There are so many warm water locations that these foil boards are ideal for. What do they typically rent for? $150 per hour seems fair!!!
Please just find a way to make the price of entry into the sport more attainable, i want a foil so bad but god damnn....
Totally understand the frustration there, have you checked out the secondary markets? You can find really great deals on those. Here is a great group facebook.com/groups/375525827993516/. You can find some pretty sweet entry level boards even if they aren't Lift. We just love seeing people on the water.

I was wondering when something like this would come out. I kept thinking that a foam cover would be a great design for the wind profile, but this will have better secondary stability.

Does the 4'9'' also it also fit on a Lift 2 series sport 5'0''? Is there also a fitting blowfish for the Lift 2 series?
It is recommended for 4'9 and 5'4 version efoil's and newer.
We just got word and was tested and confirmed the 4'9 BF fits the Lift2 5'0 and the 5'4 BF fits the Lift2 5'6, more or less. It does requires the user to get crafty with the handle strap situation. Also the 4'9 Blowfish fits on a 4'2 with cutting back the mast area on the blowfish to fit on. Word is its Nick's favorite set up!
600$ is just insane.
