The smiles you have while working on this are great. When you pull this off, no ifs. I think you are gonna have an absolute blast in this thing. Your gonna feel like a kid again seeing that saleen doing a burnout at your dad's shop. Good luck.
Alex you got a death wish man. Swapping a coyote into a Shelby is crazy, but swapping a coyote into a zr1 is actually a dead man walking and I’m all here for it. All the Shelby and Chevy guys sure are gonna come after ya 😂🔥
@@rileyneufeld7001 unfortunately the stock long block record is 7.12 at 189 last I checked. The expensive stuff was the good fuel system and turbo. Engine itself was still cheap. @@ZONES89RS Pushing a motor to the brink of splitting in half every pass is not realistic for most people. I've seen plenty of LS's pop at 850whp to know they're not nearly as bulletproof as most make them seem. Idk where you're at but finding a low mileage 6.0/6.2 around me is easily 2.5k. a local junkyard wants like 3000 for a tired Escalade 6.2. ported heads, cam, rods, pistons, new lifters, arp hardware etc all add up when you can drop in a gen2 f150 engine and not worry until north of 900whp.
Careful. That air channel also directs air up to the AC condenser and radiator from under the car at speed and helps cool it. A couple boring adapter plates should get the Chevy A/C and power steering pumps to bolt up. It's more about belt alignment than anything. Also keep in mind what side is going to control the alternator.
Man I see so many issues incoming with this. That said, the enthusiasm is infectious, even if I think you're going down a rabbit hole of epic proportions. As long as you're doing it to stir things up and be different, I wish you success. Just don't expect to save money or have better results than rebuilding the stock engine. But if hater tears make you sleep better at night, you're going to love it.
@@YDBT4LIFEif they only knew god I can’t wait to see this done! Great job! But that’s democrats I mean Chevy guys for ya 😂
You could run a volvo electric pump for the power steering, then use the stock coyote accessory drive. Might hit up Lethal Nate for the wiring integration...
Very interested in seeing this swap happen even though i have a C6z with a fully built motor and will be gen 3 coyote swapping my 2004 SVT lightning. I would REALLY LOVE to somehow 6R80 better yet 10R80 swap my C6z. Probably impossible with the trans in the back.
SHOWTIME Bicho!!! Yeahh buddy! Now we get to see a Coyote in a lightweight aerodynamic platform .... early Koenigsegg dont count , buttttttt they did dyno around 650ish so this can be an indication of the performance of a slippery Coyote . Alex I say you sell a conversion/swap kit to the masses ....ijs,
I don't know shit about Corvettes or Coyote swaps, I imagine there's a reason why no ones done this before but someone has to do it first and it would be awesome if Alex was the one to do it.. Lol. i don't want to get my hopes up on this build series, but it would be really cool to see it happen.
I've never been so invested in a swap that hasnt even been started.
Honestly same
Alex you want your channel to blow up? This is how it's done.

I’m from Louisiana and all they do is LS swap Mustangs so I’m loving this!!!!
Make it happen!
LS guys always putting their junk in a Fox or sn95 or s197, this will be awesome 👏🏽
If it was junk folks wouldn’t be using it.
If it was dodge stuff I’d agree 😂
Its certainly easier to LS it.@ZONES89RS
@@ZONES89RSThey used it because it's fine for lower power levels and it WAS cheap! A properly done up LS is hardly cheaper than a coyote in 2024.

Alex, if you actually go through with this, itll be the most badass coyote swapped car, probably to date!

🤣
So let me explain , when I came over last night. .. .....
Yall will never not be weird with comments like this
The water steering pump 🤣
I started laughing when he said that
I'd be willing to be a paid member for a full video of you singing 80s hits.
this is so god damn exciting. You showing off your pipes while walking around PBH had me laughing out loud literally. Love it!!!
Might as well face it we’re addicted to lund. 🤣💯
Alex singing has made my underwear stretch and smoke alarms go off
This remind me of a Turvi type video but everything makes sense. Lol. Excited to see what you do with this one!

I’m here to support this coyote swap
Nice project but may be you should repair your motor and resale the zr1, then buy a base c6 and put a coyote in it.
I am so fucking excited to see this swap work.
You know you’re old when you sing a Robert Palmer song haha..

100% support this swap!
Everything seems easy but I don’t think you thought about the blinker fluid…
Singing Addicted to Love had me dying. 😂💀
All I want to know. Is where can I get one of them water steering pumps at??? 😂. If this swap goes down, can’t wait to see it. Bad ass man 🤙🏼
Damn, I was hoping Alex said he had some long tube headers laying around lol
I can already see peoples faces when they realize it’s got a coyote in it. 😂 fucking love it. I’m so jelly
The new ZR5.0
Gotta love Robert Palmer!! Coyote swap the world ❤ I definitely think it'll work perfectly!
I was wondering if any body else knew it was Robert Palmer!
Next episode, Alex Godzilla swaps the Escalade! 😎
Brother it would be badass if you can put that coyote in that Corvette 👊😂
When he puts it in the corvette*
I was just gonna leave EXACTLY the same comment almost word for word
He is lol

I would be all ford stuff (BCM and ECM) and keep the stock ecu hooked up for control I have a guy that feels he can get it done.
That will be a cool swap!!!
Send the gm boys into helium voice!!!
Extremely excited for the coyote swap 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
6:05 measuring from your sphincter 😂
I would run a volvo power steering pump to save room in the engine bay
This is a fabulous idea! Can't wait to see the first start !
Wow that is badass! I agree that the clearance is there to make the coyote work! Good luck!
But how will you be able to change the crank sensor?...
At first i thought hell no. After watching this it might become a thing. I'm interested !!!
While I don’t mind the singing, don’t quit your day job, Alex 😂
There are low profile dry sump oil pans available for the Coyote. I wonder if they can be used with the zr1's dry sump system. Great video!
Great video thank you!
Now this is getting interesting
I think this is possible!
Only thing you would need is to adapt a ford bell housing to the torque tube.
Corvette guys : It ain’t going to work ,It ain’t going to work. I HOPE IT DONT WORK. 😂
I hope it works 😂
This is going to be 🔥! Thanks Alex.
Dude this will be badass project!
lol Alex Palmer singing!!! Sucks doing stuff solo. Ask me how I know!!! Good job, sir.
Good thing your doing those bicep curls
“Alrighty, got them here, gonna hit them with some brake cleaner, try not to pass out” 😂😂😂
The Escalade will be coyote swapped before next summer
I wonder if a ford modular t56/tr6060 bellhousing would bolt up to it... might save some of the time/money/headache of an adapter plate?
One thing I can say it is rare to see a ford going in a Chevy
kid in a candy store vibe at PBH lol!
Probably be faster now with some twins 🤣
Yeah my man 5.2 would be nasty!!
This would be awesome love to see this happen!!
They make coilover conversions for the C6 if you want more free space deleting that front leaf spring.
