I’m with you on the fibreglass. Hate the stuff… sticks to everything except where I want it. I’ve just had a look at my suspension on my Locost and my shocks have the rod on the top and the spring only goes half way down the strut. I’ve not seen many builds that have full length springs like yours. Can’t post a photo in the comments so I hope my explanation comes across ok. You will be catching me up soon, I’ve been at it for almost 5 years now.
11:25 I thought the ice cream van had come round. I have restored a couple of fibreglass dinghies. Watching lots of vids on glassing I had become worried, as no one seemed to like doing it much, even some pros. I have to say I quite enjoyed it and was surprised it wasn't as bad as I thought. I use West Systems Epoxy. I note you mixed up small batches, which is good and you did as much as you needed on each application. So many people knocked up a huge amount that went off before they used it all, even if they needed that much to start with and made a right mess too. My let down is in using the filler to smooth out the top coat.
Are you planning IVA? If so it makes life easier to have bolts that are just about the right length, so the little plastic covers fit to cover the "sharp edges."

If you think that suspension setup is annoying, try a GBS
The clamshell will look great with a bit of filler and paint 😀

Also if you use allen "button head" bolts there are no edges.
Yep, and there is an exercise on that still to come..
How much wider than the rim are your front fenders? It's always good to see how you guy's are tackling things as I work through my Locost project.
I have an ench extra on the wings to the rims on it now. At a push those will cover 7" wide wheels
Are the shocks twin tube or monotube? Twin tube shock won’t worked inverted is my understanding.
Good point. No idea, lol
