1980 Kawasaki KZ750 LTD Café Racer Build Part 4: Clutch Replacement

In this video I replaced the clutch and clutch cable on my motorcycle. It was fairly easy and worked out well. The clutch lever feels much smoother compared to when I bought the bike. I bought the gasket and oil filter off amazon because i didn't see them on Bike Bandit at the time, the clutch plates from Bike Bandit, and don't forget to use the correct oil !! Must use wet clutch conventional oil, no synthetics and no normal oils. Let the clutch plates soak over night in the new oil, it says it on the back of the package, before installing. Get out there and fix your bikes! Hope you enjoy!

I don't have the spring on the Clutch cable on my kz750 ltd 1982, i checked on the diagram for the Clutch and i don't see any spring, i think somebody add the spring, my Clutch work perfectly without the spring so i think you don't need it

Hey man same bike! did you change triple tree clamps for those clip ons? or just switch out the standard bar clamps?

Justin Skoczylas all I did was loosen the triple tree clamps, bring the forks down about 2 inches and slide the clip on bars over the top of the fork legs. Then just slide the forks back to where they were.

Looking to get one of these bikes. Needs a oil pan gasket, carbs cleaned and a battery for $300? Any advice?

Haven't had to do any of that yet, sorry. I got my carbs rejeted and rebuilt at a shop since I didn't have a garage for my bike at the time.

charlton williams I bought mine a while ago but it was from bike bandit. I bought the motion pro clutch cable. What’s nice about their website is you put in the bike you have and they show you what fits. Makes searching very simple. Hope this helps.
