Just a suggestion, when I named my kids I yelled their name to see if it flowed good, before I decided on one.

I thought I was the only weird one who done that. But it works my kids names go great together. Maggie and Gage. Which now it's Sissy and Bubba. Lol. Because that's what they call each other so that's what we call them too.

Hey Cullen! We recently picked up these little claw caps (soft paws claw covers) for our kitty that have really helped her bad habits. You trim your cat's claws, and then these little caps slide right over their claws like little hats, and they stay there for between 4-6 weeks. The best part is she still keeps her habits the same, they don't hurt her, she's still playful as ever, she just happens to have little covers over her claws that keep our carpet intact. Maybe that's something you could look into?
Can't wait to find out what name y'all decide on! I know whatever you choose it will be a perfect fit for the little dude!

There is little caps you can get for the cats nails so they can't scratch. You can even get them coloured so it's like they have painted nails.

hey guys!! one thing I've learned about cats after having so many is that they love to scratch! I've found it helps to have those cardboard scratchers in each room or in places where they tend to scratch, like your chairs or near couches. I've tried the tape, catnip spray to distract, and the water gun but the posts are the only thing that has worked for me! hope that helps! love ya'll!!

Nail caps work wonders I've used it for both of my cats who used to do that to the couches and they don't ruin the couches when they scratch them!

Boy names were so hard for us to choose. We both didn't agree. Even the name we choose I wasn't to keen on but when he was born he looked just like it.

Hi Cullen and Katie ! My cats do the same thing to my furniture, Pinterest says that cats claws sides of furniture as a way stretch their shoulder muscles! One way to prevent that is to wrap Saran Wrap around your chairs! 😘😉
My husband and I changed our daughters name about 3 times before she was born and then decided on a different spelling right when she was born! Can't wait for the name reveal!

I know how it feels to have people ask you over and over again what the name is? I just had my daughter 3 days ago ND it took us just about the whole pregnancy to pick out the perfect name. It will come to you both. Can't wait to see your precious little boy!!

I spray odor ban where my cats like to scratch. Maybe it's the scent on the chairs that brings the cats to the chair.

My cat is deathly afraid of drywall sandpaper- the black type. It "grabs" onto things that touch it and that totally freaks her out. We just put a small piece in the area of something we don't want her near and it works like a charm. We always put some under the Christmas tree and our cat avoids it like the plague!
Cullen and Katie, soft paws are amazing to prevent scratching. Also, put a scratch post right where they're scratching and they shouldn't.
I like the name Bentley and calling him Ben for short. Macey Gaines and Bentley sounds so good!! Love you guys!!!💖💙💙
I took a Phlebotomy class a couple of years ago. Katie, deep veins can be hard to find but the person who taught us said never to dig for a vein like that. You are supposed to be able to feel the vein with your finger before sticking someone.
Cullen, one thing I learned in class was not to bend my arm up after blood has been drawn. You are supposed to keep it straight & keep pressure on it for up to 5 minutes. The bleeding should be done by then. Something about folding your arm up, like most of them tell you to do, can cause the bruising like that.
I was good at it in training but decided I didn't like poking others with needles afterall. :P
We had a huge problem with our cats clawing our furniture and then we got a scratching board (not a post but one that lays flat on the floor) and put it next to the couch and they scratch on it instead now. Try putting one out near the furniture they scratch!
my friend's name is Marilyn and her husband is Stanley, they combined the ends if their names and came up with Lynley!! I love it

Gunner would be a cute name-Gaines & Gunner. (Nikki Sixx has a son named Gunner and there is Gunnar Nelson from the Nelson twins too) Hunter is cute too, but it's a pretty popular name.

for the cats you can get little caps for their nails and it comes with glue to put on them and they come in different colors we use them for my cat he used to do the same thing to our chairs
Try claw caps! They're rubber caps you glue on and they fall off as the nail grows out. My brother's destructo cat wears them and they work really well.

We've tried everything with our Cats... The only thing that really worked was an air can... The kind that just shoots compressed air to clean your computer keyboard? When you catch them scratching, spray the can... not at them, it's just the noise that scares them. Worth a try! ;)
Something that works are these little nails you can buy at like petsmart and you can buy them in clear or different colors but you have the nails in your cats size and you put adhesive inside of them and put them on your cats nails. If you do try this make sure your cats nails are trimmed. I know this works because my besfriend cat has them! Hope this helps!!
You should name him Levi. If I had a boy I would name him Levi. But, I had a girl and named her Bethany.
If you can put up with it, cats don't like the smell of oranges. We always have to spray our christmas tree to keep our cat off :) Hope it helps.
Gaines is getting cuter and cuter everyday! She is so smart. I think her brother should be named Miles, Hudson, Evan, Sawyer, Camden or Declan.

My husband and I just went through the same thing with our 1 month old son. We finally settled on a name but it took until we were nearly discharged from the hospital!

With my first baby my sister always told me to yell the full baby name as if they were in trouble to see how it fits. I says to that but also yell MGs name to see how they sound together
I have always liked the names Darrow and Hektor. Tristan is a beautiful name too.
The same thing happened to me about a year ago with drawing blood. They couldn't find my vein and they had to bring in another person to try it. And then when they finally got it, I nearly passed out and they had to lay me down and give me juice and everything. That has been the only time that has ever happened to me.
Try getting more scratcher posts and toys, I have two kitties and they scratch on their cat tree plus a scratch post and 3 other toys I have for them around our house just having lots of options for them besides the furniture also clipping their claws regularly so they're not so sharp so even if they do scratch furniture it will be minimal :)

Cullen, our cat (8 months old black cat) loves to scratch but has finally learned not to scratch certain things like our couch and our front door rug. Lol. We bought some no scratch spray (from PetSmart). Worked like a charm!! He doesn't really do it anymore but we still spray around certain things if we decide to lol. Don't worry your cats will learn not to. The water gun is awesome as well we also do that lol.

Use bitter Apple spray. You can get it on Amazon for 10 dollars. You spray it on the thing that you don't want them to chew on like your chair and when they lick, chew or bite it they will leave it alone because of the taste! Like this comment so Cullen and Katie can see this!
