    I'm not saying whether or not 52 is effective in a real fight, although it does look official with boxing fundamentals, but Lyte gets my respect for the knowledge of his art and respect he shows for other people and martial arts.

    I don’t really understand what you mean by nullify, in the first examples you are using the over hand vs the lead uppercut and the lead uppercut vs the rear uppercut because the first strike beats the second strike to the target while impeding their path, or one punch dominates the other, but in the latter examples you are just evading and countering with punches that could honestly be interchanged?

  • @qudavid1128
    @qudavid1128 7 років тому

    Invaluable teaching.
    Is the reverse order directly effective or f example, an overhand right n lead uppercut can be used t nullify a 1-2 puncher?

    • @rayelmoreii2631

      qu David The sequence is set up for the best results not the only results. Just like in school study habits that result in getting an A or B and so on. U can use them out of sequence just not gone be as efficiently effective. Then u wud have to take on account ur defense to block whr u mite b open for ur opponents counter to ur strike.

    Am I going to be able to learn the system just by watching the videos or do I need a foundational study somewhere else?

      videos can help but so much eventually you need to get a foundation

    What about right hook?

    • @52blocksinfo
      @52blocksinfo  4 роки тому

      but he not southpaw

    • @palereaper
      @palereaper 4 роки тому

      Right hook can still be a viable option when fighting orthodox/orthodox, especially when you step in at a diagonal angle. (Watch the boxer Salvador Sanchez highlights to see some of this)
      Thanks for taking the time to response, loving the content man

  • @BigFish420
    @BigFish420 7 років тому

    Ok, you demonstrated the setup for using you hook to force your op into the uppercut, then in reverse. But in reverse what if your opponent is doing the same to you? Then you are fighting his speed, or is there another hidden counter to that

      if he is trying to lead you by going uppercut to land the hook you just have to learn how to use a pro active defense and learn to move for the sake of moving in other words don't stand there

    So according to this and the way you throw it, the Overhand punch is the king of all the punches with apparently no boxing technique answer to it! The Overhand moves in 2 vectors: both vertical and horizontal so the ONLY ways to deal with them with the Wing Chun PRINCIPLE of attack and defense simultaneously is both bob and weave sommersault to ankle pick like Tony Ferguson does to the lead leg (borrowing the opponent's direction of force from throwing the Overhand punch) as a wrestling resort or both bob and weave away from the Overhand then simultaneously throw a spinning hook kick to the head while the opponent's punch is still not retracted!
    PRINCIPLE OVER TECHNIQUE anyday! No style is superior to another!
