      Anti Fascist Action how would a stateless society actually work on a large scale? In this world of today where every single region, state or province in the world is reliant on resources from the exterior there must be a regulatory force behind it, whether it is a market or a government. The world is no longer self sufficient and with this large of a population it cannot become self sufficient. A barter system cannot work today simply because the nature of trade is too international. Yes a person could trade seeds for meat today but that person can't trade seeds for copper, lithium, steel, plastic, glass, aluminum and rubber to make a car and distribute that same car on an international scale

    • @TJ5897
      @TJ5897 7 років тому +9

      I'm actually not against currency, or governance for that matter so long as said government is directly re-callable at anytime and is not bought out by corporations. Only way to keep corporate interest out of politics is to get rid of corporations.

      Godlike Fam socialism has only taken root in countries where people living in poverty have been pushed to socialism. Russia wasn’t impoverished after I️t became socialist, socialism dragged Russia out of an agrarian based society and into an industrial powerhouse that rivaled the United States. Also, keep in mind that in countries like Cuba and North Korea, there’s massive sanctions and embargo’s against them. And another thing, North Korea has had trouble with food because their agriculture was flooded and destroyed during the Korean War by their dams being bombed and also having a colder climate making I️t harder to produce food. Also, in Cuba, despite the sanctions, Cuba has developed vaccines for certain cancers and has a global health initiative.

I've always said, none of us can expect you to just upload a new video every hour or whatever, and those that do can literally f**k off. 1:37 mistake, kind of a big one - This mass of people gathered there not to protest against the Tsar, but to meet him and explain him their problems, also having a list of ideas (such as lesser work hours). That's why (and also bcs sunday) everyone was dressed in their best and sang orthodox hymns. Btw, the Tsar was not even in the city at that time. So this whole shooting from the soldiers was just a huge mistake from the city's governor.
    Sad truth.

    Some notes. Petrograd Soviet had to work with Duma due to Duma having the legislative power (Emperor gave them the imperial seal)
    Also, the October Revplution becoming public was not actually done for publicity. Party officials that did NOT agree with doing it at that particular time, made it public.

    13 points I want to point out since I am a communist who is well studied on the USSR and the Russian Revolution.
    1: Every communist and/or socialist will say that before a "communist utopia" is reached there is the transition phase which is socialism. Communism, a global classless, stateless society, is not able to be obtained in a situation where the capitalist imperialist hold some form of power, for pushing a nation to statelessness and classlessness would leave the region weak enough to be dominated by capitalist imperialists. The natural progression of society is to move from capitalism to a workers socialist state, to where state withers away in to communism once capitalism has collapsed globally.
    2: Lenin never believed a communist revolution (the correct term is socialist revolution) would succeed by the strong leadership of one person or a few. Lenin believed and argued that the most advanced sections of the working class must become class conscious and take the duty of leading the working class to class consciousness and class war against the capitalist class who exploits them. Then, once a workers state is established, the working class must take position in local soviets, voting in representatives from among the working class, who will also sit upon the supreme soviet (congress) to deal with national issues. The subject of how the party worked was everyone had a single vote, and no one, not even the leader of the party, could overrule another and consolidate power for themselves.
    For more on the soviet government and electoral system I recommend the following video:
    ua-cam.com/video/9PoYzPfguJc/v-deo.html
    3: Thing I need to add on regards to the Agricultural farmers and WWI; due to the war there was a wealthy class among the farmers called kulaks who bought 9/10ths of all the farm land in Russia. Why is this important? Because around 1927-28, the kulaks started hoarding food to cause a crisis in the USSR, which lead to collectivization in 1928 to take the farms and feed the people again, which caused a revolt by the kulaks who burned food supplies and killed livestock, ultimately leading to the famine of 1932-33. I know this isn't related to the video but none the less still important to add.
    4: Lenin and his comrades (he had a group of revolutionary communists with him when they went back to Russia) was terrified to head back, expecting to be arrested at any time during the trip due to a large number of communist revolutionaries heading to a country that is on its last legs.
    5: Lenin's main goal was to take Russia out of the war because it goes in line with the communist view of war. That being to maintain peace and diplomacy and to never go in to war unless on the grounds of self-defense (such as the example of WWII when the soviet's declared to fight off the Nazi invasion)
    6: Trotsky was not a Bolshevik he was a Menshevik. The only reason he was involved with the soviets was due to his amazing military strategy, which is why he was made general of the Red Army for a short time, before he let his genocidal tendencies get the better of him, gained the name of a butcher, and was, as result, removed from his post.
    7: The Bolsheviks grew in popularity due the the fact that they was well organized and doing a lot for the working people in Russia, the Mensheviks and revolutionary socialists was very unorganized, fighting among themselves, and doing little for the people of Russia.
    8: The Mensheviks always fought with the Bolsheviks, even before the revolution the Menshevik, Leon Trotsky, slandered Lenin and the Bolshevik movement, in which Lenin returned the favor on multiple occasions within his collected works (Lenin's collected works is 45 volumes.) Of course with the popularity of the Bolsheviks and them rising to power, the Mensheviks would act sore and mad and complain of "power grab" when the opposite was the case.
    9: Lenin and his movement had the majority support from the working people, if they didn't the revolution would have collapsed. Lenin was elected head of state (the status of leader.)
    10: The Tsar, specifically Nicholas and his wife, was guilty of mass starvations, unethical treatment of the working class people, forcing workers in to a war, unloading shots in to protesters, etc. They deserved their execution. The children I disagree with deserved execution, however the way the entire event took place, it felt like it was done at a local level by a unregulated group rather than by the orders of Lenin.
    11: In 1947 the countries who became part of the Soviet Union didn't get "absorbed", they joined by free will. Some of the nations joined after the Soviets came to fix the nations up due to the destruction of Nazi invasion. Ask a lot of the people from those nations and a good chunk will talk of how the Nazis came and destroyed everything in a brutal genocidal campaign, and then the soviets came and built schools, hospitals, etc.
    12: The anti-Bolshevik forces was interested in re-establishing the monarchy, and was aided by over 7 capitalist countries around the globe. They went from city to city in Russia killing entire towns, repressing pro-communist civilians, etc. They was the fascists before Nazi Germany. There was even other sects during the revolution such as the anarchist faction who pretty much did the same thing the white army did, while fighting the white army as well.
    13: The "early bloody years of the Soviet Union" was more so during the periods of the revolution and the civil war, after that the only other times it was bloody was during the revolts of the kulaks and the "great" purge, which was carried out under a corrupt NKVD officer called Yezov who targeted government officials. He was later arrested along with the purgers, tried, found guilty, and executed.

    Most supporters of communism I have met always got 2 things wrong.
    1) They think there is a fixed amount of wealth in the country, and the rich are unfairly taking up way more than their "fair share".
    When actually, basic economics says wealth does not have a fixed quantity, wealth can be created by producing value. So almost all rich people create most of their wealth through their businesses/jobs and are not taking up someone else's money.
    2) They believe that a company's profits must be equally divided among the workers as they are the ones who do all the work.
    This is a total ignorance and completely disregard the amount of effort and skill needed for an entrepreneur to start and efficiently run a consistently profitable business. If the workers were smart enough to run the company themselves they would/could have started their own ventures. But no, these workers want a "safe" source of income where they are guranteed to get paid for working for a fixed amount of hours a week and want minimum risk. Hence they myst accept limited payment, while the entreprenur is rewarded with all the profits for building a business which provides value and creates jobs.

    • @ОлегКозлов-ю9т
      @ОлегКозлов-ю9т 7 років тому +54

      Dem pesky workers wanting better future for their children and better life for themselves in a country created by their sweat and defended by their blood! How dare they!
      Jokes aside, you got some things "wrong" too, so don't call other people ignorant when they make mistakes, alright?
      Communism is the best idea and the best economic model ever created, I truly believe in that. The only flaw it has is a fatal one, though: it is completely fantastic utopia, as proven by many countries.
      If you want, we can discuss it further, but judging from your post I think you are already biased against other models than capitalism. Would be glad to find out I was wrong though.

    • @Geekman16
      @Geekman16 7 років тому +22

      Yes let us ignore fundamental ideas in economics like the finite amount of resources and infinite demand. While wealth certainly isn't a fixed value, there are only so many resources, and those resources have to be distributed in some manner. How those resources are distributed is the primary difference between the two economic systems. One relies on prices/demand, the other government decree.
      Second, the concern that many self described communists have is that administrators do not generate as much economic value as they would like you to believe. They want to live in a world were people are rewarded for the work they produce, which isn't counter the ideals of capitalism. Administrators and entrepreneurs do provide a service, which has economic value, but then we come to the issue that many of the worlds richest people make the majority of their money not by producing anything of value, but by charging money for access. I'm going to use the idea of Georgism, which was the idea that inspired the game "Monopoly" and which some of the the U.S. Founding Fathers believed in.
      *Does it make sense that someone can make money by renting out space on a piece of land?*
      Now, I recognize that being a landlord today comes with many tasks and responsibilities, but we're going to ignore those for a second. If you were to rent out a piece of land for someone to use, do you generate anything of value? The right to own property is protected by the government, so you don't need really to have a giant army to stake your claim and defend it against others who to try to take your land, so the government generates that value, not you. You are not making new land. If you don't generate any value, then why are you rewarded financially for it?
      The idea was that since the government is providing the service, the government should reap the financial reward, or the soldiers and police officers that work for it. This became the foundation of the modern property tax.
      The same argumentation can apply to lending money, stocks, commodities, bonds, etc. Do you generate economic value by doing something? Or are you just gating access to a resource that already existed?
      The debate over "paying a fair share" has to do with a similar argument. Who benefits more from the existence of roads and infrastructure? Some who can't afford a car, or someone who owns a private jet? Who benefits more, the multinational industry transporting goods across the world or the homeless and unemployed? While the poor do benefit from infrastructure, the people at the top benefit more from it, not just from directly using it, but because it's existent produces and sustains more productive methods of manufacturing and educated, productive employees. If the government should operate like a business (like I have heard from so many of my conservative neighbors), then shouldn't the people who use the stuff the government produces pay for it? But no, they say this hypocritically, because they want more from the government, screw everyone else. Doesn't matter that the only conservative state in the United States that pays more to the U.S. Federal Government than it receives is Texas. No conservative actually wants the government to work like a business because the conservatives are the ones who stand to lose from that deal.

      "communism is the best idea and the best economic model ever created." Taking peoples property, and "sharing it" is the best idea to you? Because in order to share the wealth, you have to take it from someone who is doing well. Which in reality doesn't make everyone wealthy, it makes everyone poor. Meanwhile in those evil capitalist nations you have poor people with smartphones. Communism promises you everything, but gives you bread lines.
      "but that's socialism! not real communism!" Yes. yes it is socialism. No example of real communism has ever been achieved, nor ever will. As for socialism it works, but so does fascism, feudalism, monarchies, and theocracy. Here's the thing nobody in their right mind wishes to live under any of those systems unless they were born into them.
      I don't remember any socialist states being champions of human rights at any point in history. The flaw with it is they always devolve into totalitarian dictatorships (every "communist" nation), or the state itself is so fragile they are invaded by someone else. (read on the Spanish civil war and that whole mess of a place in history)
      "What about democratic socialism!" Venezuela is exactly that, and heading towards full military dictatorship. No.
      "Scandinavia is socialist!" They are social democrats. They respect private property rights, with a strong enough capitalistic economy to support welfare programs. That isn't socialism.
      The mythos of communism, and it's little brother socialism is honestly too pervasive in any debate about it, thus nobody gets anywhere with it when the socialist refuse to learn the lessons the real world has shown us about their system. They may have valid criticism of capitalism, but until they come up with something better which works i don't care.
      -lastly if i don't respond for a while apologies i don't get to respond to people much on here. Be patient i will eventually. :P Anyway hope you guys have a nice day or whatever.

      Until he started his "John Talks" videos, I'd forgotten that his Dublin City accent sat on top of an Ulster one.
      You can put the blame for how fast he talks on the latter accent, I'm thinking. City people speak faster, by and large.
