  • In 2021 there are so many different options when it comes to buying a new GPU. But the fundamental problem comes down to stock of cards.
    As GPU's start to become available for consumers to buy them many questions are being raised on which GPU you should buy.
    Today we take a look at a potential candidate and go over the reason why you would be interested in an RTX 3070 GPU.

    Liked the video. I've got this card. I agree with you. 3070 isn't a bad card but if you can get your hands on 3080 that's even better but you will not be disappointed with a 3070 card.

    I'm new to pc gaming. I just purchased a prebuild with this graphics card. Since it comes over clocked do I need to go into the bios adjust it or am I good the way it comes?

      Hey Mel my oppinon on it is start of using the card as it come, if you start to feel like you don't have enough FPS, then maybe look at tweaking it.
      But you will be fine using our of the box!

    Got this exact card a couple of weeks back! So far, it's been great: Doom Eternal runs with all settings maxed out at 4k at ~70-90fps except I had to set texture buffer to "Ultra", because the higher settings won't fit into 8GB gram but I honestly don't see the difference. Interestingly, the biggest problem I'm facing is either buggy drivers or buggy game: the game starts off at 10 fps (even in the menus!) but then if I change settings to "low", hit Apply, wait 10s, and then back to "Ultra Nightmare", then hit Apply, it jumps back to high FPS. Weird!

    I got one in December and I love it, Now I wish I had got 2 of them as my other machine is sat there with a empty slot. The X2 for me with a slight under clock is super quiet and runs at around 65C when gaming.

      @FLexxz Fitness Hello, I used advice from Optimum Tech you tube channel and some reedit posts. It was trial and error with testing playing my Fav games while keeping an eye on temps with MSI afterburners OSD software. I have the terrible Alienware Aurora R9 so I really had to look hard at how to increase the performance while keeping a good thermals.

    Hey nice vid!just bought this same card for my first build paired with a 3600, coming from playing on console,cod switch PC so I did to. Mine coming in the mail for tomorrow I was wondering how your temp are with this card?

      @@blackcan1542 not at all it isn't even a bottleneck with a 3080, 3600 is a beast ahahah

      Hey pierre-alexandre piche I am glad that you liked the video.
      In regards to Temps unless your case has little to no air flow you really won't have to worry about overheating.
      Also IMO I think the 3600 is a fantastic pairing. because you have a solid platform in term of the chip-set. Plus the 3600 is a great CPU and has a fair bit of capability outside of gaming.
      I think as a first build you have really set yourself up well and if I could go back to my first build I would do something similar.

    I have this card and while playing League of Legends it dips about 1-3 times per game, from 144FPS to about 120-130FPS, for a split second, which is very annoying. Any ideas as to why it does that?? All drivers have been updated. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled them.

    • @ARTala88
      @ARTala88 2 роки тому +1

      Thats no extreme dips and its normal too have it like that. Many times its the temperature that is downclocking the card. Dips with 20 fps difference is nothing though. I have the same card. Try msi efterburner and monitoring with the temps on screen

    • @fred_2021
      @fred_2021 2 роки тому +2

      Wish I had a card that 'dipped' to 120fps. Won't be long though. It's Apr 2022, and prices have started to drop.

    Upgrading to this GPU from a RX 570 8gb, but paying $1000 for it.
    Then throwing on a waterblock since the case has low airflow and cramped space for everything else.

    My Lenovo Legion T5 26AMR5 desktop came with this MSI 3070 card. Works well. Keeps cool when running gta5 online 1440 res av.fps norm. avringe about 160 -200. Right now it`s max is below 60 degrees celsius while gaming, with a small undervolt of gpu and gpu fans not ned to go higher then 50%. Stock Volt it sits at 60 degrees celsius is still with short temp. spike at 64 deg.cels. The only downside i could fine is noise level if fans have to run at high RPM. I don`t know how well this keeps against other 3070 gpu`s

    I have a 1070ti I got for something like $300 on CL roughly 2019, and the rig it's now in is a 2 year old Ryzen 3600 build. I will upgrade to a 3070 or maybe a 6700XT when I can get it at MSRP

      Just went from a 1070ti to this card for about $20 over MSRP and it’s a great card. Installation was easy and my games definitely run with higher fps and ray tracing is amazing! If you can get it near msrp it’s worth it.

    The RTX 3070 VENTUS 2X does have a MSRP of $500.00 but you unboxed a RTX 3070 VENTUS 2X OC that list for $730.00. To the lay person, this equates to $230.00 for a guaranteed overclock from the factory due to a practice called binning. Because of this you can not buy the base card and overclock it yourself to mach the performance.
    Side note: FE cards meet MSRP because they are not binned.
