Kaur Movement is a godsend! Much needed in our community.
Love the work Kaur movement is doing, you need guts for that. Some people who are against it either are molesters themselves or don't understand others pain who go through it. Only people who went through it can understand that. I have 4 yr old daughter and I started teaching her about good and bad touch. My husband and I promised her that she can share anything with us. It's important that we make our kids feel comfortable so they can share anything with us without hesitation. When I was little, if something happened to someone, people used to think there's something wrong with the girl, or she was asking for it. It's always easy to judge the victim, than to stand up with the victim. I'm so glad our community is learning about this and we are openly talking about it. My husband and I have a rule that my daughter can't stay night somewhere unless one of us is with her or her Daadi or Naani are with her. We talked to them too that when our daughter is with them, they have to keep her infront of their eyes at all times.

So glad to see this episode & hearing Gurpreet, I went through hell lot of situations in my life but never found courage;however, I tried to save myself in those situations & I got stronger but yes I could never share my life situations to anyone.

Any one who wants to migrate to Canada or USA make sure you are well educated and are able to withstand the hardships you are going to face from culture shock . If you are educated and are able to find a decent package in India you are better off staying there. Girls who wants to Marry an immigrant make sure that either you or your parents investigate before saying yes . If you are newly married and come to Canada or US be prepared to face the truth. Another important thing is if you migrated try to assimilate with people in your adopted country. Believe me it will make your life lot easier.
