my dad had that exact model. i love them old bikes like that and the yamaha and Suzuki of them years were very well made and can run forever!
After owning this one, I can only see myself owning older bikes like this. New bikes have no character.
love this ive got this same exact bike and ima use your vidz on it for inspiration on making mine into a café racer
Blunt The Stunt that’s awesome man, thanks! That’s the very reason for me making the videos. There’s more on the way
I've got a 1981 KZ750 LTD. It's a beautiful bike but I think I'm gonna keep it a stock.
I do have an urge to make a project but I want to buy a worn down or crappier bike to build up.
Swervin Skirvin Definitely do that, I sometimes wish I didn’t mess with mine because it was in such good condition. But it was my first motor vehicle and I bought it with the plan to make it a café racer
Hey Will, Shawn Hash, Chattanooga TN. I've got the same bike ,it's probably my 30th bike ,I do alot of builds, sport bikes ,bobbers, cafe . I've done alit to mine already ,curious as to what the headlight issue was ,mine wasn't working and I assume it's the backup lighting system .I have a 2020 headlight assembly from a Yamaha Mt 7 and I just wired it straight with a switch ,works fine but thought I could save a little trouble if you knew what it was. Also have modern blinkers ,they were working when stock but now only running lights, I could hit and miss it all but thought I'd ask you. Also I seen a comment about backfire or popping , check your vacuum pump it's under the frame were tank goes ,I'm assuming you removed the hose to factory air box. It has alot to do with the popping .
When mine wasn’t working it was mainly because I had a faulty ground battery cable. Once I fixed that my electrical issues seemed to have gone away for a couple weeks. Also, if it’s LED’s you might need a transformer. After that, my bikes electrical decided to take a crap. I’m actually in the process now of buying the parts to redo the whole electrical system from scratch.
Your bike looks sick! Can’t wait to see the end result! I have the same one. Would you mind sharing what handlebars you have? Also what fuses did you get? Trying to switch to blade ones as well.
I have universal clip on bars from dime city cycles. Looking back I probably would get the more expensive ones considering the bolts hit my tank and actually dented it. For the fuses, you can get a fuse box from Amazon that can adapt your harness to blade fuses. I’ll be redoing my entire harness soon actually so everything will be new. Can’t wait🤙🏽
@@willemjorg Right on! Thanks for sharing. I’ll look into it.
YES!!!!
Johnny G thank you sir
Hey man I’ve got the same bike! I’m having a problem where I’m not getting any power at all when I turn the key. I’ve got a new battery and po said he had it running a few months ago. Any idea where I should start?
Check fuses, continuity, make sure connections are clean, etc. I don’t know too much about electrical yet so look up how to diagnose the problem from someone who does. In my case I had a massive short in the electrical so I will be rebuilding my harness soon. Might want to stay tuned for that video!
Is that X just tape on the headlight or is that something you can buy? I'm digging the look
Stefan S just some good o’l electrical tape
Your channel rocks
I really appreciate it!! 🤙🏽
@@willemjorg I just found it about two weeks ago and I have been looking at some of your videos
@@richardmoore3749 do you have the same motorcycle or anything?
@@willemjorg I do not have a cycle . I’ve been scared of motorcycles but I think bikers are really cool
@@richardmoore3749 well I hope you enjoy what I do on the channel !
Nice kz... Whar did you do with the seat...? Looks great....
Still have all the stock parts
Hey, what jets are you running in the carbs?
At the time of this video I’m assuming they were stock, when I put the pod filters on it would backfire on deceleration. I brought it to a shop to fix that but now it backfires on steady throttle. I think I might have to take them apart to check so I’m not sure right now.
@@willemjorg thanks for the reply 👍
The BS was minimal 😂 Wasn't bad...
I’m about to buy this bike and build it up I’m in nj the background looks familiar
Seth Remuszka This was filmed in Paramus but I’m from Bloomfield. What bike are you getting?
The same one in the video is it fast? I’m in nutley
Seth Remuszka if it’s your first bike it is fast enough to scare you at first but easy to get used to. Nowhere near as fast as a modern 750 cc bike. And for a café racer it’s the perfect size
Are you in nj?
yessir
Do you wear any leather biker jackets or Levi’s jeans in particular with your motorcycle??
Samantha Barton I have a leather motorcycle jacket which has shoulder, elbow, and back patting and I also have Kevlar lined motorcycle pants. They aren’t cheap but they’re necessary
Willem Jorgensen
Cool!
Can you do another bike video in the zipped up leather biker jacket and Levi’s jeans? Like a gear video... show full front and backsides as well
?????????
?????
You ruined a classic bike
It’s my bike and I’m able to do what I like with it. I’m just making the stock bikes more valuable
