How I've missed Dana Winner all these years I'll never know. I love good music and just randomly stumbled across one of her videos here on UA-cam. I literally could not stop listening to her. Dana has a voice that I think is unmatched in the world. It's almost as if she's some mystical song bird the way her voice quivers in perfect pitch. I think to myself...how does she do that! God definitely gave her a unique and wonderful voice to share with the world, and she sings in more than one language, not easy. Oh, did I mention she is a strikingly beautiful woman too!
The song does lend itself to clarity in diction and Dana is actually superb in this. In other interpretations I find her to be a little over precise and it sometimes works against the emotional charge of the song. Being non-native, she cannot get things like the schwa quite right, nor the sentence stress. That said, I cannot take my eyes or ears off her.
The more I hear this beautiful woman share her great singing talent with the music world the more I want to hear her. Discovered Dana about a year ago and am so happy I am able to listen to the wonderful singing talent she shares with us all.

I had to comment again. I have passed this song around to my friends. This has to go down as one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. It's a great song to start with both in the melody and lyrics. It's the touching story of an artistic genius with a tortured soul. The painting "Starry Night" by Van Gogh is considered to be one of the worlds greatest works of art. Sadly, he painted it while looking thru the bars of his asylum window, poor and destitute, virtually unknown while he was alive. Dana took on this song and performed it with such feeling, voice, and clarity that it stirs the soul. An unbelievably beautiful song, sung by an equally unbelievable talented singer.

I've never heard anyone use the English language the way you do. Your diction is consummately elegant.
