Your hair always looks sooooo healthy, super moisturized and shiny!!! Question: Is there is a shiny film left on your hands after you take these out..? I used to moisturize my hair often but didn't seal it in (with an oil) as much.. and I wondered why my hair was always dry. But now that I'm sealing, it feels greasy at times. Trying to find the right balance! Anyway, thanks for being such an amazing hair inspiration!!!

Great twist-out! I really appreciate the fact that you show the benefits of using natural/simple products to achieve definition and moisture. I have recently realized that I don't need to spend tons of money on products that I can make at home. My shea butter mixture is treating me just fine. Love your channel!

When I don't have bobby pins, I modify this method by flat twisting my twists so that they are stretched. The next day a beautiful big twistout emerges!

After reading through some of the comments I see why some of vloggers disable the comment section. People figure if they say no disrespect and say what they want to say if u have the sense that your comments is disrespectful then don't say it. Its a shame how we let satan take ovwr our mind and just hateful things for no reason. If u don't like her videos then dont watch. She's just showing her methods on how she care for her hair, so if it bores u then kick rocks and keep it moving.

+ItsurGurlAshalay2008 ,I'm trying it just looks all "nappy" and fuzzy when I take it down with essential oils on my finger tips to reduce it! it's difficult but I don't want to go back to relaxers

+My Haitian Angel Show I hear you I've been natural for a year now and I have "4c hair" the key for me was experimenting and seeing what my hair likes than once I found out I stick to it! I take a lot of extra steps in moisturizing my hair like I layer products when I do the loc method
But it's what works for me don't give up keep trying ! Just listen to your hair

    • @cathyjean1931
      @cathyjean1931 8 років тому +4

+My Haitian Angel Show hi! I used to have that problem where my hair would look fuzzy or dry when I'd take my twists out and what I found that helped was using products that are heavier. Creams and oils are nice and all for moisture, but I find for type 4 hair, we need butters (Shea or mango butters) gels (flaxseed is nice) and overall more deep conditioning. What I use is water and My leave in, I use Giovanni's direct leave in because it's so thick, all over my hair first. Then I twist with Shea moisture curl and style milk and their curling gel soufflé. I hope this helps! :) oh! And also be careful not to use too much because since they are heavier, too much product can weigh the hair down. Good luck!

Thank you so much for posting this. I tried to do a twist out last night; I did 5 twists but only on the bottom half of my hair (the part that I sealed with oil). I thought I would be able to have loose wavy twists this morning. They came out super tight and short, and didn't show my length at all. I ended up combing out the twists as much as I could, and I'm just wearing a bushy ponytail today. I will try this stretching method tonight. I love, love, love your hair! Thank you again.

  • @wannabestarinsomthin

Try this: after you come out of the shower, dry your hair using a t-shirt instead of a towel: it will reduce the frizz. Then when hair is 80% dry seal in your moisture by rubbing oil and shea butter through each section of hair you're about to twist, and then smooth it out and twist it. Frizz is when the hair is rubbed the wrong way or its not getting enough moisture. So hopefully that should help :)

there is NO reason to dislike this video, but no doubt people are free to do as they choose to some degree... she is a beautiful black educated woman who feels as though she could reach out and encourage other women.. and that is why I say only a jealous woman or man who does not have the confidence to do the same thing as this woman is, will be the only ones to spread their negativity around.. we all need to love ourselves so that we can stop hating on the next female!

@candybird79 Everyone's hair grows. If you have afro hair it is more fragile, so using heat and perms breaks the hair so it seems like your hair isn't growing. The hair is actually growing about an 1inch a month for everyone that isn't bald. If you brush your hair when it is dry you pull out and break off a lot of hair strands. Only comb your hair when it is wet to avoid excessive hair breakage. This is the rule for all curly hair.

  • @ananse77

@MsBOOPiiE Your question was funny. Her hair is fully natural. It doesn't matter whether she did a BC (big chop) or not. Maybe she's worn her hair natural her whole life. Maybe she had relaxed hair, but instead of doing the BC, she cut off the relaxed ends little by little. To get her hair like that, all she has to do is grow it out of her scalp. (As do you, assuming you are black with type 4 hair).

Ive been natural for almost a year but I don't really know how to do natural styles, so I just always go to the salon every month and have my hair washed and straightened. its past shoulder length almost armpit length. However, I LOVE this style so much I am going to try and do it!! thanks for making such AMAZING videos!

hi naptural85, my biggest problem with wearing twistouts is that it gets so frizzy by the end of the day. i also use water and shea butter and i want to say we have similar hair textures, but what do you recommend to reduce frizz...or to have the twist outs last for a full day without it turning to a big afro.
love love your vids btw! please keep it up

AWESOME...WOW.....Another fabulous, to-the-point tutorial with great music. WOW...This explains how that one random strand that got laid out in my wrap was longer than the others this morning. I was also doing this by accident a while ago and never realized it was the reason why my hair was longer and fuller before (DOOH! says Homer). THANKS!!! Keep up the great work:o)

im really trying to hold strong. I havent had a perm since apr 22. and normally i would have gotten one every 5 weeks. I am struggling with how to keep it from doing the flyaway helmet thing. also im trying to keep from using heat. if you or anyone has any suggestions i would love them on ways to style mostly relaxed hear that is about chin length.

This is great b/c my favorite product is Shea Moisture, and I spritz my hair with water/glycerine prior which shrinks my BSL length hair (unti I cut in a few weeks *tears*) to mid-neck! I perfer the look of a twist-out over a braid-out, but I likethe length of a braid out. I'm gonna implement this on Sun as I prepare for my new job (Praise HIM!)!!!! Great video, as always... 8•)

Your statement was about people who disliked the video. Wasn't it ? I gave you a reply about my own feeling about this method. I think the banding method makes it look better, with less shrinkage. Maybe not for everybody, but for my 3a hair type, it does. What does it have to do with jalousy ?

I love your results, wish I could spend time on my hair. My son is only 18 mo and it seems as if it takes an act of congress to get the time to actually do my hair. Actually it takes me getting up with the roosters on a Sunday morning while he and my hubby are sleeping. Lately I have just been rocking protective styles. I will try this one day I am certain.
Also that song is rockin as well!!!!
