I want to know how to get that stubborn front sight to come up! I got a M82A1 recently and have just been marveling over it. But, again, that front sight won't budge! I want to take it out and shoot it using the sights before getting a scope mounted, which will be a while.
I have a question on the rail. Back when the M82 came out was it just one rail for the scope? And what year did they started to use the extended rail across on top of the rifle with the M82A1 for the civilian ?

There is a thing you have to slide on top of the sight then using a pick you can lift it up.

damn. Probably shooting one of these rifle isn't cheap at all.
