How to Build an Online Community and OWN IT!

  • Building an online community won't work if you use Facebook and Twitter as your home base because they aren't platforms you can control long-term. In this video we share some reliable ways to build a community that you can control.
    Project 24 is a product of Income School LLC. Results mentioned are not typical. The trademark “Project 24” refers to the goal of some people to create a successful business in 24 months, but is not a promise or guarantee of that success. Many online businesses fail because, like any business, it requires hard work, skill, and dedication. Before making business decisions, consult financial and legal professionals licensed in your jurisdiction.

My question is does anyone know if you can steal the snippet for a search term that already has one or can you only get one if the term doesn’t already have one? If you can steal them away any idea what it will take?

    Hi guys, I really love the work you are doing. I have been watching your videos over the past 2 days almost non-stop. My only question is how do you take the same approach from South Africa. At this stage we are veeeeery far behind on affiliate programs. Our biggest online store compared to Amazon is TakeALot, and they have stated they will not be doing an affiliate program due to the smaller market share they have. Amazon does not deliver to South Africa. Should I be catering for the American market then?

    • @IncomeSchool
      @IncomeSchool  5 років тому

      That's what I would do. The American market has a ton of affiliate programs and advertisers willing to pay. Even just targeting the English speaking market in general will work just fine too. Just don't pick something that only make sense for South Africa.

It's been a month with over 8000 traffic and I have only mange to get 20 clicks and 3$ earnings. Please help me to know what to do. My niche is gaming. And I am using plugin for ads placement.

    how come one of my articles is ranking really well? but everything else does nothing. i have 53 articles, and am seeing like 3000 page views a month, but the topic they're coming to the site for is not interested amazon buyers. I have been trying everythign you guys recommend, the only thing I haven't done is spent any money on project 24.I wanted to see if I could make enough profit from my site before spending it on project 24. I have foodica theme, a niche that has plenty of products, and am an amazon affiliate. so far $9 in amazon fees.

    Awesome video. I'm just starting to use Reddit. I would love it if you made a video specifically about using Reddit, as a blogger. I agree about Pinterest. It's my top traffic source, but not really a community. I think people tend to use it in conjunction with Instagram, because Pinterest is great for sharing links, and Instagram for community. Pinterest has little community, and Instagram is not good for links.

  • @sunilmali9940
    @sunilmali9940 5 років тому

    You forget about one thing and it's building a "Brand" in your every niche website.
    No need to build community or collecting emails, forwarding them on Fb, Insta, and twitter, these ways are just for notifying people of your new post and people are not always there to receive it or may be that time they don't have time to read it and later they also forget to go check it out.
    But if you have brand or you are known to them by your super content, they will come back to your site by typing your website brand name on Google or searching on YT if your have YT CHANNEL.
    If you are master in that niche people will also follow you, you will not need to force them to follow you.. right?
    For example: No matter how big UA-cam is but if someone watches your video once then he will come to your channel again for future videos or more info on building niche websites..that's called royal community and I am one of them, I watch every single video of yours for bettering my knowledge about Niche websites or for something new to learn.

    I'm shocked you guys didn't mention the buddypress plugin. It's not the best but it's free and you can build a community on your site with it. Another thing people should know is if you're planning to build a community on your site your shared blue host package won't cut it. You'll need to get a VPN which costs quite a bit more than a shared server but you can get some discounts--I personally used knownhost. The reality is building a community is an expensive and time consuming process. You'll basically turn into a baby sitter for adults dealing with peoples' online arguments and spam from other marketers trying to use your platform for free. If I were to do a community again it would be a paid community like income school as making people actually pay to join eliminates a lot of the problems I mentioned. That being said you need to have a stellar product/service if you expect people to pay to join a community online.

    • @IncomeSchool
      @IncomeSchool  5 років тому

      You can host your community on a separate hosting package, which is what we do. I wouldn't host a community on a cheap shared hosting platform, I totally agree.

    I've been working pretty diligently at building up a few social media accounts and after having put in the time and followed instructions on how to gain followers, from the usual suspects, I was beginning to get the exact feeling that's being conveyed in this video.
    2700 followers on Instagram, in a few months and more or less crickets.
    Pinterest seems more like a image hording site, with very little, if any engagement.
    Twitter brings to mind standing in a room with countless people with ADHD, shouting random statements, in the hopes that someone repeats what they're saying. And, I can't get passed how politicized and polarized it is. No thanks.
    Facebook? No comment.
    When I've been active on Reddit, I've seen some really decent to really surprising, long lasting residual traffic come from posting on there, with relatively limited effort. The trouble I've encountered on reddit it, the rules on other subreddits can be absolutely arbitrary and make breaking into a post, difficult. Unless what you're saying meets 150+/- random criteria. Otherwise, get a message from a bot informing you that your post didn't meet the rules of the moderator. So, you end up having to read and become familiar with all of the rules of everyone of the subs that might be relevant to what you're trying to accomplish or get banned from each of them.
    Google+ hasn't resulted in any measure of return for my efforts.
    With all that being said, I've taken the time away from working on the website, and "invested" it in building these accounts up. Things are definitely shifting in the digital world. I think it's time to go back home and fortify. Lol.

    Hi guys, I have a really important question , I'm a second year student of Chemical engineering , and I don't have ideas(I know that you have a list) of what to write because I think *you should know about what you are writing*, so my question is this:
    1- Can I write about something that I don't know anything?
    2- If so what tips can you give us?
    3- If not , should I focus on trying to write about what I already know even if I know there is little potential of monetization in the niche?
    Or should I learn somethig new with some potential and then write about it ?
    And if there is a third option, enlighten me please.
    (My native language is spanish. so, I apologize if I did some catastrophic mistakes.)
    Give some likes if this interest you guys :)))))))))))

      @Shyam Reddy thirumalareddy I saw almost every video, but they did every blog about something that they knew or first they did something and then they realized that they could write about that topic
      But I'm talking about some tips to write about something that you have not knowledge and you didn't search anything before
      I don't know if I expressed my thoughts correctly.
      (Or just say that you shouldn't write about something that you have no experience, and in the videos that I saw, they didn't mention this, if they did please tell me in which video)

    I joined Reddit 2 weeks ago. Went through the signup and selected my 5 areas of interest. Then I looked at the "groups" I was in and found that I had automatically become a member of a Trump knocking group, Democrats and one called Political Humor, whch was basically another Trump knocking group. It is just another leftist platform for snowflakes like Facebook and Twitter so I left - 5 minutes I was a member.

    Love you guys but don't like this video, feels like a generic advice. Showing live sites is what made you stand out from the crowd, filler videos like this makes you blend in again. Thanks
