVoxs/v-deo.html This is a typical day with her. She is akin to drinking a case of sugar infused energy drinks and then trying to sit still to watch a movie! Now, if you can handle all that for the next 10-13 years ... I cannot recommend a duchie enough. This one follows me everywhere, velcro dog is an understatement.

    Have you tried storing it and rehydrating it? Been making freeze dry taco meat, had good luck there, good luck with sour cream, mixed results with shredded cheese. But looking for more things to add to the meat to make a taco bowl to store back for camping or radio trips (put the sour cream and cheese in separate mylar to rehydrate cold or sprinkle on the taco bowl).

    Looks like you have a 50/50 mix of rocks and clay. The driver is looks good but it’s literally tons of work! I would be concerned about how rain runs off.

    • @tlchomestead
      @tlchomestead 13 днів тому

      I have many many many rocks, if only there was a way to make money from rocks without destroying my place :) Rain is always something I am dealing with on my driveway. Grand total I have about 1/2 mile of driveway and there are spots where I get ruts over time. Typically I need to touchup about once a year, or two. You are right tho, if left unchecked I will get big tire swallowing ruts in my drive.

      She is FULL of energy and even when she is giving me extra work she is fun. I will say this is my first duchie and I think I'll have this breed from here out. They are a TON of work but awesome dogs. I have NOT trained her for bite work but I am pretty confident from how she acts that if someone threatened me she would react. You do need to watch this breed for overworking themselves. Food and water are not the first things on her mind when outside. I am trying to train her to "water" means take a drink. I have hopes that once my house is further along to work with my trainer for search and rescue. My previous dog was SAR but he liked cadavers a bit toooo much so we were never deployed :)

    • @tlchomestead
      @tlchomestead 27 днів тому

      I have a 100w briefcase solar panel I tried. I'll have to post a follow up vid but basically it turns out the EF delta 2 has a minimum required supply of power. My little panel must be right on the edge. Full sun and I got a slow charge, any clouds and it quit charging. My briefcase panel measured at 125w / 4.6amp open load. Now, the EF does state there must be a charge controller between the unit and the panel. I do have 4x 400w panels in storage which last I tested those they are 12amp each. The EF has a max of 15amp so they should be ok. More projects for someday where there is time :)

I get that many people tore off their kickstands by forgetting to lift them before operation, but the whole pin dance you have to do with the 682 is an engineering fail in my opinion. cutting performance is the same. Many 1-2" trees and super thick brush. Later this fall I plan on doing a good re-cut of the areas I cleared back in 2022 when this machine was brand new and I was eating belts like ice cream. That will be a real test.
