Except for getting in the wrong side of the Jeep to drive, nice video....just kidding. Good video from the states.
Thanks for watching, I reckon you guys get in the wrong side to drive too, weird huh!
all good, as long as you end up on the side with the steering wheel
Because of your reaction at the 6:06 mark, I purchased the same thing. I could not be happier! Thanks for the video!
Not a problem, glad to have helped
I fitted the slip joint version on my 2000 TJ Sport. It was so good I fitted a flanged one to my wife's 2004 Sahara. Both came from Quadratec but in the box documents were Magnaflow. Great value even with shipping to Scottish Highlands and a great sound with the 4l motor
Agree, glad its working well for you!
i didnt know pete rose had a brother
Thanks, Darryl, this was very helpful; was going to have a shop do mine, now I see it's very DYI! And good price for a decent system from Quadratec.
Glad to help!
I'm surprised your stock exhaust bolts weren't welded on like in other youtube videos
Because Australia, we don’t have the rust issues you guys have
Nice work. I’m thinking of building my TJ
Go for it!
Could we get an update on the exhaust? Maybe some rev and drive by shots, I have the banks exhaust and the drone is killing me. I love the tone of it but at cruising speed it can get a bit annoying
I have no drone whatsoever, very happy with it. That said, I have damaged the muffler when a rear uni let go and I'm presuming at some point I'll have to replace it.
Enjoyed the video ! I think this may be going on my 2006 TJ soon
I'm very happy with it, has got a little deeper note at idle now.
@@DarrylSheather little deeper sounds good to me
What is the specific name of the exhaust? There are a lot of options on the quadratrec website and I'm having trouble finding the one that you used.
Good video. I was looking specifically for this catback.
I had an Afe cat back on my old Jeep which was a great investment. It definitely improved throttle response, gas mileage and torque. Does this improve anything besides sounding good? I have an '05 TJ Rocky Mtn and looking to replace the stock exhaust but not too keen on the $417 cost of the 49-46229 Afe cat back exhaust.
I don't think any cat back is going to give you much performance increase on an NA engine. Just buy something good quality with mandrel bends and it should serve you well.
@@DarrylSheather Update - ended up returning the Afe because it didn't have the growl the Afe scorpion had. For some odd reason they don't sell anything like it for the TJ. The one I had was a mouse. But I found a cat back exhaust equal to or perhaps even better, the Banks Power cat back exhaust. Perfect growl and burble, no drone whatsoever.
Hi Darryl, I was wondering if you could foresee any issues with buying Quadratec LED Tail Light Kit for 01-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ from USA and putting on my Australian Jeep Tj? Is it the same set up? I know this is a little off topic from your Exhaust video but you might know if I’m wasting my money having the led rear lights sent over...? I appreciate any advice you might have. Jules (Victoria).
We need the euro taillight version, the US rear lights don't have a yellow flashing turn signal.
@@DarrylSheather thank you for that. I ordered the same exhaust as you have installed in this vid... again sand question am I likely to run into any problems with regards to install? Did I need to order anything extra?
@@MrYou76tube No it should all come in the kit, with a bit of wiggling it'll bolt straight up to the standard system
Great Video!
Thanks mate!
Do you have spacers between the skid plate and frame? (04 owner here...)
Currently yes, it’s part of the OME suspension kit. Will take them out when the SYE goes in
Great vid! Sorry for ignorant question but I’m not very mechanically minded... does this exhaust improve performance?
Hey Jules, great question! No it doesn't, however if you need to replace an ageing exhaust or just want a better quality exhaust with a slightly better sound these quality bolt on versions are a great option. For me, with the restoration of the TJ after 16 years of use new Catalytic convertors and exhaust means I should get another 16 years out of these parts without issues. Hope that helps
How is that Quadratec Competition CatBack system held up since install? Any surface rust? Still happy with sou d?
Very happy, it's got a little deeper at idle which sounds great. No rust whatsoever however being stainless I'd suggest you shouldn't have a rust issue anyway.
What the hec.. You are Ricky Hatton right? sorry if im the only one ever told you that.
I had to google him!
What model magnaflow kit is it?
Quadratec has a rebranded Magnaflow, it’s that one
"Project TJ" real original dude
Thanks for watching dude
@@DarrylSheather Good video brother do you have the part number please

SoOooOoOo glad I have a WJ, as this looks like a complete horseshit job to do!
I WAITED FOR YOU TO REV THE ENGINE SO I COULD HEAR THE DAM SOUND!! SO DISA POINTED SUCH A WASTE OF MY TIME!😳🤨
