I own this bag. I really wanted to love it for all the reasons outlined in this review. I took it on two trips last summer, one short two night business trip and an extended 10 day vacation with multiple flights and hotels. I now can unequivocally state that I hate this bag! It is one of the worst travel experiences I have had with a travel bag. It was not great on the short trip. It kept falling over, but I thought it was just because of the way I had it packed. On the longer trip, it became a standing joke of me having to drag it every where because it would not stand up. It was like the videos of the dog on a leash that takes two steps and lays down and won’t take another step. I tried packing it multiple different ways and none of them helped the situation at all. I will never use it for travel again. I think there is a version that does have a traditional metal extendable handle. It might be better, but I have moved on from this style and will not be trying it.
I'm so sorry it didn't work out for you - I haven't had this problem. They do sell one that's a little bigger, also expandable, with an extendable handle to pull it just like any other carry on. It's the Lift Off - I'm thinking about pairing it with the Zipsack Boost just to have some extra space in a still-compact set.
This bad does not roll properly once expanded. It tips over no matter how you pack it. Pain in the neck. I used it for 3 trips and now use it for storage in my home. A big disappointment.
After using it on a European vacation, I couldn’t wait to donate this bag to charity. Yes, it truly expands-though it did topple over occasionally-but the biggest irritant was the handles. I don’t think my arms are abnormally short (!), but even with the handles pulled out to maximum length I found it impossible to roll the bag unless I was stooped over. 🤬
On the subject of all those suitcases in the garage. Had a similar issue and started donating a lot to the homeless shelter down the street or will keep a couple in the trunk and hand off to a homeless person who is just carrying garbage bags. Will also throw 20 bucks into a pocket for a nice surprise. An option. Anywho, I buy luggage like some friends buy shoes and after awhile stuff gotta go for lack of use or not liking something about [i.e. wheels drag on carpet]
We’ve done this in the past too, I live in Germany and a German friend has every year upto 20 sick children from Tschernobyl, they come here for a vacation of fresh air and fun, get checked over medically etc, normally they go back with some kinda suitcase and a school backpack that’s been donated some clothes and sweets. Unfortunately no money though, it would be taken from them at boarder control or their stressed parents drink it if you follow. Nice to see others being so kind to, 👍🏻to you Karen Henry
That's a very excellent idea! Some of these cases I haven't used in quite a few years. We have quite a few homeless around our area - I'll keep my eyes open for one who might appreciate having a suitcase! Cheers...
I love the way this bag gives 2 options for accessing contents. And the fact that it folds away so small for storage. It’s definitely on my list now. Thanks!
The reason the zipsack "falls" over is a packing issue. I have that problem at times. It means the bag is too top heavy. I ALWAYS use the included strap to pull it. Overall though, it's a great bag and fits into Frontier's personal item bin (theonly issue I have ever had with that, was a charger in the outer pocket - make sure nothing protrudes from those pockets and always put it in the bin upside down)
@@kurtthecat3995 I can assure you my bag is not overpacked. Since these are soft sided bags, if you so not have the weight distributed just right, they will tip over.
What sold me was the way it stored and it being expandable. I've used it for a few domestic flights over the past year now. I'm 4'11" and I don't mind dragging the bag with me. It actually feels comfortable because I can adjust the strap just long enough for it to not feel like a leash. Yes, it can get lumpy, so I try to pack it mindfully. It really holds a lot. I really enjoy using mine.
Now since having this bag for a while, how do you feel about it? I'm researching biaggi quality as an option. I like the compact storage and conversion of these bags.
There are many bags of this type available and I agree that they are wonderful. But, before making the decision that this is all you need there is one important thing you to take into account. If you are not checking on your bag, you must make sure that the total weight meets the airlines limits. It will surprise you how much your belongings weigh when you cram so much into it. Some airlines include your tablet and handbag as part of the total cabin weight. And a trap is that some also do not accept an overweight cabin bag even if you have paid for or it is included for one checked bag. And remember this when you think of bringing back purchases.
I have never heard of a weight limit on carryon bags only Bag Size Limitations. I assumed they figured that you can only fit so much stuff in a 14x8x10 bag. But knowing how they are always looking for ways to make life miserable for travelers, it wouldn't surprise me if they do have a weight limit now....or in the near future.....knowing that people are finding ways to avoid their outrageous fees. Sooner or later.....people will need to take a STAND and fight back otherwise.......I see a time where you won't be able to take ANYTHING with you without being charged extra fees. The more "we" allow it, the more they will take.
I just used this bag on a short trip to the Cape and packed a light weigh jacket in that bottom part (where the wheels flip over) and it fit perfectly!
I have a Biaggi larger bag for about 6 years. I got it from QVC. I really like how it stores, but the bag does fall over and I like having the pull out handle. This might be a good carry on bag for me, but I am an over packer, so I would still use 2 bags. I enjoyed your video and suggestions.
You definitely have to be sure to pack it from the bottom up so that it stays upright! If you lay it down to pack it, it will be lopsided and unstable.
So glad I came across your video. Thank you for an excellent demonstration. I just ordered a couple of similar expandable carry-ons and can't wait till they arrive. I don't want to check bags this trip but I always need extra room for shopping. We also have a suitcase graveyard in our garage...
Always my go-to bags…compression cubes/backpack/to even a 31” wheeled case…all of which compacted fir in my hard sided carryon ‼️ Have survived many travels and always ready for more‼️‼️‼️‼️
I was wondering how to wheel this bag but at last I can see that it is not difficult at all. It is very useful for me as I often buy bottles of liquor and other stuffs at the duty free shop in the departure hall before heading home instead of carrying multiple plastic bags from the shops. All I have to do is dump everything in there and just store them in the overhead compartments once boarded the aircraft.
The bag seems pretty amazing, but the only issue I can see is the bag has wheels yet it doesn't have a telescopic handle. For me the wheels seem useless. It would be hard to roll this bag because it is so close to the ground.
I have several Biaggi bags and parking cubes and I LOVE them. For the Boost line, (soft side, no trolley handle) you do have to pack for bottom up so it stays balanced, but that's easy if you use packing cubes. I travel out with the Boost bags NOT expanded and usually travel home with them expanded. I sometimes travel w/a small dog domestically, so I use the small Boost as my carryon and my dog's soft sided travel crate is my personal item. When I have my pup, I do have to take a check-in to accommodate her travel play-pen, food, bed, etc., (she's a senior that doesn't travel light). But that also means I have extra room in the check in and only have to take my purse, electronics, valuables, one emergency outfit and 2 days food and meds for my pup in the carry-on. I don't travel light and neither does my pup, but the Biaggi bags really work for us!
hello, love the elephant make up bag! 😊 I would like to order the same size as yours but not sure if it's large or small?? I checked Amazon & this design seems to only be available in a large....
Mine is a small...I just checked and it does look like it's only available in large right now! Sorry! :( But to be honest, I wish it were a little bigger sometimes.
nice bag. highly functional. I have something I love that can store a lot and go under the seat also. I get extra space by placing my packing cubes in a compression bag. was able to pack a winter coat into my carry on using this method last year on a trip to Alaska.
I have several of their bags. I love the back pack and the suitcases with the handles. I don’t live the wheeled bags with no handles. Another option for that bottom section above the wheels is to put shoes in it.
Where are your toiletries?? Depends on airport and not all luggage czars are created equal but some may tell you it's not considered as personal but a carry-on due to the wheels. The wheels can be ify just depends where. I have seen those videos as well.
My toiletries are in my drawstring bag. I’ve never had an issue with this bag as a carry on - that’s not to say it won’t happen but so far, so good. I’ve never used it as my personal item.
I’ve been searching and searching for the perfect underseat bag and none met all of my criteria until this! Thank you for this review. I just ordered it through your link! I’ve also liked and subscribed!!
@@MAEUNC yes I very much love the bag. Have taken it on four carryon only trips as my underseat personal item. Only down side is once it’s fully expanded it’s really difficult to get it back in its smaller size- so never have. Love that it rolls and have used it rolling and walking yawing straps as a handle. It’s not easy to wear as a shoulder bag though.
If not expanded to full size, can this be used as a PERSONAL item or are the dimensions a little too big to be considered as a personal item since most are 18x14x9? (I believe this one is 16x15x9 when it's not expanded, according to the Biaggi website, so I worry about that extra inch.) I want to take a regular carry on bag for the overhead compartment, but I'd love to use this one as a personal item.
Amazing review! I'm considering buying this but was intrigued by your comment that you are testing the version with a rigid handle (I believe that's the Lift off?). Even though you haven't posted your review, is there any major drawback to purchasing the Lift Off instead?
Hi there! Yes - I took the Lift Off to Europe for two months this summer and gave it a good workout. If you are using the Lift Off alone, and not with another bag, then for a short trip I think it's a great little piece of luggage. For a longer trip, I don't know I would bring it along again. The wheels on the bottom make it impossible to "perch" it on top of a suitcase for easy rolling, so I ended up with the suitcase handle in one hand and the Lift Off handle in the other. It wasn't convenient or easy - next time I'll bring a bag designed for this purpose. The handle has a little more "play" in it than I'd like - it wiggled around quite a lot and I often wished it were more rigid. I thought it would break part way through my trip, but it proved to be sturdy and is still working fine! I used the expandable feature and was able to bring home quite a few extra things due to this feature. Overall I think it's a good bag if you are doing a weekend away or just need a small bag. I'll be doing a full review pretty soon -
have you used it this year on united with the new smaller under the seat requirements? I have one and bought one for my husband for our trip to Scotland but I'm worried that it wont fit under the seat on our united flight.
I haven't tried it on United yet as I rarely fly them. If you're worried, I would take a look at the exact dimensions on the Biaggi website to see if it will be small enough.
After watching your show, I'm seriously thinking about purchasing this bag. A couple of questions though. 1) will it fit under the seat as a personal bag? 2) does it have a sleeve so I can carry it on handle of my rolling carry on bag? Thank you.
Hi! 1) I have taken it on JetBlue, Southwest and Westjet and it fit under the seat well. If you are buying it for a specific airline, just make sure to check the dimensions. The bag is 16" x 15" x 9" inches when not expanded. 2) It does have a sleeve! For the summer, I'm pairing it with another Biaggi bag that has a pull up metal handle. I hope it well for you!
Great review! now I have 3 questions: 1)How much does it weigh empty? 2) fully expanded and filled, does it meet carry-on size requirements? 3) is it sturdy enough to check this back with other luggage not damaging it or the contents?
Thank you! 1) It's 3.85 pounds 2) I have carried it onto at least 6 different airlines, fully expanded, with no issues 3) It's a soft-sided bag - I would check it with clothes inside but nothing breakable or fragile. :)
So happy to have found this video. I bought this exact bag at a thrift shop and had no idea how to use it or what was going on with it. Thanks for posting!
@@5MinuteTravel UPDATE: Just returned from Paris, This bag is pure garbage , it hardly rolls without tipping over. You can not put a bag, their bag, on top without it falling off even after sliding in the sleeve! The bottom is completely destroyed! Yes, it is small for storage, but that’s it.
Thanks for demonstrating a very creative take on air travel luggage. The wheels would be good for long walks to meet connecting flights or on the return trip when it's heavier with items you bought at your destination. Basically it starts as an under seat personal item and at its fullest it can be a carryon in the over head bin. Worth considering to be sure!
I have this one, took it on one trip so far. I liked it. Fell over once, but that was it. Debating taking it on our next trip, will depend on how much we need to bring. Also reminded me of Trunki, which we had when our kid was young. Actually really loved Trunki, was sad when she was outgrown.
Why wasn’t a trolley sleeve added? It could ride on top of carry on = no falling issue. It is supposed to be an under seat personal item, right? W/o that strap, I will look elsewhere.
I am a world traveler who takes 3 transatlantic trips a year. This bag is more trouble than it’s worth. It tips. No matter how I pack it it tips. Sorry. A great concept but lacking in stability once expanded.
I have only put it in the overhead when expanded. I think it would get in the way of your feet and wouldn’t go all the way under the seat in front of you.
Very cool!! 🎉Pls let us know how it wears!! 🤞It would be helpful to see you really walk with it. Measurements and weight of a bag empty are always helpful to know. Welcome! ❤
Thank you for commenting! I've used it on a few trips and has worn well - still looks like new and the wheels have zero wear. I pull it along with the long handle that clips on to it and it follows me like a little dog! The measurements are 16' x 15' x 9' and 21' x 15' x 9' when expanded. It is designed to slide under airline seats so the bottom is exactly the right measurement for this.
I owned this bag for a couple of years. I do like it, but do not like how it’s a struggle to pull it without feel like I’m fighting to keep it upright. I haven’t used it after a few months of travel.
I don't have a "nice", purse-looking backpack. I usually just use a Gregory 24liter pack if I'm wanting something that's hands free. It holds quite a bit and is easy to stow.
I have this bag. It does not stand up at all. It also does not roll with a darn. It has great options but I seriously won't take it back to Africa with me. It rolls horribly. I wound up carrying it thru Doha airport which was not fun.
I have found that if you pack the bag from the bottom up, with the bulk of the weight at the bottom, it's pulls along just fine! It has longer straps that you can see in the video where I'm pulling it through the airport. It's quite stable.
@@5MinuteTravel Thanks. So many choices out there it is so hard to decide. Already bought a ton of backpacks trying to find that perfect one and don't want to re-live that experience!
@@CanesFan65 it's such a personal choice!! It does make my head spin with all of the options available out there. You just have to find what works best for you. Good luck!
Would it actually fit under seat in front, and leave room for my feet? The last time I flew from Brisbane to Adelaide, on my own. My carry on case was taken from me and put in overhead locker after everyone was seated. On arrival at Adelaide a member of staff told me it should have gone in hold with my big case. But that is what I did when coming home to UK. I don't think I would not have the strength to push that bag right under seat. I was 5 years younger in 2018. But I liked the look of the bag.
It is designed to fit under the seat but you would need to check the dimensions for the airline you are flying. This is not a large bag but, as it has a rigid base, it may need to go in the overhead bin if you are flying in economy or a smaller plane.
I own the Biaggi under-seat-to-carryon bag and I love it. I don't use their packing cubes because I prefer separation (3 long narrow packing cubes work very well). I can pack for an 8-day trip in the under-seat size and expand it to carry for my purchases. Biaggi now had a hard side suitcase.
Well, small world. Looking through travel tip videos I come across… Anita… OMG! Very clever underseat bag. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it. 😊👍 I have a quick question for you. I recall in the past you had used a house-swap website. What was the name of it? I have friends interested in the idea in order to travel more. Thanks Anita for your time and consideration. Good Luck with you new UA-cam channel! - Nadia (RVCS ‘81)
Nadia I love that you happened to come across me online! :) Homeexchange.com and peoplelikeus.world are the two exchange clubs we use. I'll be doing a short series on this channel all about home exchange. I'm doing 5 of them this summer so will be sharing my experience with everyone!
Great informative video. Thanks! Apologies if these questions have been asked before. Are you able to easily reach the straps while rolling or do you have to lean over a bit to reach them? Also, once you add additional items once expanded, is it still considered carryon size? Hopefully so since there’s no padding. Thank you!❤
I'm 5'6" and the straps are easy for me to use as I walk. No bending over necessary! I have carried this bag on expanded numerous times. - it is big enough that it has to go in the overhead though.
Love this review! What bag do you usually bring for travel? I always think that travel is made easier when you have the best travel gear and essentials too. The bento bag from Nomad Lane is my best carry-on bag for travels like this. Thought I'd share it with you, too! Can you please do a review on the Bento Bag by Nomad Lane?
I don't believe it would fit if expanded. I just used it today for a train journey and it was best in the overhead rack. For a plane I think it would be too long, if expanded, to fit under the seat. It would need to be kept in the overhead bin.
This looks like a great idea, I just worry if you expand it fully, it’s bigger than a carry on for some budget airlines. Do you check it or carry it on when it’s fully extended? Also, I think it’s true about how you distribute the weight. It could go lopsided and drag….thanks for a good review! I’m always looking for something to make travel a bit easier!
I've carried it on when fully extended and it's been fine! Never on an international flight...just domestic flights in the US. You definitely need to load it with the heavier things on the bottom...but if you do, it's pulls alont well.
Hello, I just came across this video. I wish you would have addressed the fact that there is not a handle. I understand why there is not a retractable handle, but it looks awkward to have to use the straps to roll it. I think this bag has a lot of great ideas, but not having a retractable handle is a deal breaker for me. (Yet, with the way it is designed, I completely understand it would be difficult, if not impossible, to incorporate a retractable handle in the design the way it is.) Thank you.
I really like this bag as well as the backpack with the zip able bottom. But, I’m flying Lufthansa on the way to Lisbon and United and the way back. Lufthansa is SUPER strict. United is not.
It's always good to make sure to look up the dimensions of whichever airline you are flying to see if this bag will be acceptable. I've had nothing but success carrying this on, both unexpanded and expanded. It's smaller than most carry-on suitcases.
Once you expand the bag, is it still a carry-on? I would need my electronics, powerbank, power adaptor, and plug adaptor. If you had to add all of that, would you need to expand the bag?
I'm thinking about buying this and putting it inside of my 30-in checked bag. Do you think it will take up a ton of space in there? That way when I buy things while I'm on vacation, I can use this as a carry-on during my return home.
When it's folded and zipped, it measures 15" x 9" x 4". I don't think it takes too much space in a suitcase, especially since it will get you all kinds of extra room for things you buy! Plus the space it took up in your suitcase will be freed up also!
I love this idea. But reviews show that it is a pain in the butt to wheel around. But the fling test looks impressive. I think this bag would be great if you are checking a bag and use this as the personal item underseat. If buy souvenirs, then it can go in the overhead, since the main bag is being checked. Thanks for the review.
Unexpanded, the bag is 16" x 15" x 9" so it'a probably a little too big. I have used it on Jet Blue and West Jet so far (I bought it, in part, since it fit the dimensions for those airlines) and will use it on Ryan Air and KLM this summer - I will let you know!
I have two criteria for an underseat bag (personal item). It must adhere to the airline size restrictions, and it must have a trolley sleeve to slip over the handle of a rolling bag. For domestic flights, my choice is the Nomad Lane Bento bag. Thoughtful compartments for laptop, tech, 3-1-1 pouch, and minimal clothing. For international flights, my choice is the AER Travel Sling 2. A great laptop bag replacement with room for a 3-1-1 pouch and tech. The trolley sleeve saves your back as needed. If I'm traveling with a rollaboard suitcase, I don't need wheels on an underseat personal item bag.
@@angiemcdonald779 You probably know that frequent travelers tend to be passionate about their choice of luggage. Especially if it works for them - until they find something that works better. LOL The Nomad Lane Bento Bag isn't cheap, but they do have a big sale a few times each year. I spent 25 years as a road warrior and I have yet to find a better designed personal item bag at any price - assuming it's paired with a rollaboard bag.
Yes...like Angie said it does have a trolley sleeve at the back. I'm thinking of pairing it with another small Biaggi bag that has a pull up handle and this one will ride on top with the sleeve over the handle. There are so many good bags out there and you definitely need to find the one that works for your specific needs.
We just received this bag and plan to take it on our cruise next month. We are taking our hard sides carryons and this will ride on top. We also purchased the Biaggi tote bag with the packing cube. I haven’t decided yet but I will most likely pack that in the carryon and use it for extra purchased items as well. If we have liquids that can’t be brought in the plane I will pack them in the hard sided case and expand the under seater to a carry on if necessary. It seems to provide a lot of flexibility.
When you expand it, it's a little too long to fit under the seat in front of you, comfortably. On my last trip with it, I used it under the seat going but in the overhead bin coming home. I had a few purchases so needed to expand it.
@@5MinuteTravel I wanted to use it as my personal, but I already had a carry on, so if I brought it, I could only use it as an under seat. Thanks for the feedback.
That can be a complicated issue. Countries have different rules about what can be brought in, what is a "controlled substance", and what kinds of containers can be used. You need to research where you are traveling to and what the restrictions are.
Is that the only bag you take? Where were your pajamas, hair brush and products, cords and chargers, snacks and a few other things I can't think of right now. It does seem to hold a lot.
I am still debating if it will be my only bag or if I'll add another smallish one. In addition to what I showed I'll bring a comb and my small, European flat iron. Everywhere I'm staying this summer has a blow dryer. As far as pajamas, I am going to the warmer parts of Europe this summer so will sleep in a sleeveless, featherweight, knee-length nightshirt that takes up zero space. I'm very much a minimalist on vaca!
This bag has been living in my closet ever since I bought it, because as practical as it looks when you pack, as soon as you leave the house, it becomes obvious that it is next to impossible to carry. A four-wheeled bag requires a rigid handle, otherwise it is physically impossible to make it move alongside you without injuries.
I've had this bag for 3 years, and for the most part I love it for all the reasons noted in this video. It is a bit tricky to roll when it's fully expanded and packed to the brim because you have to pack it in a way where the heaviest things are on the bottom and center to keep it upright. I typically use it as my personal item, with a hardside carryon suitcase, so if I do have more stuff to bring home, I can check the hardside, use this as a carryon, and still be able to carry another small bag as my personal item if needed.
So far I have used it on Jet Blue and West Jet and was able to fit it under the seat in front of me quite easily. This summer I'll be flying West Jet again as well as KLM and Ryan Air - sorry I didn't think to film that on my last business trip! I'm new at this and am learning to cover all of my bases. ☺
Thank you so much. Finally, a traveller who admits to the need for extra space for purchases. How many times have we seen / heard of the benefits of carry on only? I'm not saying carry on isn't a good idea, for the right traveller it can be brilliant. But please don't harp on about how you can fit all your essentials into a shoulder bag, only for it to be overweight and with zero extra space for life's desires. By including this extra space, you have surpassed many and boosted we who appreciate the luxury of room to breath. Please, keep these suggestions coming.
I own this bag. I really wanted to love it for all the reasons outlined in this review. I took it on two trips last summer, one short two night business trip and an extended 10 day vacation with multiple flights and hotels. I now can unequivocally state that I hate this bag!

Agree! That's why I usually only use it for short trips where I don't need to pack it tight.
I'm pretty sure overpacking is the issue when it comes to the bag falling over. It's common to see videos of bags packed beyond dimensions of the bag.
@@kurtthecat3995 I can assure you my bag is not overpacked. Since these are soft sided bags, if you so not have the weight distributed just right, they will tip over.

Now since having this bag for a while, how do you feel about it? I'm researching biaggi quality as an option. I like the compact storage and conversion of these bags.
I like it very much for short trips where I only need one or two changes of clothes and minimal accessories. It's compact and very easy to handle.
I've been looking at this bag, thanks for the thorough review.
I'm glad you found it helpful!
I was wondering when expanded will it still fit under the seat and be considered a personal item and not carry.
I just used this bag on a short trip to the Cape and packed a light weigh jacket in that bottom part (where the wheels flip over) and it fit perfectly!
I have this bag and absolutely love its versatility!
It really is a great bag! Nice for short getaways. :)
I just got the London Fog carry on with the under the seat bag with wheels... both for $ 159. (Marshall) fantastic, the best. Highly recommend.
There are a lot of great carry-ons out there - glad you found one that works well!
Haha! Yes - the suitcase graveyard is for sure, a thing! I love expandable carry-ons too. So practical for shopping!
Always my go-to bags…compression cubes/backpack/to even a 31” wheeled case…all of which compacted fir in my hard sided carryon ‼️
Have survived many travels and always ready for more‼️‼️‼️‼️
Glad you love them! They are great bags…🙂
WOW, that's amazing! I kept wondering where to pull handle was. The handle is the strap! WOW!!! Thanks so much for sharing this product.
Yes! It has the short straps attached and an additional ling strap to pull it along by the wheels.
This bag looks FANTASTIC! I am going to order it because I won’t have to worry about storing it when not in use.
Yes...as long as you pack it with the heavy things at the bottom, it will work well for you!!
The bag seems pretty amazing, but the only issue I can see is the bag has wheels yet it doesn't have a telescopic handle. For me the wheels seem useless. It would be hard to roll this bag because it is so close to the ground.
They make one with a trolley handle also.
Yes! I actually tried that one out this summer. I'll be posting a review - it definitely has it's pros and cons.
I love how you use them! They really are incredibly practical for all sorts of travel...including how you use it with your pup!
hello, love the elephant make up bag!
What are the measurements for this bag? Will it still fit the under airline seat when expanded?
When it's expanded it will need to go in the overhead.
nice bag. highly functional. I have something I love that can store a lot and go under the seat also. I get extra space by placing my packing cubes in a compression bag. was able to pack a winter coat into my carry on using this method last year on a trip to Alaska.
It's so nice when you find something that works well for you! Compression bags look amazing - I need to try them!
This looks like a great bag. I may have to purchase. Thanks for the video.
GREAT REVIEW!!!🎉🎉🎉
I love the bag. Great efficient video thanks for sharing your opinion and info on the bag.
I'm glad you liked it!
I have several of their bags. I love the back pack and the suitcases with the handles. I don’t live the wheeled bags with no handles. Another option for that bottom section above the wheels is to put shoes in it.
For sure! That would definitely keep the weight towards the bottom of the bag.
I’m glad you found my review helpful! 😊
I can attest this does make a great underseat bag. The agents are always amazed it fits in their bin!!!
Have you enjoyed the bag?
Definitely OK for a carry-on but I wouldn't count on getting away with using it as your personal item - it's probably a bit big for that.
Thanks! I had the same question. I went with the Biaggi Carry Cube Backpack as my personal item. I love it!!!
Thank you!
1) It's 3.85 pounds
2) I have carried it onto at least 6 different airlines, fully expanded, with no issues
3) It's a soft-sided bag - I would check it with clothes inside but nothing breakable or fragile. :)
Love the Mola in the back wall!!
Thank you! It was a gift from family friends who visited Panama back in the 70s.
Underseat bags in🇦🇺are a moot point. Rarely find seats that have enough space. However, small carry-on bags are essential for ease of travel.
I love the concept for your channel! I'm such a sucker for ripstop/nylon bags with great pockets and I'm going to have to get this one too
It's a great bag! Thanks for watching! I'll have another video up in a week or so.
@@5MinuteTravel awesome! I put this bag on my wishlist for Mother's Day haha I showed my husband last night as a hint!
Does this bag have a trolley strap or o put it over a carry on as a personal item?
Yes, it does have a strap across the back.🙂
Hello! Glad to find your video, I’m gonna get that carry on, thanks for the great tips❤
How does this roll? Smoothly? No problem pulling it by straps?
I find that it pulls very well!
So happy to have found this video. I bought this exact bag at a thrift shop and had no idea how to use it or what was going on with it. Thanks for posting!
What a great find! Thanks for watching my video!
@@5MinuteTravel You're welcome!
Once you expand it can it still go under seat?
Not on any airline that I have flown - after it's expanded it's a little too big and has to be put into the overhead bin.
Just bought this as well as a piece of their luggage. Lightness was number 1 priority.
That is one thing I LOVE too. It weighs very little and isn't bulky.
Could you tell me if the two black handles would fit over the “pull” handle on a hard sided luggage so you could wheel together?
There is actually a strap on the back of the bag designed to fit over the pull-handle of a suitcase. It holds it in place quite firmly!
Absolutely! That's what I love about it. It's easy to get around and can be carried on no matter how you decide to expand or not expand it.
I could see this as a nice option to pair with a carryon suitcase. Great video!
For sure! I’m thinking of pairing it with their Lift Off bag for this summer.
I am a world traveler who takes 3 transatlantic trips a year. This bag is more trouble than it’s worth. It tips. No matter how I pack it it tips. Sorry. A great concept but lacking in stability once expanded.
*MIND BLOWN* !!!!
Does it still fit under seats when expanded or does it have to go in the overhead bin?
@@5MinuteTravel 💖thank you!!!
Spirit Frontier AA allows 18x14x8 inch for "personal item" so it us too big for these. Delta considers 18x13x9 personal item.
I owned this bag for a couple of years. I do like it, but do not like how it’s a struggle to pull it without feel like I’m fighting to keep it upright. I haven’t used it after a few months of travel.
Nice bag. Do you have any suggestions on a lightweight backpack to use as a carryon personal item?
I don't have a "nice", purse-looking backpack. I usually just use a Gregory 24liter pack if I'm wanting something that's hands free. It holds quite a bit and is easy to stow.
I have this bag. It does not stand up at all. It also does not roll with a darn. It has great options but I seriously won't take it back to Africa with me. It rolls horribly. I wound up carrying it thru Doha airport which was not fun.
I usually only take it on short business trips. I find that if you load it from the bottom it will stay upright.
Agreed it’s awful. Always falling over so you will carry it more than you will pull it around. It needs to be redesigned
I've never heard of this company, but I love the idea. I've put the bag on my wishlist (even though I don't need another bag.)
How does this bag perform on its wheels using only the straps to pull it? That is my only concern.
Good luck!
Great review.
Thank you!
Did i miss the tall handle? Why does such a short bag need wheels?
I love biaggi bags. I have 5 different ones
Nice to meet a fellow enthusiast!! :)
What an awesome video. Thank you for sharing. Will you be getting the underseat biaggi as well?. Its the one that looks like a suitcase. Thanks
This one is an underseat carry on. I think I'm probably going to pair it with their Lift Off bag.
@@5MinuteTravel i am going to have to review the Lift Off Bag
@@marilynthompson6528 Update...I just bought the Lift Off bag - for this summer, I plan to pair it with the one I review in this video.
What walking shoes do you wear? Looking for some comfortable walking shoes.
I wear Altra Olympus trail runners and/or Born brand sandals. Both are great! (sorry for the late reply...I've been traveling. :) )
Yes! Sometimes smaller packing cubes in different shapes work best. I've seen their hard sided bags and they also have interesting features!
Great review! I'd love to know the brand of your first makeup bag with the elephant on it!
Thank you! It's from a company called Narwey...you can get it on Amazon here. I take mine everywhere and really love it! amzn.to/3p3BTGq
You can put your shoes on the bottom compartment, where you said you could put your passport. Paperwork I take in my purse.
It's a very flat compartment - I don't think you could fit anything more than flip-flips in there, if that.
This really seems like a great bag. What a good price.
It really is good for packing for short, weekend trips and as a carry-on for longer trips. I use it all the time!
I'll look into it!
@@5MinuteTravel Yay! Let us know how you want us to proceed with this. :)
Question: when extended, does it fit under the seat? If so, I would buy one.
Looks great but how much does everything weigh? Many airlines will restrict the size.
I've taken it on several flights and haven't had a problem. It's a very compact bag and I don't stuff it full.
I have this.. its really annoying when your trying to pull it down the airport on it's wheels.
Sorry it isn't working well for you! It's important to pack this bag from the bottom up, with bulkier items at the bottom.
How much does it weigh? I’m debating if it will work for my uses.
Unpacked, it's 3.85 pounds.
I love Biaggi - have so many of their items! Quick side question: love your shirt - do you remember where you got it? Thanks!
Haha thank you! I got it a few years ago at Zara - I LOVE their stuff! Nice to meet another Biaggi fan! 😄
Will this bag fit under the seat of an American Airlines plane? Specifically isle seat?
That's a great question. When it's unexpanded, I think it will fit. Expanded, it will need to go in the overhead.
Once you expand the bag, is it still a carry-on? I would need my electronics, powerbank, power adaptor, and plug adaptor. If you had to add all of that, would you need to expand the bag?
Yes! You just won't be able to fit it under the seat. It's still well within the measurements for the overhead bin.
Is the first make up bag you showed is it the small or large one?
The small blue and white one with the elephants. :)
@@5MinuteTravel yes that one

Very neat bag.
The two I got from Amazon were $27 each.
has anyone used this bag on KLM airlines? Did it fit under the seat properly? Their size restrictions is 16" x 12" x 6 ".
It has a trolley sleeve
I have this bag. Can you use it's full size as an under seat, or would it be considered a normal carry on?
When you expand it, it's a little too long to fit under the seat in front of you, comfortably. On my last trip with it, I used it under the seat going but in the overhead bin coming home. I had a few purchases so needed to expand it.
@@5MinuteTravel I wanted to use it as my personal, but I already had a carry on, so if I brought it, I could only use it as an under seat. Thanks for the feedback.
Like it a lot but would prefer using one with a pull on handle… more convenient specially if its heavy😘
I have watched multiple of these carry on videos and I have never seen the packing of medications.
I'm sorry to hear it doesn't work for you. I've taken it on multiple trips and it rolls along just fine. :)
Do they make an anti-theft bag?
I don't believe they do.
For sure! Packing this bag from the bottom is key to having it roll well. It's great to expand for everything you buy!
You didn't show us how the fully packed bag would fit under the seat?
So far I have used it on Jet Blue and West Jet and was able to fit it under the seat in front of me quite easily. This summer I'll be flying West Jet again as well as KLM and Ryan Air - sorry I didn't think to film that on my last business trip! I'm new at this and am learning to cover all of my bases. ☺

Agree 100%!
It would be helpful if you had included the dimensions. Thank you.
The dimensions are 16" x 15" x 9". When extended it's 21" x 15" x 9".
