I lived in ksa for 13 years of my life. Saudi has changed a lot now. The rules related to women have eased down. And its way better than what it was 4-5 years ago.

For someone who’s lived a good part of her life in Saudi, it is disappointing how she stereotypes & generalises everything about that country. I have a number of good friends from Saudi here in the US at my university, all of whom haven’t ever strictly adhered to any crazy rules mentioned in this video or had a problem with the ‘conservative’ society that apparently takes away their ‘freedom’. In the end, I think it totally dependent on a person’s personality as to whether they like a place/country or not - not all people in the world like to exaggerate and dramatise every small thing like we Indians do (another stereotype?)
That was a very respectable answer 👏 Some foreign are not treated right and actually have fewer rights than women here This will hopefully change as it is changing for Saudi women but it needs to start with us as individuals our values are similar and it is easy to get along with each other if we both allowed it We all need to be nicer and realize we are not different

Great video..But a small correction that we think women aren't allowed to go out there alone the rules very very old..It's not like that from back 10-15 years.. Women go out alone and they were allowed to do so..They usually used to spot with thier drivers..(before the driving rule)
I am from saudi , and now in saudi u don't have to wear abaya and women r allowed to drive too ...and aramco was not made just for Americans it was made for everyone who works in aramco and all nationalities can live there if they worked in aramco(my mum works in aramco). And now we have movie theaters in saudi 😌✌️....and now we have more freedom , we can go to the mall alone also😏✌️...now most of the shops r run by women only. Even though i am an indian , its always saudi for me ♥️♥️🥺
Ofcourse women are not totally free in that sense. Not even in delhi and mumbai. What was meant was that a women’s dress code is not written into a law in India.
But they can wear whatever they want right? It’s not literally illegal to wear shorts or skirts etc🤷♂️ Come to Pune you’ll see women wearing both, western+Indian dresses

For someone who’s lived a good part of her life in Saudi, it is disappointing how she stereotypes & generalises everything about that country. I have a number of good friends from Saudi here in the US at my university, all of whom haven’t ever strictly adhered to any crazy rules mentioned in this video or had a problem with the ‘conservative’ society that apparently takes away their ‘freedom’. In the end, I think it totally dependent on a person’s personality as to whether they like a place/country or not - not all people in the world like to exaggerate and dramatise every small thing like we Indians do (another stereotype?)

Great video..But a small correction that we think women aren't allowed to go out there alone the rules very very old..It's not like that from back 10-15 years.. Women go out alone and they were allowed to do so..They usually used to spot with thier drivers..(before the driving rule)

I am from saudi , and now in saudi u don't have to wear abaya and women r allowed to drive too ...and aramco was not made just for Americans it was made for everyone who works in aramco and all nationalities can live there if they worked in aramco(my mum works in aramco). And now we have movie theaters in saudi 😌✌️....and now we have more freedom , we can go to the mall alone also😏✌️...now most of the shops r run by women only.
Even though i am an indian , its always saudi for me ♥️♥️🥺
