    I'm saving up my nickels, dimes, and pennies and maybe one day I can own one. This is my all time favorite rifle ever! I pray I can own one before my life is over. 🙏

I feel that's the only rifle I need to complete my collection, although we both know it's never complete lol. If you ever wanna sell it at a good price let me know. I gotta have one! I need it lol! Beautiful, beautiful! I just got my own, and it has the bipod and the pod on the rear as well. Must be the newer models. Awesome firearm!

    I am a little surprised that yours does not have that mini pod on the rear, as mine does (and yes, mine is a M82A1). It has the 20-inch barrel. I took the handle off and have a sling on it; not too bad for transporting. I absolutely LOVE the manageable recoil of these firearms! The barrel has 2 very strong springs which significantly reduce the recoil, making it similar to shooting a 12-gauge (so I have heard). Of course, the weight of the gun helps some, too! I just got mine on July 16, 2020. Fired it for the very first time on July 4, 2021. Shooting at watermelons at 50 yards at the local range, just getting the feel of it, listening to some AC⚡️DC! Missed the melons (and did not have the rear sight up), but it was very invigorating! I just recently claimed a mid-sized watermelon at 100 yards (on October 16), with a nice, clean split! (Still with the iron sights!) Will be getting a Trijicon Credo 4-16x50 scope mounted at some point. Hopefully someday I can get out somewhere I can shoot Tannerite! But for now I am happy just splitting watermelons!😃💥🍉😈

    My FDE Barrett M107a1 cost me over $12,000 with the tax, and then another $3000 for my 5-25 x 56mm Leupold Scope, add to that 4 extra $189 ea magazines I bought at the Barrett online store with their respective $40 storage pouch and that adds over $1000 to the package. So we’re talking over $16,000 for this platform so far, and that’s not including the ammo! So far I’ve purchased 10 mil-spec .50 cal metal ammo cans that hold a total of 150 rounds each. All in all I’ve filled them with 300 Hornady 750 gr AMAX, 300 PMC Solid Brass 740 gr, 300 API (Armor Piercing Incendiary), and 600 APIT (Armor Piercing Incendiary Tracer). So my .50 Arsenal stands at 1500 rounds. I think that’s enough for a SHTF scenario only because I’m covered by a massive arsenal of AR15s, AR10s, AR12s, AK47s, several tactical shotguns, 9mm handguns, .380 handguns, and even some pocket .22 mag pistols. Yes sir combined ammunition of all these weapons have surpassed 25,000 rounds. I’m preparing for the collapse of society and the nightmare that’s to come! You can never have too much ammo as even if you’re not using it to shoot, it is going to be worth it’s weight in gold in a cashless society as a form of barter. I say to everyone stock up on ammo constantly while it still available!!!

      I like prepping also but I think people have extremely unrealistic expectations about how things would be if the shit hit the fan. You say you would barter but what would stop the other group from taking your people out and just stealing all your shit? You think anyone would give 2 fucks about morals or going to heaven if they're starving and miserable? Interacting with other groups would do nothing but put you and your family at risk. Far too many people seem to have this asinine belief that it would be like The Walking Dead minus the zombies. I'm sure you have a cool collection but if you have the wrong mentality you'll just end up being a weapon cache for the guys that don't give a fuck.

    Your over exaggeration of the accuracy is a bit comical, anyone who knows anything about the M82 will tell you it's not all that accurate (semi auto, moving barrel, big recoil, ect), but then again it shouldn't take much to take out light armored vehicles or satellite communications.

      Its an anti material tool not a sniper rifle. When everyone else around you has a 5.56 carbine or 7.62x51 belt fed the .50 bmg barrett would fair better in accuracy. Moat DSM rifles are more accurate against lone soft targets.

    i think you can also get it in a 32" barrell, california doesnt allow them, and it costs some where around $8,900. but barrett also has other .50 cal rifles that are cheaper and i think nicer; this includes the M99 or the "Big shot" as its nicknamed, this ones my personal favorite, and also the M95, both cost somewhere between 4500and 7500 dollars

    What kind of groups would you get at 500 yards vs a 308 rem 700 at the same distance. I hear that the 50 cal is not a great grouper. (I am guessing this is a lie cause why would so many use it?) I bet the Rem 700 does have a better group but M82 does the job. even tho it has a larger group it is not way out of control.
    "my 45 is better than your 9 man!" How about you really step it up to a 50BMG!!!

    Man, you talk about the Barrett guy who invented this rifle like he's some legendary hero. Your illusion of him would quickly fade if you saw how he presents himself with his Gucci watch and slimy, cheesy personality. Come on, he's a military contractor, and he'll sell these to anyone so long as he makes a ton of money. Doesn't appear to have much of a soul. Course, I'm not saying I wouldn't want one of these rifles, I don't have an issue with them.

    • @PropsandWings
      @PropsandWings Рік тому

      You think anyone else out there who is a contractor wouldn't do the same thing? It's all big business and money making. Besides, the .50 cal has been around since the late 1900s thanks to John Moses Browning and it's awesome. Ronnie capitalized on the ability of the cartridge and made his net worth, nothing more nothing less. People that buy these rifles have some deep pockets so who cares lol.

      Nowadays you can get M33 ball ammo which is your standard FMJ 661 grain for $3.80 per shot. Multiple ammo makers sell them for different costs. Only the Match Grade is like $9-17 a shot but that's for 1 MOA at 1 mile. Everything else, is 4 MOA at a mile or roughly thereof.

    Not worth watching unless you want a history lesson about Barrett. Doesn't even show how the rifle breaks down or functions nor was there a show test firing, just panning back and forth over the fully assembled rifle. Don't waste your time. I already have the rifle in 416 which is even a better performing round than the 50 BMG but the 50 cal is much more ubiquitous especially on the battlefield.
