The adventures of the vice squad detectives of the Miami Police Department.
Stubble-faced detective Crockett lived in a sailboat guarded by his alligator Elvis. His partner Tubbs was a black New York cop looking for his brother's killer. Together they took on the Florida drug world. The show influenced men's fashions toward Italo-casual and interior decor toward the Memphis look. Very trendy music and unusual guest performers.
    Creator: Anthony Yerkovich
Stars: Don Johnson, Philip Michael Thomas

      I rised up with „Star Trek“ orginal series , Star Wars „A new hope“ , „Battelstar Galactika“ , „Patroulie Orion“ , „Moonbase Alpha- or better known as „ Space 1999 „ and some others include „Cursor“ ( for this age a real Scie-Fie show ) !!!

The good old days when most households only had channels 2 to 13 to watch, maybe a few on the UHF dial or HBO if you were lucky... Network TV was king, most of America watched the same prime time shows, and outside of prime time it was mostly reruns of shows that aired in the 70s - stuff that our parents watched, and now watched together with us. That's one of the things that gave us a better connection and appreciation to what came before us, a connection missing with today's youth.

I am so impressed with this show that I lack any words to fully discribe it.
The show don't even feel old or outdated even though it is from the early 1980's.
It has to be one of the most impressive tv-shows ever made and it has that almost magical 1980's feeling about it.
If I could live in a tv-show and I could not choose Star trek voyager or next-gen,I would choose Miami vice, even though it is
    not a sci-fi show.
I have nothing bad to say about this show and that in itself is almost a miracle.

No I Have not seen that movie and I am not going to.
I do belive you when you say that it is an ok movie, but I dont belive in making remakes of old wondefull
movies or tv shows and I thing we have seen quite a few horrible examples of such remakes in the last few years and they do serious hearm to the original concept.
Star wars and star trek has been destroyed by those horrible remakes and so has Robocop,Transformers and so many other things and I don't want Miami vice killed for me as well.
There is only one Crockett and one Tubbs for me and I would like it to stay that way.

I was so looking forward to seeing and loving the movie. But it was unwatchable. It was as though the entire budget went to hiring Colin Farrel and Foxx and then hired a film student and skeleton crew and didn't even have a budget to more than a few paid extras. It was very bad. Farrell and Foxx had zero chemistry, zero swagger, and I couldn't hear or understand most of what they were saying. Nothing. It was actually fascinating for how bad it was and I guess I should be grateful they didn't make it a comedy like Charlie's angels.

I lived in Florida in the 80's. This takes me back.

I love the comments under this UA-cam post: "The 80s were awesome!" Fuck yeah, they were! I was in my 20s, I had hair, I owned a boat, and I was, well, simply irresistible 😉

One of the best theme songs and intro's ever. Magnum PI was pretty good too. Gotta have that guitar in there that makes it special.

No guitars were used in the performance of this theme (it's Jan Hammer's synth genius).

That intro was so good I never actually watched the show after it.
