Of course Liam Nielsen is talking menacingly on the phone with someone he doesn’t know
😂👌
😂 He has always had it in him
Liam Neeson did that in the Taken movies. 😂
Yes. He's using that particular set of skills he's developed.
@@glenncalzada1707 i wish someone would mix together the "Taken" lines with the Qi Gon Jin scene about the midichlorian counts 🧞
Couldn't wait for Friday nights, so my Dad and I could watch Miami Vice. RIP Papa
Same here, RIP
You dad was Ernest Hemingway!?
Phil Collins was practically a regular on there. I loved his con man character
Phil was a natural actor, surprised he never did more acting, he started as a child actor in the 60s after all
So good they even put him in GTA vice city
He certainly was a con man. He took Genesis away from Peter Gabriel and made it into a Disney band.
Was he really in s1e10 🤔

Ben Stiller! OMG! Practically unrecognizable.
Yeah I couldn't believe it was him
Cuban Spray Tan .. lol
haha yeah I was like WOW!
yeah, what happened? He looked almost good looking here.
He reminded me of a 20 something Mr. Morden from Babylon 5.
I was very fortunate to have enjoyed the 80’s, as a kid. It truly was a great time to be a kid.
Yes M8. Growing up in the 80s just had everything.
Yep, I enjoyed the 80s as a skater.
Agreed
True. No social media, no cell phones, no narcissism, and we survived perfectly well...
Great time to have been an adult, too
Jesus how many stars in one show amazing
It was THE show of the 80s
But to be fair to the casting ... the actors featured was just starting there careers

The thing is at the time most of the 'celebrities' were just your average working actors trying to make a living 😊
I’m surprised Teller was in here

Thank you! ❤
Hands down one of the best TV shows - visualized everything about the essence of the 80's...didn't even realize Teller from Penn and Teller did acting back then with speaking lines and all the guest stars.... it's amazing to see them so young and some just starting their careers.
Penn was on the show too. Season 2 episode 1.
Had a good laugh with Liam Neeson on the phone and he did not know who they are 😂
I knew all those people were on Miami Vice. One of the reasons I loved this show so much. I would love to go back to 84.
I graduated HS in '84
Do yourself a favor and purchase all five seasons on DVD. You will thank me later!
Me too brother. 1984 was probably the greatest year in human history. For me anyway 😜.
graduated high school in 85.. those were fantastic days.. 80s movies music chicks .. being 17.. Great days
I freaking loved this series. When I was in high-school I watched this religiously. And had Elvis lived into the 1980's he would have been on this series as well.
I'd never heard Teller's voice in all of my 40 years before now...craziness.
Did I miss something or did you forget Willie Nelson, G.Gordon Liddy, Roberto Duran, Danny Sullivan, ‘Tex’ Cobb, Richard Belzer just to name a few.
Also seen were: boxing promoter Don King, boxing legend Roberto Duran, comic Tommy Chong, the Chrysler chairman Lee Iacocca, and even the President of NBC-TV (in a cameo as a bartender; I forgot which episode).
A lot more… just in these clips.
Captain Real Estate, probablu one of the best villains the series has ever had
Also George Takei, Reb Brown, Antonio Fargas.
If I recall well there is also Raf singing Self Control in a scene
Miami Vice was the best crime series of all time. Two things really caught my attention at the time: the soundtrack, which was exquisite, and these guest appearances. Many were still little known and I didn't even notice when I watched it for the first time, but the musicians were a big surprise. I remember when I saw Miles Davis and I thought "no way!"
A beautiful compilation, but I need to mention a few that are missing and were really special:
Iman
Lee Iaccoca
Lawrence Fishburne
Willie Nelson
Wesley Snipes
Dom King
George Takei
Greetings from Brazil.
John Taylor and Andy Taylor from Duran Duran had cameos, too.
@@astropioneer3296 thanks for the reminding.
@@Santos.Sarmento fun to see your list. Thank you!
Miami Vice being the best crime series of all time is arguable, as I believe that distinction goes to The Wire (and that is a hill I will gladly die on), but what I will agree with you on is the significance of the soundtrack, and how important of a part it played in the show. As a person who did the bulk of my growing up in the 80s and 90s, the only other crime show I can remember where the music and musical artists who were featured on the show were a significant driving force for the amount of eyes that tuned in every week was New York Undercover.
Old series were so great because they had more real-looking actors (not all the plastic and same look that you see nowadays) and because they had a future star in every episode… Also “Charlie’s Angels”, “Fantasy Island” and many more were like that…
Laurence Fishburne, Wesley Snipes, Ving Rhames, Tony Sirico, Chris Elliott, Vanity, Pepe Serna, James Russo and Rosalind Chao are also some of the legendary guest stars from Miami Vice.
The first few seasons were epic. It defined the 80’s along with MTV.
Miami Vice had it all...story, style, songs and stars!!!!
Ving Rhames was in 2 episodes playing different roles. Fat Boys, Vanity, Lawrence Fishburne, Garcelle Beauvais, Tony Shalhoub ( monk )
Grier and Kitt are queens
Liam Neeson and
telephones!😂
This show WAS my friday nights
And Teller talks! I heard of Penn and Teller but this was one of the rare times he actually spoke.
This is the first time I’ve heard Teller say something in his entire career!!!
😂😂😂 This is pure gold ! So many greats actors in Miami Vice in beggining career
The perfect 80s show. Whatever was on TV on the same night was always of secondary importance.
Friday night 7:pm CST was must-watch t.v.!
They forgot Iman, Lynn Whitfield and John Taylor of Duran Duran. I’m sure there’s more that we’re left out.
Johnson had been making $30,000-35,000 per episode for his role as James "Sonny" Crockett during Vice's first two seasons. With the show a massive hit after the second season, Johnson felt he deserved a pay rise that better reflected the huge success the series had become (the highest-paid television actor at the time, Tom Selleck, was making $250,000 per episode on Magnum P.I.). Universal offered to increase Johnson's pay to $38,500 an episode, but he turned this figure down, reportedly pushing for a wage of up to $100,000 per episode. When this was declined, he walked off the set and refused to return to the production unless he received a level of pay that he deemed more befitting of the show's popularity.
Universal began filming what was originally to be the third-season opener, "El Viejo", around Johnson's absence, but this soon proved to be an impossible task. Within a week, the studio had filed a $20 million breach-of-contract suit against Johnson, and issued the star an ultimatum: return to the series or be replaced. The two actors considered as Johnson's successor were Broadway star Treat Williams (Once Upon A Time In America, Deadwood) and Mark Harmon (NCIS), who at that time had recently left the series St. Elsewhere. In either case, Williams or Harmon would not replace Johnson as Crockett, but rather play a new partner for Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs, thereby allowing Johnson to return in the future.
Just a few hours after Universal filed their lawsuit, and before a definitive replacement could be named, Johnson relented and returned to work for an undisclosed amount of money, ending the holdout.
I like ol’ Don Juanson, as actors go, but he can be quite the prima donna when given the chance.
If Selleck was making $250k per ep, then Don and Philip deserved a solid 75-100k each.
@@JaneSmith-so6hw You desired what you can negotiate.
This was the hottest show of the 80s. He should’ve been making 150k per episode. It’s crazy how money went up in the 90s. The whole cast of friends that mediocre comedy show were making a million per episode.
Larry Hagman went from 15k to 180k per episode after the who shot jr famous season.
Forgot Don King, Bruce McGill, Penn Jillette, Esai Morales, Willie Nelson, Gregory Sierra, G. Gordon Liddy, Brian Dennehy, Randall "Tex" Cobb, Bert Young, William Russ, Clarence Williams III, and Danny Sullivan
Yess! Thankyou! For the life of me I couldn't remember Bruce McGill's name. And how did I forget The Brian Dennehy episode "Amen..Send Money" Along with Bill Russ' episode "Evan".
@@genXer3 Love your channel btw. Just came across it this week. I'm a huge Vice fan from when I was kid. I know more about this show than what's probably healthy : )
The late Gregory Sierra was a regular in the earlier episodes of the first season, but he didn't like the weather in Miami. So his character was killed off and was replaced by Edward James Olmos.
Thanks @@rmx.indiana8306
True, though like Jerry Stiller playing George Costanza's father after John Randolph was in the part. Much as I like Sierra also Olmos was better.
Man, I loved this series so much. As a young teen from the North of England it was such a great escape...I even got to wearing pastel colours and slip ons. Lol
I remember seeing this thing called the Miami De-vice. It was an electric razor for shaving but left just a little hair so you could rock that 80s Don Johnson look. The sport coat with a Tshirt was a popular look too.
@@heywoodjablowme8120 😄😄😎👍
This is awesome 😍. Great list.
Thanks for the amazing hard work
Great video, great stars, great tv show.
Great tv show
Ben Stiller looked like Eddie Munster.
Awesome show! Going out Friday nights was delayed until AFTER the episode was over.
Since it's release, it was destined to be success, and it's amazing how much of a legacy Miami Vice truly has, and the amount of influence it's given. When you rewatch Vice, youll always get surprised by how many guest stars they've had, a true gem of a show. Time flies, but this never gets old, what an era.

2) 0:07 Julia Roberts 21, newbie and then a smash hit with , two years later
3) 0:23 Melanie Griffith 30, (she's so gorgeous, very beautiful) Steven Bauer of was her husband at that time.
Originally she'd married Don Johnson at 19, divorced only seven months later, but she was reunited with DJ(7 years) before Antonio Banderas.
4) 0:40 Michael Madsen 27, as a long long unknown until (1992)
5) 1:18 Phil Collins 34, sometimes cameo appearances with his heyday.
6) 1:45 Benicio del Toro 20, debut drama for a Puerto Rican boy and then 8 years later .
7) 2:02 Liam Neeson 34, Daddy Long Legs with some career, played for Father John Fielding in thereabout.
Nice job!
You missed Benicio playing in License To Kill first.
This just confirms my theory that Giancarlo Esposito is in everything. :)
He’s like Ron Howard’s brother Clint, the one actor you’ve seen in 100’s of other movies but never knew it.
Super cool, I'm re-watching this again,
I wasn't allowed to watch it in the 80s as I was still too young but when I watched it in the early 2000s I recognized SO many of the now famous actors and musicians.
I knew Miami Vice had some big-name actors on their show, but Frank Stallone?! Wow.
It is amazing how culturally popular this show was and I have yet to watch one episode and I grew up in the 80s.
Same. It was always there but I never watched more than snippets. Thought it was campy.
Meh you guys were part of a different scene. Let me guess you were more into rock music?
Never secretly stayed up late to catch an episode?
@9. I was in 5th grade in 1984 and I listened to top 40. Michael Jackson, Madonna, etc. I wasn't into 80s big hair bands or classic 70s rock. Didn't listen to Motley Crue, Poison, Guns Roses, Queen, etc.
That was great! Watched every episode in the 80's
Ok, so pretty much ALL actors in Hollywood participated in different episodes of Miami Vice. It's incredible. Some are unrecognizably young.
Love this stuff
The show was full of nothing but legends. Wow
Thank you for memory lane back to my favourite show of all time.
I had no idea. Wonderful!
Michael Richards in 3 of the greatest shows of all time. Miami Vice, Cheers and Seinfeld.
Also Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, Fridays, Night Court, and The Larry Sanders Show. And the best stand-up meltdown of all-time.
He was on Cheers!?
Yes.
some of the biggest. far from greatest
So Miami Vice was the Law and Order of the 80's
Just like Star Trek in the 60's.
Very good!, thanks!
This is ssooo great!
The plots of this show were frequently silly but the panning shots and musical interludes are gold.
I really thought Liam was gonna give his “set of skills” speech when he sat down
Excelent! Brought me memories😊
Great work! Very funny! The series of his time!
I was still a little kid when the show was around but I remember my granddad watching the show endlessly. Tales from The Crypt had a lot of before they were stars celebrities too.
Pamiętam jak oglądam ten serial jeden z tych które na stałe wpisały się do historii kina i telewizji.....już nikt nigdy nie powtórzy tego sukcesu i klimatu jaki tworzył ten wspaniały serial :)
There has yet to be a tv series as cool as that since
Nice compilation.
The greatest series ever! I was an extra on that show.

That is the only time I have heard Teller's voice.
I was thinking the same 💯.
This is fantastic, so many stars and some B level actors too!
WOW! A LOT OF GOOD ONES

I loved the show... so many folks came on.. the music was great!
le plus beau role d'Arielle Dombasle (au top de sa carrière)
Évidemment c’est à la demi-française qu’échoit le rôle de bombe sexuelle 😂
In the episode with Frank Zappa, you didn't mention that the great fighter, Manos de Piedra, Roberto Duran, was also in it.
Everyone looks so young , I love seeing these old shows
I really loved that show
Must admit that there are quite a few that I haven't really heard of, but that's probably because they are on US TV.
But it was a great way for many up and coming actors and actresses to show what they were capable of and so that will be why many of them are Hollywood household names now.
Keye luke, clarence Williams III, Laurence fishburne, dr. Haing S. Ngor and Rita Moreno appeared on the show.
great job, thats lots of work!
Ok now I want yo review the whole seasons !
