This started a couple months after Angel ended, and I remember hearing that Joss was a big fan. On a tangent, Kristen Bell is the only person I can picture playing Buffy other than SMG.
My other favorite show after Buffy!
omg she watch all the series when i was young xfiles, buffy, angel now this, if she does prison break and stargate (love the atlantis one) with them i will be back when i was 10-12 years old maybe even 8-10 years old

(I'd also recommend "Party Down" when you finish VM. It's by the same people, I think, with many of the same actors; a few regulars and the ones that are regular in VM that aren't in Party Down end up having cameos sooner or later. It's a very different show in tone, it's pure comedy... an ensemble, but headlined by Adam Scott and Lizzy Caplan. 2 seasons, each 8 episodes each, I think? So not a great time commitment. I think a 3rd season came out somewhat recently, as it was a cult hit. I haven't gotten around to watching it yet, though.)

Sucks that the HD version is missing the first scene. Totally different vibe from the get-go.

@@letitiahunt3696 the DVDs have the directors cut that opens with Veronica outside the motel before the bikers show up narrating about how marriages always end badly. It sets up the noir detective vibe really well but the network thought teens wouldn't like it and that it should open with her at school and that's the version that's on streaming sadly.

This is a great time in my life. For the longest time I could only find one reactor to Veronica Mars, and she quit reacting (Actually I did run across one guy that reacted to it, but he got annoying. I was constantly searching for Veronica Mars reactions (one of the best shows ever) and came up dry. Now they are popping up a bit.
Veronica Mars season 1 was epic bit then it all went down hill.
I love Veronica Mars! Made a lifelong Kristen Bell fan.
A friend once said I had a crush on Kristen Bell before anyone else. I know that can't be true, but it is true that this show was both criminally underviewed and also the show that made her the star she became.
@andrewjuby6339 I lived with a woman about 10 years ago and after I mentioned Veronica Mars too many times she binged it on Netflix (I think, at the time).
She came up to me after season 1 and said, "I just watched Veronica Mars because you always talk about it. I thought it was going to be some silly comedy show, but it's really good."
This pilot episode is excellent. Sets everything up perfectly
I like this in the same way I like to Buffy and Angel. The man who created this show was inspired by Buffy and Angel. Later in the show because of his love for Buffy the man who is behind this show I believe his name is Rob Thomas but I am not totally sure. He had several of the actors from Buffy guest starring. The guy who is bald with tattoos is the boy from Free willy the half brother. And he was in Kazaam with ShaquilleO Neil. He is Half Italian and Dominican. Hot 🥵

I rewatched this show like 4 years ago to see if it's still as good as it was when I was a kid and to be completely honest as an adult I still find Veronica Mars to be a really good mystery show from the 2000s 💗
