I remember watching it and losing it. Then having a little mini arc break before rewatching the grief that naruto went through finding out. That one was even more painful imo
Sasori's story was one of the saddest in all of Naruto. That scene where the puppet master has puppet representations of his dead parents hug him, coupled with his theme song, was just heartbreaking.
Shikamaru grieves is my personal #1 moment, from the scene set with his father to the dialogue and watching Shikamaru slowly getting uncomfortable before he finally loses it at his father and then letting it all out. Goosebumps moment
the thing i cried when it came to Zabuza was he remained straight faced about Haku's death, until Naruto said all that stuff to him about Haku and finally you hear Zabuza say "Shut up" and Naruto looks at him and you see the tears.
The lonest people are the kindest, the saddest people smile the brightest, the most damage people are the wisest. All because. They do not wish to see anyone suffer the way they do.
I re-watch the Land of Waves Arc any time I'm looking for nostalgia and/or a good cry. Haku and Zabuza's tragic story, their depth and impact, as well as that banger soundtrack.. It gets me everytime.
Neji's death still hurts me the most. Someone who was so full of anger towards his own family, and found the will to forgive them was a masterclass in character growth.
Not a bad choice. My opinion on that is that Neji's death came out of left field. Masashi failed in developing that character enough for me to care. He never mattered after the Sasuke Retrieval Arc. Hinata's "sacrifice" hit me harder.
One moment that will never fail to make me cry was Sasuke’s “death” at the hands of Haku. The way he sacrificed himself for Naruto and then watching Sakura grieve over his body was just so heartbreaking. I cried tears of joy when he woke up. Sasuke may be an extremely complex, morally grey character, but he was only a child then. It hurt to hear him say that his brother was still out there and that he wanted to avenge his clan, which I thought he’d never get to do.
That’s not really well rounded since we had spent years watching Jiraiya with Naruto (either by Manga or the Anime). With Mufasa we know him for about half an hour but he solidified himself in our hearts.
I never cried throughut Naruto but Jiraiya's death, Itachi's final goodbye to Sasuke and Kurama's death made me sad. And Naruto asking Iruka to be his dad for his wedding was all sort of feels
Of all the character deaths that took place, Asuma's hit me the hardest. Shikamaru's face was just heartbreaking. Jiraiya and Neji were a close second.
Asuma's death, Guy's sacrifice, Neji's death, Minato and Naruto's final goodbye, Naruto meeting Kushina, death of The Third, and death of Jiraiya are my tops - not necessarily in order, but Jiraiya would be #1. I can't believe some of the moments included in this video!
Naruto's last good bye to Minato will always be No. 1 for me. It was really beautiful to see Naruto trying his best to keep his tears and lastly crying his eyes out.
Same 😭 I started watching the show wit my dad, he passed so it kills me so much watching the scene but now as a father myself still can’t watch it wit out boo boo crying
Lee´s fight vs Gaara with those flashbacks with Guy saving him; and Guy saying he would die if Lee also died at the surgery, were the ones I cried the most.
When those music tracks start playing, you know it's going to be a tear jerker😢. Naruto has too many sad moments, especially the backstories of certain characters.
Jiraiya's death is just heartbreaking especially given the effect it had on Naruto and Tsunade. Naruto lost his father figure while with Tsunade it's a tragically incomplete story with them.
There are definitely some good picks on here, but the only scene in all of Naruto that really got me was Naruto's reaction to jiraiyas death. That scene when he bought the popsicle completely kills me, I can't watch it without crying. That's the second saddest anime moment of all time imo
The third hokage’s sacrifice, losing Asuma and Neji, Itachi’s past and his final words to sasuke, minato’s return to the afterlife, so many deaths in naruto it’s hard to say which one the most heartbreaking for me.
@@godemperorofmankind3.091 so the fact that he massacred their clan in order to save his home and younger brother is irrelevant to you? The fact that he was willing to become a traitor to his clan and village to save it and sasuke from being caught up in war is beside the point? Most people when backed into a corner like Itachi was would do whatever it took to protect everything they held dear even if it meant betrayal to one’s family, clan and country. Everything Itachi did to Sasuke was cruel yes, but when learning about everything that led to uchiha massacre and why Itachi couldn’t bring himself to kill his younger brother, how can that not paint someone in a new light?
@@notimeleft1 itachi did whatever it took to destroy sasukes mind and life, and drive him violently insane. his plan was to make sure Sasuke went insane and became a dangerous unstoppable psychopath, for his own amusement and love of abuse and control. not only did he not protect Sasuke, he tortured and abused him as much as possible, as painfully as possible. he ordered Sasuke to begin murdering his own friends to steal undeserved power so i doubt itachi cares about konoha or people's lives. itachi lied about and covered up mass genocide even though konoha deserved to know what happened.
Neji being stabbed was rough, but the poor guy didn’t do anything in Shippuden (canonically) since the Rescue Kazekage Arc. His end came as a shock, but I wish we had more time with Neji so losing him would hurt more.
my friend suggested naruto to me to watch, but he didn't know that I'm a very emotional person. I think I cried in 200 moments not 20! Naruto will always be my favourite tv show ever! ❤
Jiraya's death will always be a part of me. I'll never forget the Beloved Pervy Sage, even when time passes on. It broke my heart into a million pieces. 💔💔💔💔😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
@@godemperorofmankind3.091yeah, i agree he put sasuke through so much trauma and abuse, but thats why the edo itachi confession hits hard. Itachi acknowledges, that everything he did was wrong, saying he should have told sasuke the truth from the start... I think if they did just that in the Manga, they could have spon an awesome double agent story around it. Although it would have made akatsuki a lot less intimidating if they did i think
Quite the leap there. You forget Itachi prevented a civil war & couldn’t tell Sasuke about it because he knew he will 1-man army the whole hidden leaf if he found out how Uchiha were ostracised
@@th94or how? Sasuke only gets as powerful as he does BECAUSE itachi brutalized him twice and drove him down a dark and vengeful path, which Sasuke himself nearly turns back from, at least twice. and Sasuke also only gets as evil as he does because of itachi's brutality towards him. so itachi created his own monster himself and he cant act surprised. that makes no sense.
i think when it comes to gaara and his father, the tears dont truly start to flow until the music is playing and you see his moms hands are over Gaara's head and her head i there. thats when the tears fully come down, plus when he says "My mom is indeed wonderful, she helped me for the first time in my life to receive medicine from my father"
I agree with the 1st position on this list, not because it was the most emotional one, but because it was when we first experienced a true emotional moment in Naruto. Before this, there was comedy, action and mistery....and then this happened. This is the first time the series made us cry like babies.
what I came here for: crying over sad moments in Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden. What I got instead: short clips with no music which could not raise any emotions and a huge spoiler that Boruto is dead
In my opinion, one of the saddest moments is when Naruto accepts his hatred at the waterfall of truth. That one hurt a lot. The conversation is just devastating.
Bro. The top 5 moments can be argued with literally any of these Top 20 moments, it just depends on who's your favorite and how you felt going into it. But Kuramas death is undisputed number 1 for me.. I literally grew up with Naruto. I started watching it in 2003, I was 7 when I really got into it. When Kurama died, that hit HARD bro. Growing up with those characters? That's something else man.
No two words have made my eyes well up faster than "Itachi's Past". Just them saying that and knowi g what they were going to mention was enough to get the water works going.
One of the many lessons the Naruto series taught me was it's fun to build and grow but it's always good to never forget about anyone around you, also 🌀
Naruto and Hinata finally confessing their love for each other and kissing is truly a touching scene. It reminds me of the happy moments of Kim Possible and Ron, and Phineas and Isabella.
There's a truth none of you is ready to acknowledge. No one who watched the anime ever felt so close to Jiraiya as they think, however, his death hit us so hard because of what he meant to Naruto that we got ourselves thinking our feeling for Jiraiya were deeper than they really were.
I think kuramas death should have been ranked higher, the fact that its a bond being forged since day 1 and a bond that we thought could never ever be broken makes it deserved to be ranked higher
I have said this for a long time. Killing Kurama was the most STUPID thing the series has ever done. Kurama was the source of Narutos power that everyone was afraid of and such a core part of his character and they just killed him off. That was the most idiotic thing I've ever seen in anime. It's just as bad as taking away Walkers Indian heritage in the Texas Ranger reboot
I will say that most of your list is correct, but I love Naruto ALOT, and my opinion was Asuma's death was the saddest mainly because it was unexpected. I love the videos your team makes and i give my support.
Parents love is unmatched... As a father i don't want my child to see the softer side of me i just want him to see the tougher side... Coz life is too harsh to be soft and don't put to much trust on someone even relatives and friends it is where you will hurt most... Reality is too far from expectations...
Why was I getting chocked up during this whole video? 😭 Notice how the majority of sad things that happened is in Shippuden. Damn that anime was good ♥️
Some of the most teary-eyed moments for me weren't tragedies but times Kurama finally revealed he cared about Naruto and convinced the 16 other tailed beings and their Jinchuriki he is as trustworthy as their father the sage of 6 paths

Jiraya goodbye, minato and kushina death, asking iruka to be his father for the wedding, and watching the final ending made me cry… but Naruto’s goodbye to minato fucking ended me 😭 losing my father I wish I could have that moment with him and it kills me every time!

Sasori's story was one of the saddest in all of Naruto. That scene where the puppet master has puppet representations of his dead parents hug him, coupled with his theme song, was just heartbreaking.
I agree and first time I cried when the old lady sacrificed her life to save gaara
Naruto has made me cry more than any other series
The amount of heart and emotions in this show are what make it my absolute favorite series.
ikr 😭
Naruto and One Piece
Not every other scene, but Naruto meeting his mother and those episodes in general will surely make anyone cry.
I had tears of joy meeting his parents, and his final goodbye to minato is hurts so much
Shikamaru grieves is my personal #1 moment, from the scene set with his father to the dialogue and watching Shikamaru slowly getting uncomfortable before he finally loses it at his father and then letting it all out. Goosebumps moment
Jiraiya’s death broke my heart into so many pieces. 💔💔💔
I miss the Pervy Sage everyday, even when time has passed. 😭😭😭
I liked how Shikamaru's father who came from a generation of "You dont cry" just say to Shikamaru "Just let it out"
Whoever made this list has no soul, Naruto meeting his mother has to a top 5 tearjerkers moment.
the thing i cried when it came to Zabuza was he remained straight faced about Haku's death, until Naruto said all that stuff to him about Haku and finally you hear Zabuza say "Shut up" and Naruto looks at him and you see the tears.
Of course number 1 has to be the scence that made us fall in love with naruto and anime altogether
Yeah, that Zabuza episode was the first one that hit all the water valves open. I didn't realize anime could do that before then.
The lonest people are the kindest, the saddest people smile the brightest, the most damage people are the wisest. All because. They do not wish to see anyone suffer the way they do.

Itachi’s final goodbye is one of the only moments in anime that really got my choked up
why?
Naruto reacting to Jiraya’s death is the saddest moment in all anime. Remembering all he been through leading up to this moment was heartbreaking.
Unpopular opinion: Jiraiya’s death was sadder than Mufasa’s
