How did you do the diff nose support? ended up welding a plate to the Diff casting and using a chassis mount to hold the diff at the right andle

Also, I made sure all chassis and drivetrain mounts are similar shore harness so one mount isn't taking significantly more vibration

cost me 250 usd to have just the one spot welded on. thankfully only that one bit that has the notch. would have been 500 for all 4

JR gets sometimes things wrong or perhaps more often. Had an Alfa Romeo GT and same discussions in the forums. Now years later working for a well known garage brand I have learned that some parts need to be ordered from main dealer only. Those ones from Eurocarparts etc doesn’t fit. We had 2 weeks ago a set of rear coil springs for a Q7 which didn’t fit and a radiator for a Mini to return because they won’t fit. But I can feel your pain

Have you looked at speeduino for an aftermarket ecu? I built one a few years ago and got an e30 325i running on it. Took a few hours of soldering and a crash course on tunerstudio but it’s a very cheap good option.

Great video as always mate. I’ve recently found similar with my car, fully soft of the MeisterRs is the way to go, wee bit more tyre pressure in the rear, but not crazy. Drives so much more predictably.

Brilliant video and great outcome to the testing. I remember this being an eternal question in motor racing, 'how quick would driver A be if he was in driver B's car'. But it's not just that, your thoughts on the SC MX5 being much softer and more predictable is also really informative. I'm looking forward to you lifting the title in the Locost!

@@ToolsnTrack Polybush is a specific brand that manufactures high-quality polyurethane suspension bushes. We’ve been in the game for a while, and our products are known for their durability, performance, and the range we offer - from classic cars to the latest performance models, including Land Rovers. When you mention "Polybush," you’re referring to our brand and not the general type of material used in suspension bushes. Why Powerflex Bushes Aren't Polybush Powerflex is another respected brand in the polyurethane bushes market. While both Polybush and Powerflex produce polyurethane bushes, they are distinct in their formulations, designs, and applications. Here are a few key differences: Material Composition: Each brand has its proprietary mix of polyurethane. This affects the hardness (durometer), flexibility, and overall performance of the bushes. Design and Engineering: The design philosophy and engineering behind the bushes can vary significantly. Polybush focuses on producing bushes that balance comfort and performance, whereas Powerflex may prioritize different aspects, like increased rigidity for track performance. Applications and Fitment: Polybush and Powerflex bushes might have different fitment specifications for the same vehicle model. This can impact installation and performance. Customer Service and Support: Each brand has its own approach to customer service, support, and warranty, which can influence the overall user experience. Why This Matters Using "Polybush" as a generic term could confuse your audience, lead to trademark issues, and doesn't give credit to the distinct qualities each brand offers. It’s like calling all sticky notes "Post-it notes" - it’s common, but not accurate. What to Do Instead To keep your content accurate and avoid any potential legal hiccups, refer to the bushes by their correct brand names. If you're showcasing or comparing different brands, highlight what makes each unique. For instance, you could say: "In this video, we’re looking at polyurethane bushes from Powerflex. Remember, these aren’t Polybushes - Polybush is a different brand with its own unique qualities and products." I hope this helps clarify things! If you have any more questions about Polybush bushes, feel free to reach out. Cheers!

Im not a welder, so very possibly im talking crap...but, i wander if making a former around the port with clay or something to stop the molten ally rolling off, might save a few rods and maybe some time buildingup to the required level. Would have to be careful not to contaminate the weld surface though i suppose.
