Crayons will clog the wick. They aren’t just made from paraffin wax. There are pigments added to them that do not work in candles. Those pigments are not oil soluble which means it will not mix with the oil. I have been making candles since 2006. Save your money and just get some liquid candle dye or candle wax dye blocks from a local craft store. They are not that expensive. Don’t waste your money on making a candle that will not burn.

This was great, been searching for "how to make rolled beeswax candles" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Peyaniel Psychological Predominance - (do a search on google ) ? It is an awesome one off guide for discovering the trick to be a candle maker for profit minus the normal expense. Ive heard some super things about it and my work buddy got amazing success with it.

Pure block candle
DO NOT USE CRAYONS IN CANDLES. They clog up the wicks, change the fragrance, and interfere with the melting of the wax.
Do not use essential oils in candles. They will barely smell, and many of them don't mix well with wax if they are alcohol and water based.
Why'd you use paraffin wax in a jar? Definitely doable, but it's such a waste. Paraffin is best for candle sticks. Soy is better for jars. Otherwise, good technique.
