Well maybe that's before they started digging them up and doing carbon dating and study their findings. The bible was written at a time that people didn't have the ability to understand the world we live in. We always evolve and learn new things about our world and universe. Thousands of years from now we will be the cave men in hindsight

Ironically, it is science that made me go from an agnostic to a believer. Nature is so logical and well thought out. The same mathematical rules, laws of physics, chemical compositions... applies across the entire spectrum.
Who could have thought it out so to the smallest detail if not the perfect engineer? 😏
What reinforced my belief is when i studied anatomy and physiology, the complexity of the human body is just so fantastic I cannot believe that it just happened by 'chance'.

I am completely aligned with his viewpoints, however, due to a set of experiences I had at ages 4-5 (some would say a horrific experiences) I have come to know Jesus Christ as my savior, and, the only entity that stands by and protects and guides my hands. To turn to Him is just silently ingrained in my nature. I don’t think I could begin to describe the integration, but, if it would leave me, I would become lost and certainly die.

When we see a house, how do we know that that house was built by a human being and didn't just accidentally "happen by chance"? It's obvious isn't it? The signs of design and order are everywhere... how much more so the earth and creation. Its screams of design and a designer, yet some people seem to be deaf to it!
I'm not arguing that there isn't a designer...I just don't believe the designer loves us or cares about us. I know it's nice to believe it does but imo there's not much evidence of this, in fact there's plenty of evidence to the contrary. This creator is, imo, unworthy of worship.

Elon's answers are honest. He's read much about religion looking for answers and didn't latch on to one view to satisfy and impress others. I respect that.
It sounds like Elon read the Bible as a child. A child wouldn't have the cultural or contextual understanding that an older person who "studies" the passages to understand their true significance.
I disagree when he says science and religion cannot coexist. Religion by its definition falls outside the boundary of science and they deal with different purposes.

A lot of people "claim" to be Christian and commit heinous acts. But were those heinous acts in line with the teachings of Jesus? Did Jesus ever say it was okay to do those things? No. So were they really Christians in the first place? In that sense maybe it was the lack of religion that damages this planet

The inability to conclude, something due to the inability to gather the necessary data, or answer a question before humanity is prepared to ask a question should not be a mean(s) by which humanity should stop moving forward regardless of how much your complex fear are of what is out there in the after life. I am agnostic and due to fears INSTILLED AND TAUGH in me and PERSONALLY LEARNED AND EXPERIENCED I still pray. However, the time is coming or will come when the curtains of fear will lift and the need to ask or NEED will cease to exist along with all that it has created upto that point.
I have never heard of this man until sometime last year when I did a college assignment for school on people who are great leaders. I chose to write about him when I read about him on Google and I immediately admired his leadership skills. Ever since I wrote that, I’ve been seeing his name pop up literally everywhere! I’ve been following him ever since. The more I see of him, the more I respect this man.

Science is a religion. They teach theories as facts now, it's so far from science it's laughable.

I reckon that there is some form of being or consciousness living on there above our understanding and our limits, because there are so many things that have happened and have no explanation. I could be dead by now and I am alive, nevertheless I don't believe in any sacred book or religion, but I do think that there is something more powerful than us lurking in the universe.
Elon’s answers were amazing. I think the video would have been a lot more inspiring if there were more of Elon’s own words in the interview and less of the producer of the video telling us what he thinks Elon believes. I totally understand what Elon is saying and it resonates with me. Beautiful words sadly misunderstood by some. Truly an enlightened man.

Since Elon Musk says love is necessary to him for happiness, both love of work and personal love, he certainly does have a spiritual life. A lot of people espouse a religious belief, but have no idea that love is the basis for our human connection with each other and all forms of life.
Agreed, but I don't think we need to synonomously equate love with "spiritual". It's love...and love is demonstrable. "Spirit" is just a magical word with religious overtones that cannot be demonstrated. Things like love, compassion and empathy are drummed into us by evolution for survival purposes. It's that simple.

The Purpose of life is exactly that, to keep seeking and discovering its purposes. The Purpose of all religions is to awaken the minds to the positive potential of the universe, to allow that original thought, that first question giving direction toward one of life's purposes and to motivate to believe in that direction one chose until one understands how it can be done. As does a medical scientist finding a cure for an illness, as does an engineer creating a transport system to interplanetary travel. Everything starts with a single thought, a question, a choice and the belief to pursue that purpose until it is achieved.
How the universe originated? ... I truly do not know 🤔 but it is definitely amazing!

It is impossible to rightly understand the universe without FIRST knowing it’s CREATOR. In my personal opinion he is like someone whom has opened up something but yet does not understand the instructions to properly operate in such. Genius is an objective word.

Elon is a fellow at the Royal Society in London, he is extreme science leaning, the guy is all about common sense logic, figuring stuff out, solving problems, very common trait in scientific thinking. He could easily lead the US as president and fix its many problems. The guy is genius in the most simple effective way. I used to work for the Royal Society in London, and have seen first hand ppl like Elon are nuts about science and solving stuff everything related to the universe, the world, our lives etc. Generally science innovators or science leaning are not very Godly either.

What's your point in quoting from a work of fiction? I say fiction because the collection contains too much inaccuracy to be anything else but. Who wrote the book called "Mark" and when was it written? We don't know who or when. Both are guesses.
The book I use as a rule and guide to my faith and practice teaches us to let each man work out his own salvation.
Elon's talent is to use the laws of physics, and yet he wouldn't say whether there is a creator to these laws. Science is the proof that G-d exists, and it goes very well along with religion. I wish I could explain that to him in a 10 min conversation. He is honest and he would admit quickly

I believe that every particle in the universe obeys the laws of Physics but at the same time the existence of the universe with out Creator does not make any sense to me. But when I think about cosmic creator, the thing which confuses me the most is where did such cosmic creator come from.

Elon Musk is stunningly brilliant...not only in physics and engineering, but in any subject at all that he has ever been questioned about! It's absolutely amazing. He is a dichotomy in that respect as he has a child like love of human beings (which I never did...lol) and of the universe.

The most important thing to remember is that the conception of knowledge (Al-Ilm) in Islam is the Guiding Light (Huda) separating right from wrong (Al furqan). Therefore, in the same way the sun brings light to our eyes to see the world around us, Al-Ilm is the source of guidance to see the signs of Allah (SWT) around us.

Science and religion are very different. Science tells us what the world around us is, but religion tells us how to live. There is no science on how to live life because right and wrong are moral judgments that science can't help us with. We need both

It depends on the religion though too because some religions promote chaos. Every civilization has always had some form of religion.
