You've got a little ocd baby on your hands! Haha worrying about the shoe on the floor in her room for her whole nap and trying to keep the pens tidy and then taking the trash to the bin by herself! She has so much personality! What a little sweetie!
LOVE the sensory board idea! It would also be cool to go over the back with chalkboard paint so she could draw on the back!
This was such a perfect project for you Cullen, you're so naturally creative. You only have to look at your target ball photos to see how much you look outside of the box. The wonderful thing about sensory boards is they can grow with age, & actually become goal or 'wish / dream' boards, where you can do them together or make the basis for her when she's older & she can pop the pictures on herself (what she'd like to achieve that year - her dreams, etc). It's a wonderful parent / child project.
When I was studying childcare in college (2002....!!) I had to do a board around twice that size, but mine was for an entire room of children, it was a sensory board! No where near as elaborate as we had to use basic materials within our classroom, but I loved it. I love creating things! Lots of bright colours, lots of different textures. Yours is wonderful & I know Gaines will enjoy it for years to come! Well done xx

Exactly. Just look at Ollie vs. MG. Ollie is nearly 3 and can't say 90% of the words MG can say. What little he does say is simply parroting what his parents say.

one all children "parrot" thier parents that's how they learn two every child learns at different speeds the Dr said in an early video that she is advance for her age there is nothing wrong with ollies development with words
That's so cool how different areas call the same thing different names. I've heard mixing sodas as different names, but not suicide. I grew up with it as a graveyard, but I've also heard swamp water.

There are blog posts on Pinterest that show you how to make a little garden box with soil and vegetables and little signs all made out of felt! I think it would be super cute for Gaines to learn how to grow her own little pretend garden!
