Paul says, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your HEART that God raised Him from the dead. You shall be SAVED!!! It is only through Jesus Christ that we are saved and not of our works!!! Jesus said through men this is impossible but through God all things are possible. Believe on the Son of God!!!
You cannot lose your salvation. When you put your full trust in Jesus Christ on the finish work that He did on the cross of Calvary by paying the admission of our sins past, present, and future. When you put your full trust in Jesus Christ, you are sealed, you are saved till the day of redemption!!! I'm not going to sugarcoat it, the Holy Bible is against homosexuality, it's against getting drunk, it's against doing drugs, it's against harming your body!!!
But through God's grace, through Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father!!! This cannot be by force or manipulation but by a willing HEART and God draws any person who was willing in their HEART to accept His Son as their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by putting their full trust in Him!!! Repent!!! That means turning away from your sinful lifestyle!!! The things that do not glorify God. Come to God with open arms and because if anyone is willing, God will draw that person to His Son. Repenting does not mean asking for forgiveness, but Allowing God to have grace and mercy on you. And if you turn from the things that are temporary that do not glorify God and search for the things that are Eternal that glorify God. When I asked Jesus to forgive me, it has nothing to do with my salvation, but I ask in remembrance and honor of what He did for me on the cross of calvary!!!
The sinner's prayer doesn't save you, but only through the grace of God, through His Son Jesus Christ can save you!!! But turn away from your sins and come to God with open arms. And God will have mercy on you.

This interview felt as if Piers was "out to get him", like he was ready to pounce on him, bait him and catch him at a wrong statement. This felt similar to how the Pharisees back then would ask Jesus a theoretical question and then try to trap him into saying something wrong. But I commend Pastor Rick for staying cool and yet not standing down. He stayed his ground and defended his belief, not being swayed by the host's domineering attitude and just clearly stated his position. God bless you, Pastor Rick! I'm a Catholic and I appreciate your strong yet respectful conviction!

Do and believe this and your name will be written down in the LAMBS Book Of Life forever and you will never go to that place called hell. Also GOD will not force you to worship HIM, HE commands you to do this and obey HIS Commandments. However GOD will allow you to do as you choose as HE already sent HIS SON to die for your sins. That includes JESUS CHRIST. JESUS will not force you to come to HIM nor will HE force you to believe in HIM. HE already suffered and died for you. You must make up your mind as to what you want to do. I say this, you would be better off believing GOD is real and JESUS did all these things for you and be forgiven of your sins and dying or being Raptured out and going to Heaven, than dying or being left behind with satan and his followers and then finding out you were wrong or listened to the wrong people and now your time spent in eternity will be in the Hell Fires forever and forever! I hope you will reconsider your thinking before it I too late. Read GODS Word and you will see that back in the Old Testament and New Testament many things were predicted would happen before JESUS returned for HIS Bride, The Church. JESUS said in the last days there would be earthquakes in diverse places and if you have heard the news you see there are earthquakes happening around the world everyday and there were 54 of these in one day and many were in areas that had never ever had a earthquake. HE said there would be wars and rumors of wars, famine and pestilence and all of these are now happening all over the world. The Jews do not believe JESUS is their MASIAH, but a real old Rabbi said a few weeks back that JESUS was coming soon and a date was 12 Sept 15. Who knows what day or time, only The FATHER knows. How can you know there is such a god as the one you're describing or that he's your god? How do you know your god exactly like you're describing him and that's not just the way he's pretending to be (if he exists, that is)? Believers think that just by defining their god as good and moral that's the god that exists. But it doesn't work like that. You can define your god the way you want. But that doesn't make him true or worth obeying. My question was more like: if there was a god, how could you know he's moral and not simply claiming to be moral? How can you tell a moral god from an evil god? Morality is not such simply because there's someone claiming to be a god and a moral one. What standard of morality do you use in order to get to the conclusion that your god is a moral one and not an immoral one? What standard of morality do you use to determine the Bible is a moral book and not an immoral one?

The Bible says that anyone who has believed ON Jesus for salvation does not come under judgement but has passed from death on to life. And that God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whoever believe in Him shall NOT PERISH but have everlasting life! It doesn’t get any simpler than that folks, which is why the Bible tells us not to forget the simplicity we have in Christ. Nobody seems to understand what true repentance is, the repentance unto salvation. It is not a turning from sin, it is a change of mind from trusting in our works to trusting 100% in Christ for our salvation! Sad news is most so called Christians haven’t repented, therefore they haven’t received Christ’s imputed righteousness, they still remain under the law, in which no flesh shall be justified. That’s why the people who came to heaven boasting about their works didn’t get in, because they hadn’t fully trusted in Jesus, therefore were lawless, because their own righteousness is as filthy rags. If you have never believed this, you haven’t been saved. If you once believed this, but no longer do, you are being deceived. There is a HUGE difference between the punishment for sins and hell. Got chastens His children, He doesn’t burn them. But those who believe that simply placing your trust in Christ isn’t enough, then they are condemning themselves because none of us can live up to the law.

Brandon Gray I don’t know what to tell ya man, I really don’t. :( I struggle with same sex attraction too. But I am also a Christian. Deep down I feel like somewhere along the line, people got the teachings wrong, but I will never know for sure, so I, as well as many other Christians are afraid to step out of the lines of what we have been taught, in fear of corrupting God’s word. Because IF the traditional teaching/ understanding is true, and I choose to believe otherwise, I corrupt God’s word by saying that two men loving each other is equal to a man and woman loving each other. It seems very confusing to me, but I’m not God. The only advice I can give you is to put all your trust in Christ, because in the end, your faith is going to save you, no matter how bad you’ve been. Jesus doesn’t forsake His children. But He does chasten those who make their lives into constant sin. Ask God about it, but be prepared for the answer. And be sure you know the answer is from God, and whatever He tells you, that will be your answer. :) Peace, and good luck! God loves you, no matter how broken, sinful, or depressed you may be. I will say from experience that Rick Warren and his church members are the most gracious, accepting people you would ever want to meet.
They will not beat you over the head with their Bibles. They will not give you lip service. They see everyone as a person God created and loves.
I worked behind the scenes for three years. This is where you’d see the flaws. I have no such story to tell.
I have had to move away from the area.
I miss them and will always be grateful for the pleasure of worshiping and working alongside them in the community.

I will share something w/u and all of the other people..there is a very old catholic prophecy...one of the 1st that I am aware of within Christianity to put this religion to the test.. Its called the "prophecy of malachi" We are in the endtimes and the last pope according to this prophecy...if it wasn't enough the spirit that lives in me confirm this... so why do you think its so interesting that the demonic spirit living in you want people to believe that God all of a sudden changed his mind and thinks that its ok to fornicate, lust. Even when the false prophet (francis) ok's homosexuality this doesn't make it right. No one should be deceived by you...using the suicide story..if you have verse in scripture you would know that is also forbidden within Christianity to commit such an act. In fact, most churches do. Where is "divorce" and "remarriage" mentioned in the "original definition of marriage"? Why not? We have been changing the definition of marriage, since the institution was invented. If you are so hung up on "original definitions, then you must believe marriage should ONLY be defined in these terms simply because it is one of the oldest definitions.
Marriage- "1 man or 1 woman chosen by your parents (or pre-arranaged) of the same race and religion for life with no possibility of divorce, regardless of whether or not they are violent." So unless you follow that definition and that definition only, don't preach to me about never changing definitions. Furthermore, why can't a word's definition ever be changed? Old Testament history is history to be observed and acknowledged, the Ten Commandements are still Commandements put in place by God and in the New Testament two commandments are placed in priority of all, "To love the Lord your God with all your heart mind and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself."Loving, again does not mean "changing" what God sees as of His design and purpose and not of his design and purpose. Amongst other sins, homosexuality and same sex marriage is not of God's design.
If the question of equality poses or demands respect, what can man say of respect for what God has created as His purpose for Man and Woman to be in union? Piers comments about the Bible's Old Testiment practice of condemnation for breaking the Law by stoning is that of the Old Testament. Christians wouldn't even think of that practice. He does not understand the important of distinction between Old Testament and what Jesus has done in the New Testament starting from Matthew. The statement that Pierce makes saying the Bible is too old for our modern world practices is only half observed. I think the reason why people may be confused about what to believe or practice in the Bible is because we are missing the Holy Spirit , the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior who brings the promise of a new life and the Promise of the Holy Spirit. How can a person fully say they understand the aspects of the bible without this very vital part of the Trinity who is responsible for correcting our thoughts and guiding us into all truth?
